About this venue
Are you dreaming of a Galena Barn Wedding? Hawk Valley Retreat and the Cording Event Barn make the perfect venue for elopements and intimate weddings. Whether you get married in the barn, the gazebo, or on the grounds, you will be sure to be surrounded by nature’s beauty. Our 10 acres of meadows, ponds, and nature will transport you and your guests. We offer several packages to make the planning a breeze, but if you have something else in mind we love making your day the way that you want it. The Cording Event Barn is newly renovated as of Spring 2022 with stunning views of the grounds, a large outdoor deck, loft space, and a large main floor. Full catering is available. BYOB alcohol is available.

The Cording Event Barn at Hawk Valley Retreat in cottages is a newly renovated space dating back to 1905. Featuring the original timber frame surrounding expansive windows giving a panoramic view of the valley. Reclaimed oak floors, rustic chandeliers, and soaring space make this an ideal venue for rustic elegant weddings. A large outdoor deck and the barn's loft space give lots of options for cocktail hours and places to lounge. Our full catering menu and BYOB option make planning simple.

Elopement Plus Package

While an elopement is often only the couple, sometimes others want to come and celebrate the occasion, especially parents. This package offers the intimacy of an elopement with the ability to include up to four additional people to attend the ceremony be it either friends or family. Wanting to plan something slightly larger than an elopement but less than a full-scale wedding? Our micro-wedding package is perfect for parties of 12 people or less for the day, including the Couple. Two night stay for the wedding couple is also included.

Planning a small wedding or wanting to renew your vows? Let Hawk Valley Retreat be your choice. Rent the entire property for the event. Total booking of the entire property, all 7 rooms (4 cottages and 3 rooms in the house - 14 people maximum), for two nights so no other guests are present. $5,900 plus taxes for the group of up to 14. Additional guests at the wedding are $25 per person, with a total maximum guest count of 40.

We chose Hawk Valley to celebrate our anniversary and cannot say enough good things about it. From the food to the cottage, from the hosts to the grounds, Hawk Valley was everything we hoped it would be. We wanted privacy and peace, good food and good service, and Hawk Valley was all of this and more. John was attentive and responsive as host, and Jim’s food, both at breakfast and with a two meals delivered to our cottage, was phenomenal. We will recommend and return!
