“I honestly can't say enough amazing things about The Antrim 1844 Hotel! We had the most incredible wedding experience here, and I'm so grateful we found this gem. We actually heard about Antrim from a coworker whose family had their wedding there last spring. It wasn't even on our radar before that, but now I can't imagine our wedding taking place anywhere else! During our planning process, we got to see so many different weddings they were hosting, and I was blown away by their unique ability to make everything from small intimate gatherings to expansive celebrations not just work, but work beautifully! They really know how to adapt to each couple's vision. Working with Jill was such a joy! She made the entire planning process feel effortless and actually fun. She was so flexible with all our changes and took the time to walk us through backup plans for weather, which gave us such peace of mind knowing we were covered no matter what. We got lucky with lovely weather and got married in their rose garden, and oh my goodness - it was so breathtakingly gorgeous that we barely needed to add any decorations! The natural beauty spoke for itself and created the most romantic, dreamy backdrop for our vows. Having so many family members and friends traveling to join us, the wedding weekend stay option was a game-changer! The complimentary breakfast for overnight guests was such a thoughtful touch - it meant everyone could wake up together and start each day without any stress about finding food. It really made the whole wedding weekend feel like one big family celebration. The bridal suite in the main mansion was absolutely perfect for getting ready! There was space for our entire wedding party plus my mom and friends to get ready together, and it provided the most beautiful backdrop for photos. We got so many stunning getting-ready shots in that gorgeous space! The food was absolutely delicious - both during our tasting and on the big day! Our guests are still raving about it. The team worked so seamlessly with all our other vendors too, making sure everyone felt welcomed and taken care of. We were thrilled about the veterans discount, which let us add some extra special touches like a dessert bar, upgraded appetizers, and shade canopies for the ceremony. They made it so easy to customize everything within our budget. Every single guest has told us what an amazing time they had, and we're already excited to come back for anniversaries! We've heard their holiday decorations are absolutely spectacular, so we're definitely planning a winter visit. I love everything coffee, purple, and vintage; I almost never go somewhere without red lipstick. And you’ll probably see me somewhere in downtown Frederick at least twice a week. The SBD team has a team of Leads and Assistants of all backgrounds but we all share a love for logistics and supporting couples on their special day!

“We worked with Sarah Rosier, proprietor of Sleeping Bee Designs, for our wedding in May 2025 at Attaboy Barrel House in Frederick, MD and the experience was absolutely fantastic! Without hesitation, we would recommend Sarah and her team to any couple getting married in the DMV area. Our wedding faced weather complications at the last minute, but because of Sarah’s planning, coordination, relationships with vendors, and upbeat attitude, the day turned out even better than we had dreamed! We met with Sarah for monthly planning sessions, and she was always willing to be flexible if we needed to reschedule or meet for longer than planned. We knew what general vibe we wanted for our wedding, but did not have a specific theme or vendors in mind. Based on her years of experience in the business, Sarah recommended 3-4 vendor options to us for each category that fit our vision and budget, and all of whom were used to working with one another and with Sarah, so they were able to pull off a flawless event! In the end, we made the final vendor decisions based on her recommendations, but her recommendations totally removed the guesswork for us. We never, ever felt as if we were being pushed in any one direction; rather, we always felt that Sarah had our best interests at heart. Sarah has a great memory and is very organized, so she helped keep us on track and made sure there were no loose ends. The master to-do list template she provided kept us on task and helped us break up larger tasks in a manageable way. She was also conscious of our budget throughout the process, foresaw logistical issues ahead of time to save us time and money, and helped suggest places where we could reasonably cut costs (as well as emphasizing to us which places required *not* cutting corners on cost to ensure a seamless event). One important value of hiring Sarah is her relationship with vendors in the area, and ability to communicate with them on the couple’s behalf. This made it so much easier to plan and saved us time. Sarah creates a detailed timeline for the wedding day and takes care of coordinating it with vendors and staff to ensure everyone is on task and on the same page about how the day will go. She was also excellent at communicating with our wedding party. Everything went so smoothly on the actual day! We also contracted with Sarah for our flowers/decor. We told Sarah we wanted to spend less money on this element and adhere to minimalist decoration, and Sarah identified a really fun and colorful approach using growlers, bunny tails, and candles. We loved the way it looked on the day! Finally, we were blown away by how Sarah handled the last minute challenges involved when the weather looked like it wouldn’t cooperate. We had planned to do our ceremony outdoors, but needed to make a rain call 48 hours in advance. Prior to the rain call, Sarah had already marshaled our vendors together to talk through contingencies, drafted an alternate schedule, and put together a decoration plan for our indoor ceremony location. We felt so taken care of and the extra effort helped make us feel comfortable with changing plans last minute. Our wedding party and family members even keep talking about how amazing she was to work with. Sarah is the best at what she does! Thank you, Sarah!”

