About this venue

Judge Morris Estate is a countryside wedding venue where centuries-old character meets thoughtful contemporary design. Set among 3,600 acres of rolling parkland just outside Newark, Delaware, the estate brings together sweeping lawns, gardens, a historic stone house and wide-open views. Its most distinctive feature gives new life to the preserved ruins of the property’s former barn. A glass Solarium will sit within the original stone walls, creating an airy reception space for up to 275 guests and bringing the surrounding landscape into the celebration. Operated by Jeffrey A. Miller Hospitality Group in partnership with Delaware State Parks, Judge Morris also gives each celebration a way to support the place behind it. A portion of every venue rental goes back to Delaware State Parks, helping preserve the landscapes, historic places and natural spaces across the state. Now booking weddings for Spring 2027 and beyond.

The Solarium

Dancing with the Stars

Set within the original stone barn ruins, the Solarium opens the celebration to the beauty of White Clay Creek State Park. The glass structure stretches across the ruins, preserving the original stone walls while keeping the surrounding acres of parkland in view. Chandeliers fill the space overhead, while illuminated trees create a dramatic scene beyond the glass after dark.
