““How did you FIND this place?!” We heard this from our guests all night long. It felt like we’d discovered a secret garden, and everyone was desperate to know the story behind it. We got married at Black Walnut Farm in the fall of 2024. It was the first venue we visited, and we knew it was "the one" the moment we stepped out of the car—even before seeing the full extent of the work that has since gone into it. Owners Sarah and Jim have created something truly special; you can feel the heart and soul they’ve poured into the property while beautifully maintaining its historical integrity and charm. Getting to witness the venue’s progression in the months leading up to our wedding made us appreciate the sheer passion and hard work they pour into every detail. Sarah and Jim's support made all the difference. Because of the diligence they showed throughout our planning process, we felt entirely at ease when the big day finally arrived. We knew we were in excellent hands. If you’re on the fence about the full weekend package: do it. Beyond allowing us to feel completely at home, it gave us the space to host welcome drinks on the grounds as a “sneak peek” for our guests, while keeping the ceremony site and the barn under wraps for a big reveal the next day. The day after our wedding, we had the whole place to ourselves when our loved ones left and we wandered the enchanting grounds with our dog, basking in the warmth of all the love and joy we felt. Black Walnut Farm is a unique, deeply human venue. We couldn't have picked a better place to start our lives together.”

“We had a wonderful wedding at The Garrison in August in 2024- from the minute we saw this breathtaking venue, we knew it was a special place where we could see ourselves spending one of the most important days of our life. I immediately got in touch with Bridget, who from day one was super accessible, transparent, kind and willing to work with us. Bridget walked us through the entire planning process, from a tasting where we were made to feel super special by the wonderful Fatima (who ended up being our day of attendant and was AWESOME) to every last detail of our special day. The venue itself is gorgeous, the sunset over the mountains, the floor to ceiling windows, the beautifully maintained grounds - our guests were in AWE. The staff was wonderful, they made sure to treat our wedding party extra special and gave great service to our guests. My morning getting ready in the bridal suite was peaceful and easy and Bridget and Fatima kept things on task. We knew our day was in great hands with Bridget and the team at The Garrison and we can't thank them enough for making our wedding such a memorable and beautiful day.”

“My husband and I had our wedding at Blenheim Hill Farm this past weekend 10/26/2024 and it was an absolute dream. Not only was it the dreamiest wedding because we got married in front of all of the people we love, but because of the absolutely beautiful venue and the team that brought it to life. Morten & Min, the owners were so helpful, kind and just the brightest lights from the moment we met them when we toured the venue through the planning phase and our wedding day. They clearly have a very buttoned up and efficient process, which showed the day of. Now let me talk about the rest of staff … they are AMAZING. We worked with Lawrence and Rosie the weeks leading up to our wedding and the day of and not only did they go above and beyond at their jobs, they truly seemed so happy to be there. There were a number of other team members behind the scenes that helped bring together a seamless wedding (we barely even noticed them - in a good way!) so thank you to the team. This includes the chefs cooking it up in the kitchen, while we didn’t see you … we were told by friends and family how delicious the food was / it was the best wedding food they ever had. The risotto…. Oh my was it delicious!! Another amazing benefit of Blenheim Hill Farm was their recommended babysitter, Victoria - she watched 5 of the kids who attended ceremony but not reception right on the grounds. She made arts and crafts and carved pumpkins with them! The parents and kids were very happy with her. Lastly, all we have to say is….. GET MARRIED HERE!!!!”

“We loved our wedding at ElmRock Inn! The venue is gorgeous and I had the time of my life. Staying onsite was amazing. I highly recommend ElmRock. The chef is fantastic and we will remember our wedding fondly for the rest of our lives. There were a few negatives during our stay, but we are still very glad that we got married at ElmRock. The first negative was that the water in the BnB and carriage house (where bride/groom stayed) kept running out at night. This was pretty annoying, but not a huge issue since the water was usually fine by morning. Second, the venue coordinator was pretty rude throughout the weekend and especially to my family. Many people at the wedding commented about how rude she was (and the fact that she wore white pants to our wedding!). The rest of the staff was nicer, though a couple of the servers were also rude, just not as bad. I expected the staff to be more accommodating and welcoming the entire weekend, but it really felt more like we were getting scolded at times. Lastly, they served my wedding cake really cold and had clearly forgotten to take it out of the fridge to get to room temperature before serving. That was quite frustrating, especially since I heard them talking about how I (the bride) needed to hurry up to start the cake cutting while I was changing, but the cake wasn't even ready! Overall, the venue is gorgeous and we had a lovely time. I think the experience would be improved by some updating to their plumbing and getting a coordinator that's nicer to their customers. The food was AMAZING and the chef is fantastic, just be warned if you're sensitive to people who can be rude/unaccommodating.”

