The Hampshire House is a classic turn-of-the-century mansion on historic Beacon Hill, where generations of Bostonians and their guests have wined, dined, and danced the night away. Hampshire House offers sweeping views of the Boston Public Garden. This five-story Georgian revival townhouse was lavished with Italian marble, carved oak paneling, crystal chandeliers, and tall Palladian windows. Hampshire House opens its doors for lavish private events - the perfect spot for elegant wedding celebrations. Whether you are dreaming of an intimate champagne brunch or an elaborate evening reception, the Hampshire House will help you design a personalized and unforgettable experience that is all your own.

Third Floor
Intimate gatherings with exceptional views
The third floor rooms provide an intimate setting for your event. With a working marble fireplace along with gorgeous views of the Boston Public Garden, the third floor is the perfect spot for your gathering. When the mansion was built, the third floor served as bedrooms for the Thayer family. The Thayer room, belonging to Mrs. Thayer, was chosen for it's views as she was a member of the Boston Horticultural Society.

The Second Floor Library is the grandest room in our mansion. It is designed with high ceilings, tall windows overlooking Beacon Street and the Boston Public Garden, intricately carved oak paneling with bookshelves, a magnificent working marble fireplace, and a functional baby grand piano. The space allows your guests to experience a true and classic Bostonian venue. This space can accommodate a maximum of 100 guests for a plated meal and up to 150 for a reception style event.

An absolute must!
We absolutely loved our experience at the Hampshire House and received many compliments on how detail oriented they are and in tune with guest (AND couple) experience. Sydney and the entire team are incredibly seasoned and know how to put on an event. One of the key aspects that we loved about Hampshire House is their 'all-in' packages. It was so assuring to know that there was an entire team that knows about the details down to a cake knife vs. having to source and think about everything themselves. A lot of friends expressed that their wedding planning processes were stressful and filled with lots of decisions - and while there is still a ton of room with HH to customize and personalize - they take so much of the guess work off your plate. The food was delicious! The cocktails were to die for. We felt so loved and had truly the time of our lives. We're sad we can't have a wedding at Hampshire House every weekend!

Wedding at the Hampshire House
We couldn't be happier with our overall experience with the Hampshire House. From the initial walkthrough, to our wedding night, every meeting was curated and constructive. We were able to attend a food sampling prior to our menu tasting, which allowed us to introduce the venue to close family. Victoria from the Hampshire House was extremely pleasant to work with. Her detail-oriented communication was extremely helpful as we finalized floor plans, guest lists, and food selection. Victoria was with us from our very first meeting, through the day we walked down the aisle! Thank you for everything you do! You helped create the best day of my life. I couldn't recommend the Hampshire House more to other grooms and bride's to be. The food was incredible, the venue is breathtaking, and the convenience is second to none.

A Perfect, Timeless Wedding Experience
Our wedding at Hampshire House was truly everything we could have dreamed of and more. Stunning Venue and Exceptional Staff
We had the most beautiful wedding at the Hampshire House and truly could not have asked for a better experience. The venue is stunning and in such a perfect location for a Boston Wedding (right across from the Public Garden!). We had 82 guests, and the space felt roomy and completely comfortable for our size. The Hampshire House staff were exceptionally professional and ran such an impressive operation. A huge part of that was thanks to Manager Brittney Wood, who was outstanding from the day we signed our contract through our wedding day nine months later. Having someone like Brittney who was so warm, organized, and so quick to respond to our questions made our planning much less stressful. We are also so grateful for the amazing chefs and kitchen staff at the Hampshire House. The meals were a 10/10 and a massive hit with our guests. Nearly every guest has told us about how exceptional their entree was. Many of the guests started their compliments with, "Look, I've been to many, many weddings and that was the best food I've ever had as a wedding guest." The night before, we also hosted our Welcome Drinks at the Cheers Set Bar, one floor below the venue, which we also highly recommend as well. (which was also coordinated by Brittney, truly the best in the biz!) Cannot thank the Hampshire House enough for helping make our day perfect, The Castors

The most seamless reception in downtown Boston!!
Victoria at Hampshire House helped us organize the absolute perfect wedding reception that we could have hoped for. Everything about the evening was so beautiful! We had a very planned agenda for the evening and the staff were extremely efficient and on top of absolutely everything without us needing to monitor a thing. The food was DELICIOUS, the room was BEAUTIFUL, the cake was GORGEOUS, and our guests loved our ceremony. I could not have imagined a better way to celebrate our wedding reception and we got so much great feedback about Hampshire House from our guests! Thanks to Victoria for being so easy to work with, for accommodating all our requests, for making suggestions when we needed them, for helping us make decisions that helped us stay within our budget, for being very communicative on email and available for calls, and for ensuring that we had a seamless and stress-free evening overall. We picked Hampshire House because all the catering, dining set-up, decorations, cake, music, etc were done in-house and because Victoria seemed very easy and professional to work with, and we truly got so much more than we expected. We are so grateful to have been able to work with Victoria and we HIGHLY recommend the Hampshire House for a truly seamless event planning experience!
