Yanicke brings expertise and passion to her work. She earned a Fashion Design degree from Miami Art University and devoted early years to the Fashion Industry before focusing on event coordination.

“I don't know where to start. My wedding which started out as a disaster became the best day of my life thanks to Yanicke from Zenju Weddings and Events of Hawaii. I hired a popular and reputable wedding coordinator on island of Oahu before we found Yanicke. We started planning a year ago with a specific coordinator that I will not name. She was not the best communicator and her response time was awful. Two weeks before my wedding we could not get in touch with this coordinator and we arrived to the island from CANADA with my family. Our coordinator was a no show at the rehearsal. I was so traumatised. We booked a lovely estate on the west side of the island. The owner of the estate felt so bad for us, that he provided us a recommendation of his favourite coordinator and said she might be available for last minute clients. He provided us Zenju Weddings and Events of Hawaii contact information. I contacted Yanicke FROM ZENJU WEDDINGS and cried to her and explained our situation. I asked her if she was available in two days. She gladly accepted. Ofcourse we offered to pay her more for taking our wedding last minute. I called other companies and no one would take us on. When I provided her all of our information, she was shocked that our planning looked like a rush job and nothing was completed. I hired her for Day of Coordination, but she had to clean up a complete butcher job from the previous coordinator, that she did way more than the Day of Coordination. She provided a functional lay out, an efficient time line, ordered rentals that was needed for the caterers which we did not have, re-did our entire design. It was not functional at all. Yanicke was in shock with the awful job the previous coordinator did. Yanicke was a god sent. There are still good people in this world. She even showed up at my hotel room in the morning to make sure all the vendors arrived on time, coordinated our first look, and picked up all of the favours from the hotel. Her coordination was the best! She thought of things we did not know, since I am the first one to get married in my family. Her coordination started from the moment we woke up. Her team of helpers were so kind and dressed so professional. They helped us and our guests with everything we needed. Yanicke made our 20,000 wedding look like a 50,000 wedding. She responded to all our emails immediately and kept me sane. My mother cried with joy and so happy we found her! I highly recommend Zenju Weddings!!! They really know what they are doing and you can tell they have been doing this for a long time. Yanicke is not only the co-founder and owner but she felt like my best friend. She is not the coordinator that will tell you what you want to hear with all the corporate BS. She is real and will be very blunt on what not to do and save your day! She is the person to trust with your wedding! Thank you so much to Yanicke and her team! Patrick and I are so grateful you saved our special day! You are a life saver!!!! We will be back to Oahu on our 1 year anniversary and maybe you can plan an anniversary party for is in a year. MAHALO!!!!”

“Seriously, you need Annie. I am such a type A person that I thought maybe I didn’t need a wedding planner, but from the first consultation with Annie we decided immediately we needed her. She added value from day one, and saved me from making a horrible venue mistake. She knows everyone, all the vendors, and who’s the best fit for you and your wedding vision. What she doesn’t know (which is rare) she figures out - for example, I had a request to have a magician, a friend cleanse the space with sage smudging, and a sound healer at our wedding, and she handled all my unique requests so well and was up for anything. She is very detail oriented and pays attention to everything- all our bills being correct, caught mistakes I made, and paid attention to all my strange requests. Most weddings are full of some strange interpersonal dynamic challenges, and Annie knew exactly how to navigate each one, paid special attention to the dynamic issues with my family and was fully ready and prepped to keep certain people happy and apart. She dealt with last minute changes seamlessly, including a no-show bridesmaid and last minute addition of a flower girl. There is no one I trusted more with my wedding (and at this point my life, I mean, can I keep her?!!) than Annie. On my wedding day and for months leading up to it I knew that whatever happened to go wrong, whatever last minute issues I would have, Annie would handle it and figure it out and I would barely know the difference. And that’s exactly how our day went. She is perfect and I can’t recommend her highly enough. Ps- mango season band was amazing too!!”

“Aloha! Eight years ago was a very special day. Our beautiful ceremony took place on Waialae Beach in Kahala. We chose the White Roses Package, which included two leis with red and white rosebuds, we stood in a heart shaped leafy ring and our wonderful singer David Asing played his ukulele serenading us with Hawaiian Wedding Song; Kuuipo. We also released beautiful white doves out into the Hawaiian sunshine. Our hair and makeup was arranged for at our hotel on the big day and, a limousine collected us also. A truly fabulous day thanks to Leah and her husband Mike, who also took our photos and videoed the ceremony. Leah lovingly came to our rescue, when we both had a slight malfunction with our dresses! Needle and thread at the ready phew! We highly recommend Hawaiian Eye Weddings. Mahalo nui ia ‘oe!”

“We worked with Sandra for about a year leading up to our wedding at La Pietra, and truly, we don’t know what we would have done without her. We’re both busy professionals based in SF, so we knew we needed someone in Hawaii who could really take the reins. Sandra was a godsend. The biggest thing for us was that NOTHING fell through the cracks. If we mentioned something once, she remembered it. She was also somehow always calm. Even when we were indecisive, changed our minds, or threw something at her last minute (oops), we never once saw her rattled or annoyed. Special shoutout to Kandis too, who helped coordinate so many details throughout the year! We also loved that Sandra wasn’t afraid to tell us what she thought. We were initially against having a tent because we thought it would ruin the look of the wedding. She ultimately left the decision to us, but made sure we understood the realities of Hawaii weather. We're so glad we listened! It rained the day before, was insanely windy the day of, and the tent ended up being a great decision. Her vendor network was another huge plus. After so many years planning weddings in Hawaii, she knows who’s good. She gave us a handful of trusted options for each vendor, we interviewed and chose who felt right, and we ended up LOVING everyone we hired. They also consistently told us how incredibly “on it” Sandra was. And on the wedding day, we just… enjoyed it. Everything ran so smoothly that we could be fully present. Seeing everything we’d spent a year planning and envisioning finally come to life, even more beautifully than we imagined, was so special. It genuinely felt like the perfect day, and we know it wouldn’t have been possible without Sandra and her team. We’d recommend Sandra a million times over.”

