The Historic - A Southside Venue

Our historic venue was originally a church built in 1904 and renovated in 2011. We are known for having beautiful exposed brick, large arched windows providing lots of natural lighting, and unique spaces all over the property for special, picture-perfect moments.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Combines timeless elegance with history
  • Raw space for complete customization
  • Classic seating dinner

Venue considerations

  • Does not provide event staff
  • No all-inclusive dining options
  • Not for you if you are looking for something nontraditional
From our first conversation with The Historic - A Southside Venue, we knew we were in good hands. Their team communicated with us in a clear and direct way throughout the planning process, answering every question we had without any confusion. The space itself is gorgeous with exposed brick, hardwood floors, and natural light pouring in from every angle, which made our photos look incredible. We did run into one issue on our wedding day that was completely out of their control, but the staff went above and beyond trying to fix it. When they couldn't resolve it, they made things right with a partial refund and added free items to our reception. The flexibility and care they showed us made all the difference, and we'd absolutely recommend The Historic to any couple looking for a beautiful, spacious venue with a team that truly has your back.

I've had the awesome opportunity of working at this venue over my career and there's always one word that comes to mind....CONSISTENCY. Venue Chattanooga goes above and beyond for their clients every time I'm blessed with an opportunity to work there. One night the power goes out right before I'm about to kick off this wedding reception. People are looking around in disbelief and immediately the staff jumps into action by getting a generator to at best SAVE THE RECEPTION. That's exactly what they did at no cost to the client. It was a citywide issue but they took it upon themselves to do what they could to save the Bride's wedding day and THEY DID. Power was later restored but the party was going so well we really didn't notice. Chattanooga has been blessed with top notch wedding/event venues and The Venue Chattanooga is one of them!!!

The venue was absolutely stunning, the staff incredibly helpful, and Shanelle was exceptionally kind and attentive. Whatever I needed, they handled promptly and with care. They were wonderfully flexible when I made last-minute changes and went out of their way to help ease my stress throughout the day. Even though Shanelle joined my wedding planning process late, she quickly understood my vision and made it a reality. The food was fantastic! As a recent bride, I truly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding day. From the moment we first visited, we were blown away by how absolutely beautiful everything was. The space itself creates such a magical atmosphere, and it made our day feel even more special than we imagined. One of the biggest highlights for us was how much the venue takes care of for you. They handle everything, from tables, chairs, and linens to catering and bartending, which made the planning process so much less stressful. It was such a relief to know that so many important details were already covered, and that everything came together seamlessly on the big day. What really set this venue apart, though, was the staff. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly helpful, welcoming, and genuinely excited to be part of our day. They went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, which allowed us to relax and fully enjoy every moment. Colby, the venue coordinator, was an absolute joy to work with. Colby is not only super fun and easygoing, but also incredibly responsive and organized. No matter how many questions I had, Colby always replied quickly and made me feel completely at ease throughout the entire planning process. If you’re looking for a stunning venue with an amazing team behind it, I cannot recommend this place enough. It truly made our wedding day unforgettable.

The Barn at Faith Farms and Kaylee Brady deserve all the stars! Our experience at The Barn at Faith Farms was truly beyond anything we could have imagined, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible coordinator, Kaylee Brady. From the very beginning, Kaylee was unbelievably detail-oriented and always one step ahead. She answered every question—no matter the time of day—and made us feel completely supported throughout the entire planning process. Communication with her and the venue owners was so easy and responses were always same day. Kaylee is so easy to talk to, so helpful, and has a way of making even the most stressful moments feel manageable. Her warmth, professionalism, and dedication turned what could have been a chaotic experience into something smooth, enjoyable, and unforgettable. Not only was she there but the venue itself had staff helping to make sure everything went smoothly and escort guests if needed. And the barn itself—absolutely stunning. The moment we walked in, it felt magical. The rustic charm mixed with elegant touches created the perfect atmosphere for our day. Every corner of the venue is thoughtfully designed and picture-perfect, offering the most beautiful backdrop for every moment. It truly felt like stepping into a dream. The venue is gorgeous on its own, but the staff and venue owners made the experience truly exceptional. We couldn’t have asked for a better coordinator or a more beautiful place to celebrate. You'll find these prices give you great value compared to many other destination wedding locations.

Which Soddy Daisy Venues Offer the Most Distinctive Settings?

Mountain Heights Venue features a modern barn nestled among mountain hardwoods with a pond that creates stunning mirror-like reflections for your ceremony. You'll appreciate the practical amenities too; a fully enclosed barn with climate control, dedicated spaces for both bride and groom to prepare, and a vibrant 3,500 sq ft patio where string lights create magical evening atmospheres for your reception. Cedar Hills Farm gives you scenic farmland just 25 minutes from downtown Chattanooga. Your guests will be amazed by the large barn space that opens to sweeping views of rolling hills and those spectacular Tennessee sunsets that make for truly exceptional wedding photos. Linda's Lane offers that authentic rustic charm across its 4.5 acres of open space. When Should You Book Your Soddy Daisy Venue?

Most couples secure their Soddy Daisy venues about 16 months before their wedding date. You'll want to note that August sees the highest number of venue inquiries, which signals peak demand for those gorgeous fall weddings when Appalachian foliage turns the landscape into a spectacular natural backdrop for your celebration. Planning ahead gives you the best chance of securing your preferred date and venue.

Are There Accessible Wedding Venues in Soddy Daisy?

Mountain Heights Venue offers modern facilities that likely provide good accessibility, though you'll need to verify specific features for your needs. Linda's Lane might work well for guests with mobility considerations since it features open and level outdoor spaces that can accommodate various accessibility requirements. I'd recommend reaching out directly to both venues to discuss your specific accessibility needs; they're usually happy to clarify what accommodations they can provide to ensure all your guests can fully participate.

Which Venues in Soddy Daisy Excel at Supporting Remote Participation?

Mountain Heights Venue really stands out when it comes to including remote guests. The modern, fully equipped barn gives you ample space and a scenic location that works beautifully for sophisticated audiovisual setups. Linda's Lane offers a gorgeous rustic outdoor setting that creative planners can transform for interactive remote experiences. You'll want to discuss your technology needs upfront with these venues to ensure they can support the virtual engagement you're envisioning for guests who can't attend in person.

Where Can You Find Quality Culinary Options in Soddy Daisy?

Mountain Heights Venue includes a proper catering kitchen that can handle high-quality food preparation for your reception. While you won't find venues advertising partnerships with celebrity chefs, Mountain Heights provides excellent facilities that can support outstanding culinary experiences, especially if you bring in a renowned caterer of your choice. You might want to contact venues directly about their preferred catering partners or whether they'll accommodate working with a specific chef you have in mind. Many couples find the flexibility to choose their own food vendors is a major plus.
