“Rachel was amazing to work with and extremely talented. She spent so much time speaking with my husband and I about exactly what we wanted. We sent her inspiration photos and she really brought our vision to life - and then some! The arrangements were more beautiful than I could have imagined. The wedding that happened after our send off brunch wanted to take our arrangements for their wedding!! Others at the resort walked by and asked to take photos. Our florals were one of the most talked about features of our wedding by our guests and we owe it all to FlowerWorks! Rachel was early and quick with set up. We had absolutely no issues working with her, it was a beyond pleasant experience and I keep trying to find a reason to hire her again!!”

The Flowr Studio
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
  • Starts at $2,000
  • Serves Milldale, CT

Hi, I’m Josslyn, founder and lead designer of The Flowr Studio, a Connecticut-based and Latina-owned floral design studio rooted in artful and intentional design. I’ve always been drawn to the way flowers can completely transform a space. My approach to design is inspired by nature itself, with an emphasis on movement, color, texture, and letting each flower do what it was created to do. Our name, The Flowr Studio, comes from the idea of flow state, that immersive place of focus where time just seems to kind of disappear. I find that same peace and presence when I design, letting flowers guide me as I shape each piece with care.

Awarded Best of Zola
“Working with Joslyn from The Flowr Studio was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From our very first conversation, her communication was exceptional, she was responsive, thoughtful, and incredibly organized. She truly listened to what I envisioned and somehow managed to bring it to life even better than I could have imagined. One thing I especially appreciated was that she created a custom inspiration lookbook for us early in the process. It was such a helpful and thoughtful way to ensure we were completely aligned on the vision, style, color palette, and overall feel before the big day. Seeing everything come together visually gave me so much confidence that we were on the same page. Her understanding of my style and vision was spot on, and the flowers were absolutely stunning. Every arrangement felt intentional, beautiful, and perfectly suited to our day. The execution on the wedding day was flawless, and everything was delivered exactly as promised. What really sets her apart is the personal touch she brings to her work. When she delivered my bouquets to the hotel, she included a handwritten card that was so thoughtful and meaningful during such an emotional and exciting moment. Then, a month after the wedding, she reached out again to congratulate us and check in, a gesture that speaks volumes about how much she genuinely cares about her couples. Not only is she incredibly talented, but she is also kind, professional, and invested in making your wedding day special. I cannot recommend her highly enough and would choose her again in a heartbeat.”

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

“Fountainhead Floral Design was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. Their communication style was clear, concise, and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. The quality of their work was simply amazing - the bridesmaids bouquets they created for us last minute were absolutely beautiful and perfect, and the centerpieces they designed were breathtaking. I had reached out to them in a panic less than a week before the wedding because my box of DIY bouquets got delayed, and they were able to step in and make the most stunning bridesmaids bouquets with barely any notice. Fountainhead Floral Design truly went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day was perfect, and we are so grateful for their incredible service and beautiful work.”

The Faux Bouquets
Rating: 5.0 (44 reviews)
  • Serves Milldale, CT

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
“I had the absolute best experience with The Faux Bouquets. The flowers were absolutely stunning for my wedding. The owner, Brittany, was so kind and even called me to make sure my wedding wouldn't be affected by Hurricane Helene. Thankfully, my area was not affected, but I just really felt that was a special kindness that needs to be called out. But again, the quality of the bouquets, micro sprays and greenery was so great and photographed so well! And all at a fraction of the cost of real flowers that would have just been thrown away at the end of the night! The delivery and return process couldn't have been simpler! And I loved my husband and I got to customize and keep my bouquet and his boutonniere during a promotional add-on! Thank you again, Brittany and The Faux Bouquets, for helping make our wedding so beautiful!”

“I was so grateful to have found Jen while going through our flower-picking-process. We got a quote for real flowers to start and it was way out of our budget. When we started looking for 'fake' flowers, I knew I wanted them to look as real as possible. I must have looked at 10 different vendors across CT and MA, and as soon as I saw Wood & Word Blooms website I was sold! Her bouquets are one of a kind, each and every piece was perfect for our wedding. She was so supportive and helpful in the color picking process, I changed my mind a few times but she never batted an eye. She got us to the finish line and we couldn't be happier. If you're on the fence, just go with Jen!”

She found the most beautiful ways to repurpose old vases, barrels, pots, and more into the arrangements, which made everything feel so personal and meaningful. Tracy was such a joy to work with. “Lindsay was so amazing to work with! We hired her to do the flowers for our very small wedding, and the flowers were pretty much our only decor. Everything turned out so stunning. I only showed her a couple of inspiration/general ideas, and mostly told her that we just wanted bright seasonal (August) flowers, and to go ahead and do whatever she thought was best. We didn't have a set color palette since we didn't have a wedding party, so she really could choose whatever she wanted. This was the best decision I could have made because everything was even more beautiful than I could have imagined! Trust me, if you're not a picky bride, ask Lindsay to surprise you and you won't be disappointed!”
