When the bride shared her vision, I immediately thought of Ashanti because I’ve worked with her before and absolutely love her work. She’s one of the rare designers who can balance creativity with realism while delivering flawless execution. For this wedding, we had to transform an inspiration photo into a glam-style red wedding design, and Ashanti absolutely delivered. The bride wanted florals showcased inside acrylic tiers for the cake—a unique and challenging concept. These acrylic tiers had to be sourced from London, measured precisely, customized with Ashanti’s florals, and transported from Virginia to Florida and survive 3-4 days. Not only did the floral design make the journey, but it also held up beautifully throughout the wedding. The result? Stunning florals that tied the cake seamlessly into the overall wedding design. The bride was overjoyed, the guests were amazed, and I was blown away. Together, we created a once-in-a-lifetime piece for a deserving couple and seeing the bride’s ecstatic reaction made all the effort worth it. “We took on a lot of planning ourselves, and hired Rina to be our day of coordinator--or really month of coordinator--and out of all of our planning decisions, hiring Rina was one of the best decisions we made. Ahead of our first call, we sent a long document outlining the ideas we had--which she looked through and gave us useful feedback on as we considered what support we needed most. We had some unique ideas for how to do things our own way--and it was also clear from our conversation, that while Rina knows how to do a "textbook" wedding--she also knows how to listen to clients to help them make their unique vision a reality, even if that requires some creative thinking, crafting, or problem solving. When we did our venue walkthrough a month before the event, we sent Rina another long document, floorplan, and schedule the day before--and she once again arrived familiar with all of it. She had crucial suggestions, important questions we hadn't thought of, and proved again she was the right person to help us get prepared for the big day. That pattern repeated once more at rehearsal which was very efficient! The day of our wedding, Rina was punctual, professional, and in expert control running the show we had put together. She had already connected with all of our vendors, reviewed all the decorations we designed and how they set up, and was fully familiar with the timeline. When the inevitable surprises popped up, she was quick to roll with the punches--in a way that kept our plans on track! The entire event was not just beautiful, unique, and exactly the vibe we had envisioned--but it was also EXACTLY ON SCHEDULE, from set up to the paper lantern send off at the end! We are thoroughly impressed, and can't recommend Rina highly enough! She was our not so secret weapon. Let her be yours too! And make no mistake, while we had Rina as our month-of-coordinator--we would have absolutely hired Rina to take on the entire thing if we hadn't enjoyed planning so much (and even then, we couldn't have finished the plans without her input!). I will also say, having planned so much ourselves, it really made it very personal to us that the schedule we made, the decorations we crafted, and the timeline we envisioned were faithfully executed. It was so personal, that I thought it would be hard to hand off our cherished plan to someone else. Who could know it as well as us or care as much? “Brittney was great from beginning to end. She was very responsive throughout the planning process. Her spreadsheets were super helpful to keep all of the information in one space and to keep us on track. She kept an eye on the budget and coordinated all of the vendors. We spent the last year booking all of all vendors and working on all the fine details of decor, music, and signage etc. We started working with Days and Eves to help close all of the open gaps and work on the day of timeline. We thought we had all questions answered but we certainly did not! It was so helpful to have the team provide us with all of the schedules and guides to ensure that the day ran smoothly, for which it did! Everyone who was a part of the wedding knew what they needed to do and went to her or her assistant for questions. This allowed us to just be there and present. When we walked into the ceremony and reception, each time we were so blown away by how wonderful it looked! All of our items were placed perfectly to our guides and the restaurants additional items were worked in perfectly. “Before I met Katie, I truly thought I could be my own wedding planner. I had booked my venue and photographer and figured I could handle the rest. But once I dove into the world of wedding planning, I quickly realized how many details, moving parts, and potential stressors were involved. My biggest worry was that my venue had never hosted a wedding before, which felt daunting, and I was also nervous about managing vendors, timelines, and logistics while still trying to enjoy being engaged. Katie came highly recommended, and after just one phone call, I knew I needed her by my side. Her decade-plus of experience was immediately obvious - she knows exactly what to do, when to do it, what options to consider, what could go wrong, and how to handle everything seamlessly. After booking her, she recommended all of my remaining vendors (florist, cake, DJ, transportation, etc.), and every single one told me the same thing: “You’re in great hands with Katie. We’re not worried, she’ll tell us what to do and when.” Once I shared my vision with each vendor, I truly didn’t have to lift another finger. Katie handled all the technicalities and logistics directly with the vendors. She also completely alleviated my biggest concern, the new venue, through her excellent communication, organization, and confidence. We met monthly to touch base on what I had been working on and what I needed to work on next to stay on track, and I was never overwhelmed because she broke everything down in manageable parts and was always reachable with questions. On the wedding day, her team managed the timeline, directed people, coordinated vendor deliveries and setup, and even handled breakdown at the end of the night. When we realized we had forgotten some decorations at home, one of her team members literally went to our house to get them... that level of care is unmatched. My favorite part of my wedding day was being fully present and truly enjoying every moment without a single worry. It was a beautiful whirlwind, and because of Katie and her team, I was able to soak it all in. When people ask me if anything went wrong on my wedding day, they expect a story, but honestly, nothing did.