From the very beginning, Marijke was instrumental in creating a seamless and unforgettable experience for the couple and our families. She guided us through everything - from recommending fantastic local vendors (special shout-out to Brothers Pizza for the rehearsal dinner, Mr. Garcia knows his stuff), to patiently answering all our questions and providing thoughtful advice on staging the reception. Her reassurance was much appreciated, especially since this was the first wedding for both sets of parents! We booked the venue from Friday to Sunday, and having the entire wedding party stay onsite made the whole weekend feel cozy and relaxed. We had full use of the kitchen for the rehearsal dinner, which made everything convenient and stress-free. The reception space is stunning - chandeliers hanging from the rafters give it a rustic elegance that requires minimal decorating. There is a European countryside charm that the couple immediately fell in love with. Throughout the venue, you’ll find Marijke’s artwork, which adds a personal and artistic touch to the space. She’s an incredibly talented artist, and her work gives the venue unique warmth and personality. The venue truly speaks for itself. “Bowling Brook Mansion is incredible! This is a truly special venue. We offer our strongest possible recommendation, and our earnest thanks, to Debbie and her staff for making our wedding day more beautiful than we had ever imagined. The venue itself is gorgeous. The mansion is colorful and picturesque; the indoors are classy but not cluttered; the grounds are sprawling and luscious. We held our ceremony in a gorgeous, decorated, wooded grove, and took photos throughout the surrounding farmlands. We were very happy with the amount of space our guests had available to roam and mingle inside and outside the mansion. The ballroom was spacious, and with a cool summer evening, we were able to open an outdoor patio/tent area for guests to socialize. Also, when the evening wound down, we went to the roofdeck with close family and friends for a late afterparty under the stars—a gorgeous night in the countryside! Debbie and her staff are amazing. We can’t say enough about Debbie herself. She treated us like a member of her family, not just another customer. She was also easy to reach and easy to talk to throughout the planning process. She worked to understand our needs and sincerely respected our vision for our wedding, making several accommodations for our plans—such as permitting us to select off-list vendors, working with our family’s arrival time needs, and allowing us to stay in the honeymoon suite before the wedding. On our wedding day, she stayed on top of managing the vendors so that we could focus on enjoying ourselves. We owe a special thanks to Debbie’s staff for helping out in the aftermath of a hurricane. During the week before our wedding, the remnants of a tropical storm swept through Maryland. We were very worried that we would have to commit to an indoor ceremony, but the storm cleared late on Friday night, and Saturday was temperate and picturesque. Debbie and her staff arrived early Saturday morning and worked very hard to get the mansion and the grounds ready. Their hard work made our wedding day everything we wanted it to be. Caboose Farm is a beautiful, rustic wedding venue located in Sabillasville, Maryland (just north of Frederick, MD) that blends beautiful scenery with convenient accommodations. Located in close proximity to Baltimore; Washington, D.C.; and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the venue offers a charming 220-acre space with access to attractions such as golf, wineries, and hiking. Its scenery also provides a beautiful backdrop for events, with scenic wedding sites to choose from, countryside barn, and pastoral farms and pastures. Inside the event buildling we can comfortably accommodate up to 150 guests for a seated dinner. For groups over 150, we would have to bring in a tent for the dinner portion of the evening. The property offers seven fully furnished houses on its premises that can, collectively, accommodate 97 guests. The houses offer you the opportunity to spend a full weekend with your friends and family while celebrating your special day with those you love!

“Caboose Farm!!! We saw a few pictures online and fell in love. It had everything we wanted, houses on-site for us to host family and friends, beautiful open venue to walk around and so may places to host the ceremony. We saw two other venues before visiting Caboose and we made our decision before even leaving the property. Colby was so helpful, answered all our questions, was patient and very flexible. He gave amazing recommendations for catering and a tent and truly pulled through. It's crazy how much he does every weekend. Our wedding weekend was the most perfect weekend and we wish we could relive it again and again and that has so much to do with this perfect venue. The massive tree was the best spot, such beautiful places to take our couple photos, reception area was so great; literally no negative notes. My family was so happy they all got to pile into one house together. Similarly our friends loved being able to bounce around from house to house and no one had to drive. We're so glad we chose this venue for our wedding. 11/10 would recommend and 12/10 would do it again if we could. Thank you Colby and the rest of the Caboose Farm team for such an incredible weekend!!!”

“Margo was incredibly kind, attentive, and truly listened to all of my concerns from start to finish. My biggest worry was my hyper-sensitive skin, and she handled it with so much care. From the bridal trial to the wedding day, she explained every product she used and made thoughtful recommendations that made me feel completely comfortable. About a month before the wedding, I had an allergic reaction from trying new skincare, and she was so reassuring and adjusted everything so I didn’t have to stress about my skin at all. On the wedding day, she was calm, professional, and so easy to be around. She absolutely nailed both my hair and makeup, and my bridesmaids loved her too. She happily answered all of our questions and were impressed from the start. We loved being able to film our Love Story before the wedding, to also give us an opportunity to really get to know Livvy before our wedding day. She put our story together so eloquently and so quickly! We were immediately blown away with the quality of her work and the time it took her to get it to us. Livvy appeared genuinely excited and happy to be a part of our team as our wedding approached and continued to check in with us as our wedding approached. She brought this energy to our wedding day and it just truly felt like she was meant to be there. After the wedding, Livvy quickly put together our teaser video for us to enjoy before leaving on our honeymoon two days later. She simply nailed it and it held us over to when we got our final wedding video- which left us in the happiest of tears. Livvy told our wedding story in a way that just left our jaws on the floor. She really captured who we are as a couple, and we are just in awe of how eloquently everything came together. We are SO thankful and grateful we had Livvy as a member of our wedding vendor team. “Jon was highly recommended by our wedding planner (Lissa Marie Weddings and Events), and we immediately hired him after our initial meeting. It really says something when other vendors only have great things to say! He did such a wonderful job on our wedding day and really kepted everything flowing smoothly with no hiccups. Our ceremony sounds was absolutely perfect and the microphones were sooo easy to use and captured all the sound perfectly. Jon was great at making announcements, (even though it wasn't planned) like when he had to tell people to go to cocktail hour. We also had a photobooth package with him and the attendant did such a great job running the booth. It was definitely the most popular event and our families still raves about the pictures they took! From the moment we met Jon, he was just so easy to talk to and knew exactly what we wanted for the day when we shared our vision. Jon is so professional, supportive, and positive, and I can't imagine having someone else on our special day. He is definitely worth the money and I would hire him again without a doubt for any event!”
