“Lauren jumped in to save my wedding at the last minute and was a hero the whole time! The vendor we had originally planned to use for our mothers and the wedding party's hair & makeup raised all of their prices on us at the last minute and Lauren agreed to price match. She was kind and helpful every step of the way, going with the flow, adjusting timing as needed, and providing a sense of calm in the getting ready room. Somebody asked to borrow a diffuser and she was happy to provide without charging any extra. I needed a lipstick touchup after my artist had left and she was happy to assist. We found out day of that our wedding date was her birthday and she had still agreed to work with us, celebrate us, and match the prices we needed that day! She was kind, supportive, generous, and very good at what she did all day long and we're so grateful to have found her for our special day!”

“Cindy was absolutely lovely to work with. From our first interactions over email, she was responsive, friendly, and just really kind! I am not a big make-up person and was very concerned that traditional "wedding" make-up would transform me and make me not look like myself. These worries immediately went away after my make-up trial (included in the price). Cindy listened and understood what I envisioned and was super flexible to change things up until I was comfortable. When I showed my bridal party pictures from my trial, they all said, "that's exactly how I want to look on your wedding." They used CINDY'S work as their inspiration pics. Everyone was so pleased by their looks (we are all very minimalistic, soft glam gals) and was raving all day about how good she was! Our make-up stayed put all night and I did not need to touch it up once. I highly recommend Cindy - she was kind, easy to work with, friendly, and is just really good at her job! I included a few pics of me and my bridemaids (not professional photos so not touched up at all!)”

Christine was able to help answer any questions and made suggestions for me and my skincare routine during my trial run for the makeup. Because of her suggestions, I ended up with a healthy glow on my skin and less wrinkles so I didn't have to wear concealer at all for my wedding! I was thrilled about that since I wanted to have my freckles still show through and have a more natural look for the pictures. Even my husband, who prefers when I don't wear makeup, said I looked like me while highlighting my best features. Not only that but her skincare recommendations are something I've continued since then. “Shimmer for You was great to work with! I did a trial with Jaime a few months ahead of time, and then adjusted things as needed day of. Jaime and her team did hair and makeup for me, 5 bridesmaids, and 2 moms. Everything went smoothly, and we were done on time. My hair looked bigger than I wanted day of, and we had enough time for Jaime to adjust it so it looked exactly how I wanted. I had worried that wedding makeup and lashes would look to heavy on me since I don’t usually wear much makeup (and I saw some full glam photos on the Zola profile), but the soft look Jaime did for me was perfect- I still looked like myself, but shimmery. I was also worried about foundation and lip colors looking too orange or yellow on me since I’m very fair with cool/pink undertones, but the color match was perfect, and we tried out a few lip colors at the trial to get it perfect. The moms and bridesmaids love their hair and makeup too! I absolutely recommend Shimmer for You!”

“I hired Kelsey for my November 2024 wedding and she and her team exceeded my expectations. I honestly can't stop thinking about how good my hair and makeup looked the day of my wedding. I was admittedly nervous scheduling my trial because I realized the salon is not in Philly, but in Quakertown, which was about an hour drive. However, when I met Kelsey, I was reminded of why I booked in the first place - her personality is so warm and welcoming, funny, and puts you at ease immediately. I had the same exact reaction the morning of my wedding. I received hair and makeup services and my bridesmaids and MOB/MOG had their hair styled by Kelsey's associate. I thought everyone looked gorgeous and as this was one of the more expensive vendors I paid for myself, I did feel like my money was well spent. If you like full, full coverage with heavy foundation, etc I don't think this is the vendor for you. However, I think what Kelsey did with my makeup was even better because it looked so natural, but still looked like I was wearing the right amount of makeup. On top of my hair and makeup already looking perfect in my opinion, it happened to be snowing/freezing rain the day of my wedding and all of our photos were taken outside. My makeup did not budge! They were very professional, listened to what everyone wanted, and made the process very smooth. We had one hair stylist and one makeup artist for about 7 people (including bride), and they finished right on time! I appreciated that my curls lasted throughout the whole event. Also, they pinned my hair perfectly for us to clip in the veil and for it not to make my hair fall out. Great job!”
