“From the start, I had a very specific vision for my wedding day that I planned myself. I was a DIY decor bride, with particular taste. Throughout the wedding planning process, I realized that on the day of my wedding trying to navigate having a separate ceremony and reception location, there was no way I was going to be able to do it all myself. I met with many Massachusetts wedding planners and day of coordinators and absolutely no one is as dedicated to their couples as Shelby. From the time we hired Shelby for “month of” planning support, she was our biggest cheerleader and accountability partner. Shelby never thought we were “too much” and went out of her way to ask detailed questions about what our vision for our big day was. There is no job the day of the wedding that Shelby can’t handle. Because of Shelby, all my vendors had a detailed timeline of what to expect day of and what I wanted from them. When I tell you I didn’t have to make a single phone call or write a single email to a vendor, I mean NOBODY called me to ask questions the week of the wedding. This is because Shelby handles everything and follows up with everyone on your behalf before they could call you. All my vendors loved working with Shelby and appreciated her professionalism and thoroughness. On the day of the wedding, Shelby executed every single piece of my wedding better than I could have imagined. She took care to display everything beautifully, and I received so many compliments about how all the little details came together. Shelby constantly checked in with me to make sure I had anything I needed. My day was completely stress free due to Shelby. At the end of the night, everything was already packed up for me and placed in the designated areas. My husband and I both were hesitant to hire a wedding planner, especially because we had already planned so much of the wedding on my own. “I first heard about Abibi Bridal when I was assisting my best friend CakedbyMel assemble a wedding cake in New Hampshire in September 2023. Mind you, I was visiting my best friend in Boston for the weekend because it was her birthday. I live in New York, so I took a flight to Boston to spend time with her. My friend was hired to construct the wedding cake by Abibi Bridal because Abibi Bridal was booked as the wedding planner for the wedding. “My husband and I frequently find ourselves looking at each other and exclaiming, “we had the perfect wedding.” And we did, it was perfect in every way we could have imagined. I’m certain that we wouldn’t be able to say that if we hadn’t worked with MB Events. For context, I didn’t want a wedding. I wanted to elope because it would be easy and I just wanted to be married, but my husband encouraged me to consider an intimate wedding with our closest friends and family on his parents’ property. He also insisted on getting a wedding planner to make this as stress-free as possible for both of us. We talked to several wedding planners, but when we got off the phone with Marissa from MB Events, I immediately said “she’s the one.” Marissa was the only planner we talked to who asked about our story, our families, and our feelings right off the bat. She listened to us and gave us frank, honest advice about planning a “backyard wedding” (spoiler: it takes a village). I was truly starry-eyed while talking to her because she is the epitome of calm confidence. Now, this land needed some serious TLC… I remember when MB Events first came to look at the property, it was hard for any of us to imagine how we could turn it into our wedding venue, but Marissa saw through the wild overgrowth and created the loveliest vision that we never would have thought of without her help. It was the spark that motivated us to make this work. We didn’t really know what we wanted this wedding to look like, only some vague ideas: warm and whimsical, like a garden party with lots of light and color. We shared Pinterest boards with a wild mix of inspiration, and she was able to sift through all our ideas to nail down a theme that considered who we are as individuals and as a couple. Planning a wedding on family land requires a lot more thought and effort than a wedding at a venue. You need to consider things like bathroom trailers, weather protection, parking, and countless other things that were not even close to the front of our minds. MB Events thought of everything – this was clearly not their first rodeo. Marissa put together floor plans, mood boards, and schedules detailed down to the minute. She held our hands through every step of the process, kept in contact via call and text, and sent us reminders to be sure that nothing was forgotten. We took all her recommendations without question, including her vendor recs (which are top tier, btw), and I’m so glad we did. There are no words to adequately capture how incredible our wedding turned out to be. It all came together seamlessly, and we’ve been so humbled by the number of compliments we’ve received from our guests. But the best part for us was not having to worry about a single thing the entire wedding day. Knowing MB Events had everything handled gave us the peace of mind to be fully present (especially on the dance floor), and that is a gift that we will be forever grateful to them for. It’s priceless. At the end of the night, we exchanged tearful goodbyes; it feels like we’ve known them for ages instead of a year. It’s so obvious that they love what they do. Their love, care, and authenticity radiates. We cannot recommend MB Events enough; we can say confidently that our wedding day was the best day of our lives, and considering one of us didn’t want a wedding in the first place, we think that’s saying something. 10/10 would renew our vows just to do it all over again.”

