We loved Blenheim Hill farm when we first saw it, which was under a foot of fresh snow, but when we returned for our wedding day (8/1/26) and saw everything in bloom we loved it even more. The place is beautiful, remote and relaxing. There are no sounds of traffic and the views are incredible. When guests starting arriving on Friday night everybody just kept asking us “where did you find this place??” Its truly beautiful! An idyllic place to get married. The Farmhouse, where we had close family stay for the weekend, is charming and comfortable. The kids loved playing with the goats, exploring and swimming in the lake. The adults relaxed and walked the property. The staff were helpful and fantastic the entire time. Leading up to the wedding, the venue had an online portal that organized lots of our wedding details which helped immensely with planning. The staff were very helpful with any questions we had. The food for the rehearsal dinner, wedding night, and brunch were all fantastic. They went above and beyond what most people expect when attending a wedding. Many people told us it was the best food they’ve had at a wedding. In fact, many people told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to! (We agree) A side note, we were worried about guests finding accommodations for the wedding, but everyone had a pretty easy time finding AirBNBs/local bed and breakfasts really close by. When we got engaged and started planning our wedding, we heard many people say your wedding is “just one day,” but it really is much more than that: it's the months of planning leading up to it and all the times you think back on it in the years to come too. We really enjoyed doing all the wedding planning with Blenheim's help and the wedding weekend was perfect. We will cherish the memories of our wedding for the rest of our lives. We’re sad that it's over, but if you want to invite us to your wedding so we can go back, we accept!

We got married at Mountainville Manor yesterday and it couldn’t have gone better. Lauren and James flawlessly executed our many many requests, accommodated our food allergies, and made sure that everything ran smoothly so that I, the bride, could (finally) relax. We used two of their recommended vendors: Gillian the florist and Matthew Lask the DJ and they were both fantastic. If you get married here, my one piece of advice is to listen to Mary when she reminds you to eat, otherwise you will miss the delicious food! We couldn’t be happier with our experience.

I do not have enough words to express how incredible our wedding experience was at Novella’s! From our first meeting, to our final exit the night of our wedding, we experienced the highest level of hospitality and service. Our guests raved about the food, the atmosphere and the staff! Everyone was super friendly, attentive and accommodating. Working with Bryce was like working with a life long friend. He was quick to respond to emails, kept us on track with our planning and brought so much ease to the process. We had full confidence in his team and were able to enjoy our day start to finish. Billiam and his team did a superb job hosting our wedding. My wife is particular about things and our wedding was no exception. Billiam was patient and professional in helping her vision become a reality. I hope I can convince someone else to get married here so I can go through the experience from the other side one day. Billiam, we are so grateful for all that you and your team did for us to make our day so special. It's clear that you have a passion for what you do and it is reflected in your work. Beautiful venue for our wedding day! We had a bit of a bumpy road leading up to it—the original wedding coordinator at Buttermilk left at the start of the year, and there was a long period of silence. Lauren, who started working there mid-way through the year, was an absolute godsend, patiently answering my and my family’s many questions and helping confirm all the details. She and Kelly were on hand throughout my wedding weekend, keeping everything running smoothly and beautifully. The space itself is stunning—all our guests and our photographer kept commenting on how gorgeous it was. The only hiccup was that my parents’ accommodation wasn’t available when they arrived. An alternative was provided, but it was understandably frustrating. Overall, though, the venue and the team made our wedding weekend truly special!

On top of that the service and care you will receive is top notch. Without Bianca holding my hand for a year and Judy tying up all the loose ends I don’t know what we would have done! 10/10.

About wedding venues in New Paltz, NY

Why Choose New Paltz for Your Wedding Celebration?

New Paltz weddings give you access to the dramatic cliff faces and panoramic vistas of the Shawangunk Ridge as your ceremony backdrop. You'll find a range of distinctive venues here, from historic Dutch stone houses along Huguenot Street to modern spaces with floor-to-ceiling windows that perfectly frame those mountain views. Located just 90 minutes from NYC yet surrounded by protected wilderness, New Paltz offers that perfect sweet spot of accessibility for your guests while still providing the natural seclusion you're looking for on your special day.

What Types of Wedding Venues Can You Find in New Paltz?

New Paltz offers a diverse venue landscape to match your vision. The historic Mohonk Mountain House stands as a Victorian castle perched dramatically on the Shawangunk Ridge, giving you Victorian elegance with multiple ceremony sites that feature those breathtaking cliff-edge views. If you're drawn to something more down-to-earth, rustic options like Phillies Bridge Farm provide authentic settings with natural charm that needs minimal decoration. For couples wanting simplicity in planning, all-inclusive venues like Novella's New Paltz include on-site culinary catering by Chef Michael Garnero, who brings over 25 years of Culinary Institute of America experience to your wedding day menu.

How Much Does a New Paltz Wedding Cost?

Wedding costs in New Paltz scale significantly based on your guest count. A 50-person celebration averages around $33,917 while a 150-guest wedding typically runs about $79,767. For larger gatherings, expect to budget around $99,596 for 200 guests or $139,254 if you're hosting 300 people. The average venue alone in New Paltz costs $17,544, which represents about 22% of your total wedding budget for a typical 150-guest celebration. This is notably higher than the national average of $6,500-$12,000 for venues, so you'll want to factor this premium into your planning early on.

Which New Paltz Venues Are Fully Accessible?

The Venue Uptown offers 8,800 square feet of flexible event space that can accommodate up to 225 guests with plenty of room for comfortable movement throughout. You'll appreciate how this modern space prioritizes accessibility for all your guests. Novella's New Paltz brings you the expertise of Chef Michael Garnero, whose 25+ years of Culinary Institute of America experience translates to exceptional wedding menus your guests will remember. If your chosen venue allows outside catering, you'll want to consider Bridge Creek Catering, which has earned numerous awards for their farm-to-table approach. Their locally-sourced menus feature ingredients from nearby farms, giving your wedding meal that authentic Hudson Valley flavor profile that perfectly complements the region's natural beauty.

What Should You Budget for Wedding Services in New Paltz?

When Should You Book Your New Paltz Wedding Venue?

New Paltz venues are typically booked about 12 months before the wedding date; 343 days on average to be exact. You'll face the most competition in October when inquiry volume peaks as couples vie for those prime fall foliage dates. The Shawangunk Ridge puts on a spectacular autumn color display that creates magical wedding backdrops, so if you're dreaming of those rich red and gold mountain views, you'll want to secure your date well in advance of the typical booking window.
