About TWJ Films

TWJ Films

Founder & Lead Videographer

TWJ Films is a NY/NJ wedding videography studio dedicated to creating cinematic, emotionally honest films that allow couples to relive their wedding day for years to come. We approach every celebration with a calm, unobtrusive presence, capturing both the defining moments and the small, unscripted interactions that make each wedding personal. Our films combine refined cinematography, natural storytelling, and carefully selected music to preserve how it truly felt. Every film is crafted to reflect the people, atmosphere, and emotions that made the day uniquely yours.

The balance between cinematic artistry and genuine storytelling is our focus. Rather than turning your wedding into a production, we provide thoughtful direction when it is helpful and step back when real moments are unfolding. We focus on beautiful composition, clear audio, natural movement, and the meaningful details that can easily go unnoticed in the moment. The result is a polished, timeless wedding film that feels elevated without feeling staged—and personal rather than formulaic.

    Thomas was incredible!

Working with TWJ Films was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Thomas communicates clearly throughout the entire process, making sure you feel informed and confident every step of the way. What really sets him apart is his professionalism and genuine kindness. He approaches each wedding with the care and respect it deserves. His energy on the day of filming is contagious, and that enthusiasm translates beautifully into the final product. The video captures the wedding moments with such authenticity and artistry. If you're looking for a videographer who combines technical skill with heart, TWJ Films is the right choice.

Absolutely. TWJ Films is based in the New York/New Jersey area, but we’re always excited to travel for a great story. Whether your wedding is across the country or across the world, reach out with the details and we can create a custom proposal that includes any necessary travel.
Yes! We love intimate weddings and elopements. Smaller celebrations often give us even more freedom to focus on the couple, the setting, and all of the little unscripted moments that make the day feel personal. Coverage can be customized based on the size and timeline of your celebration.
We recommend reaching out as soon as you have your date and venue secured. Many couples book us 6-18 months in advance, particularly for popular spring and fall dates. That said, we occasionally have last-minute availability, so it’s always worth reaching out!
Yes. TWJ Films is fully insured, and we can provide your venue with proof of insurance or a Certificate of Insurance if requested.
Your wedding film is edited by TWJ Films, not handed off to a large anonymous editing company. The same creative vision that goes into filming your wedding carries through the entire editing process—from selecting the moments and music to pacing, storytelling, sound design, and color grading. This consistency is a huge part of what gives our films their distinctive style.
We’re happy to offer a same-day edit for an additional fee. After your ceremony, one of your videographers will work with an editor on set to put together your same-day edit. We’ll make sure the final video is done in time for your reception.
For most full wedding days, two videographers is our recommendation. Having two filmmakers allows us to capture multiple perspectives simultaneously—such as both partners getting ready, both reactions during the ceremony, and more candid moments throughout the day—without making the production feel intrusive. For smaller events, intimate celebrations, or simpler timelines, one videographer can sometimes be plenty. We’ll recommend the right amount of coverage based on your specific wedding.
