The Flower Dude
Rating: 5.0 (27 reviews)

  • Starts at $1,000
  • Serves Gray, ME

I'm Don Clark. I run The Flower Dude, a studio wedding florist in Portland, Maine. Studio means no retail shop, and that's the point. Instead of a cooler full of roses that flew up from Miami last week, I work from three gardens in Cape Elizabeth and Kennebunk — so from June through late September, your flowers are cut the morning you get married. I arrange everything myself, then deliver and set it up: bouquets, boutonnieres, arches, reception tables, all of it. Personal and personalized.

“Don did an AMAZING job with our flowers for our wedding! He listened to all of our wants, needs, and inspirations, and brought our vision to life. We had a beautiful arch of greens for the ceremony with white flower accents, and calla lilies were peppered throughout the wedding and used for wedding party bouquets and boutonnieres. There is nothing Don and The Flower Spot can't do!! You'd be remiss if you didn't choose them for your special event.”

“Tess is an unbelievable florist and artist. She completely executed my vision for our wedding day and went above and beyond my expectations! She was extremely thorough to work with, making sure she knew exactly what I wanted in terms of style she worked on so many different floral versions for me throughout the planning process until we got to the one we thought was best for the space. Our arbor was absolutely incredible, way beyond what I imagined it would be. My bouquet tied in every aspect I had talked about with her and even more! I truly cannot suggest Tess enough, hire her!!”

Milkweed Floral Co.
Rating: 5.0 (4 reviews)
  • Serves Gray, ME

Hi! I’m Iris, the mind, body, and soul behind Milkweed! As a lot of dad’s like to joke, my name must be a birthright into floristry. In all honesty, it really has been a constant thread throughout my life. From picking flowers in my mom’s garden, to working in a flower shop in Boston right after college, then tackling florals for my own wedding in 2021, and eventually freelancing for event florists around Maine - I fell head over heels for wedding florals!

Awarded Best of Zola
“Iris at Milkweed Design Co exceeded every expectation I had for my wedding in 2023! I love flowers and wanted a lot all over the venue, but I didn't specify know which ones I wanted. Iris created the perfect design that I was imagining but couldn't put into words myself. She suggested and constructed an elaborate show stopping floral installation on a tree welcoming guests to the venue and offering an unique backdrop for photos! The colors, textures, and attention to detail were perfection! Each arrangement completely transformed the space into something magical. It was clear how much care, creativity, and passion went into every aspect of Iris' work. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the flowers at the time, and to this day, it's the one thing everyone still brings up! If you’re looking for someone incredibly talented, hard-working, and thoughtful—someone who truly cares about her craft and the clients who trust her with one of the most important days of their lives—look no further!”

“Working with Elegant Blooms was a game-changer for our wedding day. From our first conversation, the team was responsive and professional, making the whole planning process smooth and stress-free. They nailed every detail. Our bouquets were lush and perfectly matched our color scheme, but the real showstopper was the floral arch. Guests couldn't stop talking about it and several people asked for their contact information before we even left the reception. What impressed us most was how flexible they were when we needed to make a last-minute change, and their setup was flawless. Elegant Blooms didn't just provide flowers; they created the magical atmosphere we'd envisioned for our ceremony. We couldn't have asked for better.”

The second box with the rest of the order was coming from a different location and UPS made a mistake with our address. If made me so nervous and I thought we are not going to have time to put flowers together but luis stepped in and resolved this situation very professionally. We got our flowers the same day and I can’t thank him enough for acting quickly and being incredibly helpful all they way. All of the flowers that came in looked great. The Flower Spot

  • Serves Gray, ME

The Flower Spot is a small floral studio in Richmond, Maine, owned and designed by Anne Clark. We work from the ground floor of a circa-1854 house on the Kennebec River — the same house that hosts intimate weddings out back. Anne designs every wedding herself. No account manager, no template package menu, no upsell script. You tell her what you love — a color, a photo, your grandmother's garden — and she builds outward from there. Bouquets, boutonnieres, ceremony arches, aisle florals, centerpieces, cake flowers, and installations. Whether it's one bouquet or every table in the room, the care is exactly the same.

“I Loved all of the floral arrangements. Just what I wanted. They did outstanding with communications, details, everything. I loved everything. Thank you for everything!! Highly recommend! Got many reviews/comments from the guests”

Blue Dahlia Wooden Florals, LLC
Rating: 5.0 (16 reviews)

My business started when I was planning my own wedding. I love flowers, but we couldn't justify spending hundreds or thousands on real flowers to throw them away in a week when we also found out we were expecting our first child at the same time. In came wood flowers! After much practice, I discovered I have an eye for colors and floral design and now 4 years and MANY weddings and THOUSANDS of home decor pieces later, this is not only my passion but it is also my full time business. No side hustle here! You will have my undivided attention. I'll make sure your floral dreams come to life in wood and the best part, they LAST FOREVER!

Awarded Best of Zola
“I would highly recommend using Blue Dahlia Designs for flower arrangements. She did my daughter’s flowers for her wedding. Katie did such a awesome job with colors and different flowers. They were beautiful. No realized they were wooden til we told them. We are still enjoying the flowers 6 month after the wedding. I also had a Breast cancer arrangement made for my good friend after having her surgery. Both my friend and I have asthma. We can’t enjoy fresh flowers due to our asthma. My friend had tears in her eyes when I delivered the arrangement. She has not had flowers in her home. Now she enjoy without having an asthma attack. Katie was so easy to work with to create beautiful arrangements.”

“Abby was WONDERFUL to work with for my bridal shower flowers! Her communication was responsive, prompt, professional and friendly. I gave her a list of some flowers and colors that I love, and she included every single one. Abby recommended the shape and size of the arrangements that would best match the tables at my venue, and they were perfect.