“My team and I have had the great pleasure of working at Full Moon Resort since 2011! This resort is such an outstanding venue for weddings and events! As a wedding professional myself, I have always had such a sense of ease working here. Their staff has always been helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable, and they continue to offer this consistency year after year. I am never left worrying about who may or may not be working at each event that we are a part of. So many venues have a constant revolving door of employees, it can be very stressful not only for couples getting married when that happens, but also for the vendors. There is never any of that stress at this venue. In addition to the highly experienced staff who work here, the venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, climate-controlled, with clean and spacious restrooms, and kept immaculately clean, which is impressive when many area venues are more rustic. I also always appreciate that there is a solid ceremony plan in place, no matter what the weather decides to do. As a florist, I really like the fact that this venue is a total "blank slate," so when it comes to wedding decor, couples are never limited with their design selections. This venue also has stunning grounds for some of the prettiest wedding photos! Seriously, even off-peak times of the year such as March and April are still stunning here, with their beautiful birch trees, and moss and lichen-covered rocks. If you are a couple looking for an ideal wedding venue, look no further than Full Moon Resort! P.S. Photo Courtesy of https://perennialimage.com/”

“Choosing to have our wedding at Camp Timber Lake was probably the single most important decision we made during the planning process. The camp setting gave us the opportunity to create something far more immersive, personal, and joyful than we had imagined, and the camp / Gatheround staff and everyone involved in the planning process gave us the ability to execute on making all our dreams come true! In the months leading up to the wedding, we worked closely with Will, who was incredibly friendly, responsive, and on top of every detail. He always made time to talk through our many questions and helped accommodate some of our more unconventional requests—from having Camp Timber Lake cater our Sunday reception dinner (which we highly recommend!) to brainstorming the best locations for a nighttime game of kick the can. The camp itself is absolutely beautiful and was perfectly manicured for our arrival. There were endless activities for our guests to enjoy, and the staff placed sports equipment throughout the property so everyone could immediately jump into whatever interested them. Our guests had so much fun exploring the grounds, tossing frisbees and footballs, shooting hoops, and making the camp their own for the weekend. The staff including Reggie, Scott, Liz, Willow, Marcie, and so many others, were AMAZING. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making the weekend special. Scott and Liz stayed on top of every detail, and the entire team continually went above and beyond to make our guests feel welcome and cared for. When one of our guests lost her phone in the dining hall after hours, the team turned the lights back on and helped her search for it. After she mentioned that she was having trouble turning on the heat in her cabin, they walked over to help, then returned 15 minutes later with brownies and ice cream for her and her cabin-mates as a nice surprise. Another favorite moment happened on the dance floor Saturday night. We had brought bubble guns but realized too late that they required batteries we didn’t have. We’d given up on using them, but when Willow (one of the camp staff) overheard a friend say, “I wish we had batteries for these bubble guns.” he went and tracked down batteries from TV remotes around the camp on his own accord and got the bubble guns working. They ended up being a huge hit! Moments like these, and so many others, made us feel completely at home and made our guests feel incredibly well cared for. The food was also outstanding. We received rave reviews about every meal. The team went out of its way to accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions, providing hearty vegan and vegetarian options at every meal. They even prepared a special plate every meal for my mom, who has an autoimmune disorder that prevents her from eating most spices. The team also decorated dishes with edible flowers and made everything look beautiful. For our reception dinner on the final night, they even came up with the idea of displaying leftover Boy Scout patches from one of our weekend activities along the buffet counter. It was the perfect thoughtful touch. We had multiple guests tell us that this was their favorite wedding they had ever attended, and Camp Timber Lake (and the wonderful people who run it) were a huge reason why. Thank you for giving us and our guests such a magical, joyful, and unforgettable weekend. It truly was the best weekend of our lives! Can’t recommend this wedding venue enough!”

“Fortune Valley Manor was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the beginning, the team's communication was detailed, fast, and extremely organized. The gorgeous barn and property were exactly what we were looking for to blend our Tamil Brahmin (Hindu) wedding traditions with an Upstate New York barn feel. The wedding planning process was thorough, and Kerri and her team made sure our special day went smoothly, even studying our customs ahead of time. While wedding planning can be overwhelming at times, Fortune Valley Manor exceeded all of our needs and expectations to make our dream wedding a reality.”

