The Flowr Studio
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
  • Starts at $2,000
  • Serves Plantsville, CT

Hi, I’m Josslyn, founder and lead designer of The Flowr Studio, a Connecticut-based and Latina-owned floral design studio rooted in artful and intentional design. I’ve always been drawn to the way flowers can completely transform a space. My approach to design is inspired by nature itself, with an emphasis on movement, color, texture, and letting each flower do what it was created to do. Our name, The Flowr Studio, comes from the idea of flow state, that immersive place of focus where time just seems to kind of disappear. I find that same peace and presence when I design, letting flowers guide me as I shape each piece with care.

Awarded Best of Zola
“Working with Joslyn from The Flowr Studio was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From our very first conversation, her communication was exceptional, she was responsive, thoughtful, and incredibly organized. She truly listened to what I envisioned and somehow managed to bring it to life even better than I could have imagined. One thing I especially appreciated was that she created a custom inspiration lookbook for us early in the process. It was such a helpful and thoughtful way to ensure we were completely aligned on the vision, style, color palette, and overall feel before the big day. Seeing everything come together visually gave me so much confidence that we were on the same page. Her understanding of my style and vision was spot on, and the flowers were absolutely stunning. Every arrangement felt intentional, beautiful, and perfectly suited to our day. The execution on the wedding day was flawless, and everything was delivered exactly as promised. What really sets her apart is the personal touch she brings to her work. When she delivered my bouquets to the hotel, she included a handwritten card that was so thoughtful and meaningful during such an emotional and exciting moment. Then, a month after the wedding, she reached out again to congratulate us and check in, a gesture that speaks volumes about how much she genuinely cares about her couples. Not only is she incredibly talented, but she is also kind, professional, and invested in making your wedding day special. I cannot recommend her highly enough and would choose her again in a heartbeat.”

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

The setup and overall design was absolutely beautiful - especially our ceremony arch! I would highly recommend Fountainhead Floral Design to any couple looking for a reliable, talented, and customer-focused wedding florist!”

“Jen was AMAZING to work with! When it came to flowers for my wedding, I had NO IDEA what I wanted. She was very patient with me and helped talk me through my vision. She gave me flowers to pick from, talked about how big I wanted my bouquet and how much greenery I wanted, and then when I could find colors I liked in swatches, she color-matched the colors I wanted from an inspo pic I found online! She was very professional and patient with me, even when my plans changed or I needed to add to my order.  I am not the best at putting together a bouquet. I am also someone who likes control, especially when it came to planning my wedding. I was thankful that I was able to give Jen the reins, tell her what I wanted, and watch her make my dreams come true. When I first saw my flowers, I was speechless. She truly did make my floral dreams come true, and now I get to keep my bouquet for the rest of my life! A wooden flower bouquet from Jen is the way to go!”

“Working with Emily at Bell Brook Farm & Floral Design Studio was a choice we are so happy we made for our wedding day! I (bride) had seen their work at someone else's (Fall) wedding a couple of years back and the arrangements stuck in mind ever since... So I called! In preparation for our special day, we had a call with them to go over our aesthetic ideas and needs. Not only did the call help provide them with our hopes for the day, but it also helped give us a lot of valuable advice and suggestions that we ended up going with. Emily was great in her response, ability to accommodate some last minute changes, and meet our budget. On the day of our wedding, the flowers and foliage EXCEEDED our expectations. The arrangements matched our color scheme perfectly and gave the rich, summer garden vibe I was hoping for... honestly better than I could've imagined. When it comes to the logistics, BBF&FDS were very clear and upfront about costs and order of steps/information needed. They made sure to do their research on the venue's procedures and setup/broke down as scheduled. I definitely suggest using BBF&FDS for your special events! They are so talented and can make a bold, yet delicate, statement with whatever your vision is.”
