“When we booked our venue, one of the requirements was hiring a month-of/day-of wedding coordinator. I'll be honest I remember thinking, "I don't really need one. I'm organized and can handle everything myself." Looking back now... I couldn't have been more wrong.
Hiring Mari was, without question, one of the best decisions we made throughout our entire wedding planning process.
I was referred to Mari by our caterer, Brian with Dade County Food Group, and from our very first phone conversation, I knew she was someone special. Her energy, kindness, professionalism, and genuine excitement immediately put me at ease. We clicked instantly, and from that moment on, I knew I was in good hands.
Although I hired Mari as our month-of/day-of coordinator, she became so much more than that. She was a planner, organizer, problem solver, sounding board, therapist, cheerleader, and ultimately someone who became such an important part of one of the biggest days of our lives.
Throughout the months leading up to our wedding, Mari spent countless hours helping us. We had numerous phone calls and meetings, coordinated conference calls with our vendors, created incredibly detailed timelines, and kept every detail organized through her planning portal. Every vendor had its own section, every detail had a place, and nothing was ever overlooked.
She also helped connect us with amazing vendors, including our videographer, assisted with rentals for our welcome party, and gave us so many wonderful ideas. Even when I was dealing with stressful family situations, Mari was there to offer advice, reassurance, and support far beyond what anyone would ever expect from a wedding coordinator.
A few days before our wedding in the Florida Keys, Mari met us at the venue for a detailed walkthrough and graciously accommodated holding our rehearsal two days before the wedding instead of the evening before. That allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our welcome party with family and friends.
Then came the wedding day.
Everything was absolutely seamless.
I'm sure little challenges came up throughout the day, but if they did, I never knew about them because Mari handled every detail before it ever reached us. Even with the wind trying to interfere, she worked her magic to make sure everything looked beautiful and stayed on schedule.
Watching her work was incredible. She was constantly communicating with vendors, checking timelines, and making sure everything was exactly as it should be.
The greatest gift Mari gave us was peace of mind. Because of her, Joey and I were able to be fully present and enjoy every single moment of our wedding day instead of worrying about logistics. That is truly priceless.
Beyond everything she accomplished professionally, Mari is simply one of the kindest, most genuine people I've ever met. You can tell she truly loves what she does, and that passion shines through in every interaction. After the wedding, I didn't miss wedding planning at ALL but I genuinely missed talking to Mari. That's how much of an impact she had on me.
If you're considering hiring Mari for your wedding or any special event, don't hesitate for a second. She is worth every penny and then some. I truly believe our wedding would not have been the incredible, seamless, joyful day that it was without her.