“You will be so happy you hired MK Your Dream Day to make sure your wedding weekend goes seamlessly. We interviewed 4-5 wedding planner candidates and chose Mary Kate and her team because they offered a final 60 days package that was perfect for what we needed (we had already hired almost all of our wedding weekend vendors). By the time our big weekend arrived, we didn’t have to make any decisions about logistics, we were just able to be fully present and enjoy everything. We were thrilled to have Nicole as our primary planner. She is on top of everything. What stood out was Nicole’s proactive attention to detail. As our wedding day approached, she kept thinking of little details about our wedding to address that we would never have thought of. In their very helpful wedding portal, we were able to view a draft timeline of our wedding weekend more than six weeks out. Seeing the weekend laid out in detail well in advance minimized any potential stress we might have otherwise had. In addition to planning and executing the wedding day, Nicole also managed our rehearsal dinner with setup, vendor management, some cleanup so that our family didn’t have to do a thing and could just enjoy the event. On our wedding day, Nicole was accompanied by two assistants who made sure we had everything we needed throughout the getting ready hours, first look, photos, the ceremony, and the reception. The whole team was clearly on the same page and coordinating with each other behind the scenes. Nicole and Mary Kate were amazing to work with and we enjoyed spending time with them leading up to and on our wedding weekend. They came down to our rehearsal dinner venue, ceremony space, and reception venue for a 60-minute site visit and courteously spent two full hours with us making sure every detail and logistic was covered, in addition to ensuring our parents didn’t have to lift a finger when it came to executing the rehearsal dinner in their backyard. Nicole excelled at solving complex problems, like when our bus company went AWOL and we needed to add another bus for our big day. She relentlessly tracked down the right person and secured our second bus, then worked through our complicated itinerary and bus schedule to get everyone where they needed to go.”

“Sarah was a clear standout from all the planners we met. My initial impression of her was that she was warm, kind, and professional. She didn’t expect us to have every detail figured out and was incredibly welcoming from our very first conversation. From big to small details - cocktail hour, signature cocktails and menu design to florals, décor, hair and makeup schedules, transportation, seating, themes, clean-up, payment, contracts, vendor coordination, and all the little details you don’t even realize go into a wedding—they thought of everything. CityLux helped us plan our intimate, 30-person, two-day wedding weekend, including our at-home ceremony, a private dinner in Boston, brunch the next morning, and an at-home hibachi celebration. From beginning to end, everything was seamless. They coordinated our vendors, seating, table placement, florals, décor, silverware, timelines, and even last-minute replacements and adjustments. Every vendor worked together, everything was on time, and not a single detail felt out of place. Our planner, Allie, was truly incredible. “As soon as my fiancé and I met Devyn over a zoom call, I knew we had to hire her to plan our wedding. She is not only extremely talented in her field, she is also a wonderful person and very personable and easy to work with. My main concern going into wedding planning was being far from our destination (we live in CA and planned a wedding in MA), and for the design aspect as I tend to lack in that area. Devyn solved any concern - she attended vendor meetings in MA that we weren't able to, truly going above and beyond. She asked all the right questions and totally understood the aesthetic we were going for design wise and ran with it, coming back to us with gorgeous design decks (multiple!) that were on the nose. She was flexible with us being in a different time zone. She not only designed, but also coordinated flawlessly. She executed with vendors and built a relationship with our venue coordinator that I'm certain impacted how smoothly everything went. Devyn planned an entire wedding weekend, coordinating multiple events from Friday morning through Sunday morning including a yoga class, lunch, rehearsal dinner, welcome reception, bonfires, a brunch, ceremony, reception, an after party... We definitely kept her busy and she did not seem to tire. She led us through the weekend (along with her amazing team - Evie, Nicolette, and Alexa!) with so much assurance that everything would be taken care of. When rain was on the forecast, she moved our cocktail hour to a different location at our venue with only a couple of hours to spare. We didn't stress one bit. My now husband and I were able to relax and enjoy every moment of the event without worrying about the details and logistics. “We used Sara as the day of coordinator for our wedding at The White Room in Worcester and I cannot say enough good things about her. We began meeting about a month before the big day and had weekly check in's where she made sure that I was on track and getting everything done that needed to be handled. On the day she helped my parents with set up, ensured everyone was where they needed to be and fielded all questions from vendors and guests. The guests raved about the whole experience, and as far as I know literally nothing went wrong, and if it did, Sara handled it like a pro because I never found out! Knowing we would be working so closely with whomever we chose as our wedding planner, we knew these qualities were key and we felt confident that Taysia would be someone who would show up for us and handle all of our questions through this process. Taysia was thorough with all of her vendor research and recommendations, and walked us through a multitude of options that accommodated what really mattered to us and stayed within our budget. Even outside of our regular check-in calls, Taysia was always open and available to talk through any roadblocks or questions - she really cares about the couples she works with. Taysia made sure that if we were feeling stressed or nervous about anything, she came up with a plan of action and always grounded us. Taysia handled all the key vendor meetings and logistics leading up to and on the wedding day, She worked seamlessly with the onsite coordinator at our venue and kept everything on track from the ceremony to our reception. We had 170 guests and a handful of family traditions throughout the day - even if something didn't go exactly to plan, we truthfully had no idea. That's a true testament to the work Taysia put in behind the scenes to make sure we could be present and truly enjoy our wedding day without having to worry about anything. To this day we still get compliments from our family about Taysia and how smoothly our wedding day went. We couldn't recommend Taysia more as a wedding planner and would greatly welcome the opportunity to work with her again for other events.”
