Featuring cathedral ceilings with exposed beams, hardwood floors, grand staircase, and balcony, the Great Room is a picturesque, awe-inspiring space. With a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace and majestic chandeliers, the Great Room is a gorgeous room for dinner and dancing that accommodates 80-100 guests with a dance floor, or 120 guests with the dance floor in the adjoining Bistro.

Our perfect wedding reception!
The Golf Club at South River was the perfect place to host our wedding reception with just under 70 guests. Gina and Emily were fantastic during our planning process, and the entire team made the space beautiful on our special day. We are still hearing from guests about how great the food was, too!! We cannot say enough good things about GCSR and are so happy that we decided to have our reception here. Highly recommend!!

Amazing Wedding!
Emily and Gina went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of so we could celebrate our daughter's wedding with all of our guests. Everyone remarked what a beautiful wedding it was. If you want a fabulous wedding that is stress free, I strongly recommend the Golf Club at South River!

The BEST wedding day!
This will be a long review because I have so many things I need to rave about! My husband and I held our wedding at the Golf Club at South River on March 27, 2026. We chose to have our wedding here after our very first visit, when we initially met with Emily. The club itself was beautiful, with a rustic elegance. I fell in love with the giant windows that let so much natural light in, the big staircase in the Great Room, and of course, having all of the golf course land as a view. Emily was professional and knowledgeable during that visit, and was able to quickly answer my many questions! Between the time we officially booked our wedding and our wedding day, Emily was also so helpful when I emailed her with any questions that popped into my head. With the weather being unpredictable in March in Maryland, we chose to use the Great Room and Cafe for our wedding. On the wedding day, we absolutely loved this space! It was awesome to have the cafe the whole reception not only for the large bar, but also because of the many seating options. Our guests weren't constrained to sitting at their dinner tables whenever they needed a break from the dance floor, but instead were able to mingle and chill in the comfy booths, or sit at the high top tables right by the bar. This ended up being where almost all of our guests spent most of their night, and it was perfect. As a team, Emily and Gina made sure our wedding day went so smoothly, and they frequently checked in to make sure my husband and I had everything we needed (especially food and drinks which was so appreciated). We couldn't have had a better wedding day here, and would highly recommend this venue to anyone!!

We had our wedding at The Golf Club at South River this past Saturday and had the best experience. Gina and Emily were incredible to work with. They were so organized, professional, and accommodating throughout the entire process. On the wedding day, they kept everything running seamlessly and made sure our timeline stayed on track. We unfortunately had an issue with our florists set up, but Gina and Emily immediately stepped in, got creative, and made everything look beautiful. I didn’t even realize anything had gone wrong until after the wedding, which says so much about how on top of everything they were. Our guests are still talking about how it was some of the best food they’ve had at a wedding, and the drinks were flowing all night. The place itself is also absolutely beautiful. We’re so grateful for everything they did and couldn’t recommend them more!

Awesome Wedding Venue
We had our wedding at The Golf Club At South River and couldn't be happier with our choice. Emily and Gina, and the rest of fhe team there, are incredibly knowledgeable and made sure everything ran like clockwork from start to finish. The venue itself is the perfect size for a smaller to moderately sized event, with gorgeous rustic charm and stunning photo spots scattered throughout the grounds and inside. What really impressed us was how prompt and straightforward the staff was—they got things done without any fuss, and everyone we interacted with was genuinely kind and supportive. For the price, you're getting an absolutely beautiful space that doesn't break the bank. We'd absolutely recommend The Golf Club At South River to any couple looking for a no-stress, elegant celebration. Our wedding dreams came to life at this spot and we will be forever grateful.