“My husband and I hosted our Friday night welcome party at The Mod House during our wedding weekend last summer, and it was one of the most memorable parts of the entire celebration. We were looking for something different from a traditional welcome party—a place with great music, delicious food, plenty of room to mingle, and an atmosphere that encouraged people to relax, dance, and have fun. We envisioned a groovy 1970s-style house party, and The Mod House was absolutely perfect. The mid-century modern home is incredibly unique, with beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, multiple bars, and an amazing speakeasy-style basement that created the perfect setting for the evening. Nick was fantastic to work with from start to finish. As someone who curates private music events throughout the year, he had excellent recommendations for bands and DJs and helped us create exactly the vibe we were hoping for. Based on his suggestions, we hired a DJ to play outside while guests enjoyed cocktails at his newly built outdoor bar and pizza from a food truck. Later in the evening, everyone moved downstairs to the speakeasy, where a local funk band performed and had the entire room dancing. Nick also helped us curate our drink menu and coordinated bartenders, making the planning process seamless. Every detail came together beautifully, and our guests are still talking about how much fun they had. Many told us it was one of the best welcome parties they had ever attended and such a refreshing alternative to the typical wedding weekend event. If you're looking for a venue with incredible character, great energy, and an unforgettable atmosphere, The Mod House is truly special. We couldn't have imagined a better place to kick off our wedding weekend.”

“I cannot recommend this venue more! Not only is it beautiful on the inside but Bryce and Courtney who help run the show put in so much time, effort, and energy into making it the best day you could imagine! After our initial meeting with Bryce it was a no-brainer to go with Novella’s. They were the only venue that said yes to all of our requests and let us make the wedding more catered to us as a couple (DIY stirrers, signage, centerpieces, etc.). They only do 1 wedding a day so you are their main focus for the duration of your day. He will answer your emails, texts, and set up meetings with you if you ask! He also added some ideas we wouldn’t have thought of and walked us through the timeline and process with our goals in mind. Our family/friend’s raved about the food during cocktail hour and dinner. Good portions and great quality! As the bride, I felt they ran a tight ship with no hiccups in sight and were easy to find if I had any questions. My guests said it was a true hidden gem that they didn’t know about but loved! They also have a deal with the local Pastry Garden to give you a custom cake included in the venue cost! The venue is within walking feet of a local hotel who are fabulous to work with and Bryce also let us use the outdoor patio for an amazing after party! Truly just good people to work with and SO easy to trust!”

“We had the most amazing time at Diamond Mills Hotel! The venue is BEAUTIFUL, and the staff is wonderful to work with. My husband and I also loved exploring Saugerties! Planning a wedding in two months was challenging, but booking Diamond Mills for our wedding venue was the best decision ever! We loved working with Stephanie, Carrie, and Brianne. They are highly organized and professional. Our wedding day was truly magical! Our guests had a wonderful time! We also really appreciate how the staff working on the day of our wedding ensured that my husband and I ate well (and remembered to eat as we interacted with our guests). The food served was delicious and we loved our wedding cake! Another great thing about booking the wedding at Diamond Mills is that the hotel is attached to the wedding venue - it was very convenient for us and our guests! We received a good discount for our hotel block. The wedding package they offer at Diamond Mills Hotel is truly well-rounded! Beautiful venue with indoor and outdoor spaces, catering, open bar, wedding cake, and supportive and amazing staff to help you plan your wedding and ensure that everything runs smoothly during the day of the wedding all for a reasonable price! I used some rental decorations, and the staff made sure to carefully pack everything at the end of the night, so shipping and packing up the following day was easy! We highly recommend Diamond Mills!”

