BRIDES BEWARE!!

I would strongly caution anyone considering Angelina’s for their wedding. We spent a significant amount of money and expected the level of service, organization, and coordination we had discussed and were told we would receive. Unfortunately, our actual wedding-day experience fell far short. We arrived around 10 AM, but there was essentially no staff available until around noon. Food and drinks that were supposed to be ready for us in the bridal suite were not prepared as expected, and service throughout the morning felt disorganized. The ceremony coordination was one of the biggest disappointments. We were given verbal instructions beforehand, but there was no real rehearsal or proper walkthrough. When the ceremony started, I ended up having to figure out where I was supposed to stand. After we were married, there was no recessional music playing until I personally had to get someone’s attention. The ceremony was also delayed instead of beginning when planned. We spent hours creating our seating chart and carefully deciding where every guest would sit. Some guests still ended up sitting in the wrong seats. We only had SIX tables. Something we put so much time and thought into was not executed properly. The bar situation was even more frustrating. We paid for an open-bar package, yet multiple guests were still charged for drinks. We were initially told refunds would be handled. Our guests provided proof of the charges, yet afterward we were given conflicting information about the refunds, and our guests told us they had not received them. There was also an uncomfortable situation involving our photographer. Before our grand entrance, our photographer was publicly told that pictures could not be taken. The owner eventually had to get involved. Having tension surrounding the person we hired to document our wedding was completely unnecessary. We also specifically asked for desserts, including fried Oreos and churros, to be packed because we knew we would not have time to enjoy them during the reception. We never received them. We were later offered replacement desserts, but remaking them afterward does not replace what was missed on our wedding night. What makes this especially frustrating is that we DID ask questions beforehand. We discussed expectations. We were told how things would be handled. We planned around what we were told. The problem was not a lack of communication or preparation on our part. The problem was that too many of the things we were told would happen simply did not happen. I understand that no wedding will ever be completely perfect. Small things happen. But there is a major difference between a minor hiccup and repeatedly watching important plans fall through on one of the biggest days of your life. Based on our personal experience, I cannot recommend Angelina’s for a wedding. You only get one wedding day. Once it is over, there is no opportunity to go back and have the experience you were promised.
