About this venue
Ethereal Confections is more than just a chocolate company. We’re a chocolate shop, cafe, speakeasy and event space (two spaces in fact), all rolled into one, located in Woodstock, IL–where Groundhog Day was filmed. Our staff is dedicated to making your special day perfect. No surprises, no headaches. You just focus on having fun and creating memories, and we’ll do the rest. The Loft at Ethereal is our original venue located about our cafe, chocolate shop (and speakeasy)! It has exposed brick walls, hardwood floors, and large windows. Your guests will be greeted with the aroma of chocolate as soon as they walk in. It has a max capacity of 80 guests. Courthouse Square (opened in September 2023), is great for weddings of 75-130, with a max of 150. It is a show stopper with it’s historic architecture and modern finishes. With amenities such as a large wedding suite with lots of natural light and a separate ceremony room option, the space has been renovated with you in mind.

From the moment guests walk in, they’re greeted by the scent of chocolate—adding a little extra magic to your day. It’s the perfect setting for a wedding that feels personal, cozy, and uniquely you.

The perfect location and team!
Our experience with Etheral, and specifically Kelsey, from the moment we first saw the space to our special day, was incredible. From the moment we first saw the space and met with Kelsey, we knew this location and service were what we were looking for. Throughout the process, the guidance, timely responses, and recommendations were on point! The actual wedding was a perfect day! The flow of the day was stellar with Kelsey, our other vendors, our guests and the actual set up and needs of the wedding. We had a magical day and the team and Kelsey really knocked it out of the park from the first visit to the day of!!!

I had my wedding in the winter and what a winter wonderland! The staff was super nice, and very easy to work with regarding all the emails and questions I had. The venue is beautiful, with the ability to decorate how you would like. There was Santa in the square which was amazing especially looking back at my wedding photo's.

We have been working with Ethereal ever since Kelsey came on board and it has been a wonderful experience. Ethereal Confections has a great look and their staff is so easy to work with.