Tim the Banquet manager was always around ready to make sure it all ran smoothly. Ryan the lift operations manager kept Brittany updated on the weather day of and when it didn’t look good at the bottom he drove up to make sure he truly had say no to us going to the summit (it was 30 degrees with 45 kt winds) he and his crew opened the lift for 2 hours the next day so we could still get our summit pictures and they all had smiles on their faces. “Where do we even begin? My husband Junior has not stopped saying since our wedding day that it was the best day of his life—and I couldn’t agree more. Our celebration at The Wedding Foundry at Liberty View Farm was beyond anything we could’ve dreamed. We are eternally grateful for the care, heart, and effort that went into creating a day so unforgettable—truly a memory etched in time. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away—not only by the stunning setup, but by the team behind it all. Every member of the staff was exceptional, working seamlessly to ensure everything ran like clockwork. Billiam, Erica, Magic Cathy (yes, she really is magic!), Iván, and Juan—what a powerhouse of a team. You can tell this isn’t just a job for them; it’s a calling, and it shows in every thoughtful detail. One of the promises this venue makes is that you’ll be able to fully immerse yourself in the joy of your wedding without worrying about logistics—and let me tell you, they deliver. Every element was handled with care and professionalism, allowing us to focus entirely on celebrating our love and being present with our guests. Their collaborative spirit and meticulous attention to detail left nothing to chance. The venue itself is nothing short of enchanting. Nestled in a landscape bursting with vibrant botanicals, it offers a setting so breathtaking that it feels like something out of a dream. And then there are the florals—oh, the florals—brought to life by the incredibly talented Iván Torres Vega. Photos alone don’t do justice to his work; in person, it felt like walking through a fairy tale. And beyond his artistry, Iván’s generosity shone through—when my mom’s dress wouldn’t stay up, he literally stepped in and tailored it on the spot. Who does that? Absolutely magical. We’re still floating on cloud nine, and much of that joy is thanks to Erica of Clean Plate Pictures, whose vision and presence put me at ease (especially as someone more used to being behind the camera). Her team captured every precious moment so effortlessly—it all felt natural, never forced. We just got our teaser photos back, and if those are just the previews, we can only imagine how breathtaking the full gallery will be. And let’s talk about the food. As a group of serious foodies, our guests were thrilled—and still talking—about the menu crafted by the extraordinary Juan Romero. We opted for the upgraded, customized selections, and wow… Chimichurri steak, Mediterranean lamb meatballs, tacos al pastor, smashies and more. Every bite was next-level delicious. We also highly recommend upgrading to include the flower bar—such a creative, memorable way to send your guests home with something special—and booking the extra hour on the farm. Also: don’t sleep on the silent disco package! It was the ultimate grand finale. Most of our guests had never experienced one before, and it turned out to be a massive hit. I can’t wait to see our video footage and relive every electric, joy-filled moment. Billiam, thank you for welcoming us to your slice of paradise and helping us create something truly magical. You and your team didn’t just host our wedding—you gave us a story we’ll be telling for the rest of our lives. With deep gratitude, Kayla & Mizraim Batista”

“We were so lucky to celebrate our wedding at A Private Estate, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. When we were searching for a venue, we visited A Private Estate in the depth of winter during a snowstorm, but even then, we immediately knew it was the perfect place for us. Ripley, the owner, was friendly and direct, and it was clear she genuinely cared about making sure people had an amazing experience. The property was beautifully maintained, and the convenience of having the Carriage House accommodation along with the barn for the reception made it a much better value than most other venues we considered. We chose to have our ceremony outside, overlooking the Hudson River, which created a breathtaking and peaceful setting for our vows. The manor house made for a stunning backdrop for our family photos, adding a touch of elegance to the day. We held our reception in the barn, which we highly recommend to other couples. The rustic charm of the space, combined with the elegance of the estate, created the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. Our mid-August wedding was made even more memorable by the beauty and ambiance of the setting. The property manager, Jack, went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. Not only did he assist us with practical matters, like putting up blinds in the Carriage House to help our family members' kids sleep, but he also saved the day when a special bottle of wine we had intended to keep was accidentally thrown out by the caterers. Jack took it upon himself to dig it up and return it to us—an act of kindness we won’t forget. We are incredibly grateful for the hospitality and attention to detail from both Jack and Ripley. If you're looking for a venue that combines beauty with exceptional service, we wholeheartedly recommend A Private Estate.”

“I cannot fully capture the magic of Spillian in words. There is a feeling there that just cannot be described. It glimmers and sparkles with history, magic, and warmth. We had our wedding weekend there 11/22-11/24 and when I say it was perfect, I mean it. The rehearsal dinner taco bar was spectacular and so much fun. The wedding ceremony outside in the snow was epic, and the dinner was superb. You get to pick your own menu - like, WHATEVER you want! People raved about the food. We had about 85 people and the tables all set up inside looked gorgeous and it was totally roomy. The main room transformed into a dance floor made it feel like we were partying in the house from Clue or Haunted Mansion. The owners and staff are incredible. They won’t just help you plan your wedding - they’ll become your friends. They not only attended to every detail we cared about, they also took the time to really honor the emotions and history behind our wedding and marriage. I wish we could do it all over again. It was epic and magical and truly perfect. I am so glad we can return for their weekend events!”