“I legitimately do not even know where to begin, other than HIRE TARA IMMEDIATELY! I am probably one of the most Type A people, you will ever meet. So relinquishing control day of was extremely hard for me. However, I knew that if I actually wanted to enjoy the day, unlike many of the weddings I have been in previously, I needed a day of coordinator. I interviewed several and Tara was the ONLY one that made me feel good. She was thorough, on top of things, and, quite frankly, equally as Type A. I can honestly say we were ALWAYS on the same page. I swear every email between us started with "I was just about to ask you...". I never would have been able to relax on my day, had it not been for Tara. She took my vision and brought it to life, despite the venue not being prepared, and giving some push back. She was able to pivot flawlessly whenever there was a hurdle, and she truly delivered the dreamiest wedding for us! Never once did stress get passed down to us as the Bride and Groom. She was reassuring, confident and helpful. Honestly, the day was better than I ever could have imagined, given some of the issues we had with the venue. She was a total and complete life saver, running between the two hotels my now Husband and I were at, when we forgot things. She even brought things to our hotel rooms for us, when we had forgotten them. I got home thinking I had lost my personalized hanger, and low and behold found it neatly packed away in one of my boxes, courtesy of Tara. She controlled all of the controllables and more, and I have not heard a single negative things about the day. In fact, I have had guests ask for her number, because she was so incredible and on top of everything. The best advice I can give to any couple in need of any wedding planning/coordination services is RUN DO NOT WALK TO ELARDO EVENTS. She is quite possibly, the best!”

“I’m not even sure where to begin to describe how amazing Events by McKenna is at what they do!! McKenna is the most kind, helpful, and enthusiastic person to assist you during such an important time in your life. She made sure everything went perfectly on our wedding day and every day leading up to it! When we first started our wedding planning journey, we only knew where we wanted to have it, and due to the venue location not regularly being used for weddings, we needed to outsource vendors for everything. That's where McKenna came in and helped us out by hand-picking every vendor that she knew would provide the exact things we were looking for. From catering, florals, furniture rentals, DJ, and all the little details, she knew who would be perfect for the job and she was right about every single one! One thing that we were really hoping for was getting a disco ball above our dance floor, but since we were outdoors, it wasn’t looking promising. McKenna was the one who made sure that we got our disco ball, and it was absolutely perfect! That’s just one example of the many ways McKenna ensured our dream wedding would become a reality. On the day of, McKenna and her team were so efficient and handled everything so that my husband and I could relax and focus on ourselves. We got to our venue and everything was already done and ready to start the day! McKenna was amazing at time management throughout the day, and she was so helpful to not only us, but our families, wedding party and guests as well. Everything went perfectly on schedule and all the crazy ideas that we had came to life with no issues! It was truly the best day of our lives and it wouldn’t have been possible without McKenna’s help! “HIRE CASSIE!!! There are so many reasons to hire Cassie, including that she is absolutely a lovely human being, but it really boils down to she will make your whole wedding better, both from your perspective and your guests’. We were definitely that overly anxious couple who thought about eloping at every other decision. Cassie greatly reduced the stress on our plates by doing all the research so we could actually enjoy making the decisions and envisioning our day. Anything we didn’t absolutely love, Cassie would come back to us with new options, helping to fine tune the vision so the day perfectly fit us. When we were worried we were behind schedule or over budget, Cassie and her phenomenal organizational skills always helped reassure us of the timeline and that we were in fact coming in under budget for our wedding. And she did all of this while we lived in California, planning our Massachusetts wedding. At one point during the process, my partner,Cassie, and I were in three different states, but she always found the time to meet and made sure she was always available for us. The day of the wedding, we got so much feedback from our parents and the bridal party that they have never seen a wedding run so smoothly. Even the hairstylist noted she had never seen a bridal party so relaxed and on schedule. At our wedding, with Cassie handling all the day-of coordination, we were able to simply be guests of honor and enjoy the evening. Our wedding ended up being beyond our wildest dreams and it is really all thanks to Cassie.”

“Zoe put in so much hard work leading up to the wedding and especially on the day of. She pulled off a huge afternoon tea wedding with grace, good cheer, and patience. Everything was just so beautiful, I didn’t want it to end! Every time I talk to my mama about what an incredible job she did she says Zoe never stopped working so quickly and efficiently the whole day!! From the moment I spoke with Zoe, I knew I wanted her to be the one to make my afternoon tea wedding reception come true! She is so kind and organized and quick to respond to questions. She made a timeline for the wedding and added teacups, teapots, and a cute cart to the timeline so it wasn't just text on white paper. She really is more of a months-before-coordinator instead of a day-of-coordinator. She responded to texts and emails quickly and helped me stay calm leading up to the wedding day. Zoe met me, my then future husband, my mama and dad, and our caterer at the bridge club about two weeks before the big day. She helped figure out where everything was going to go and had a contingency plan in case it rained (which it did) She timed out how long it would take for my parents to walk me down the aisle so we knew how long we could let the processional song play. On the big day, it was raining but that didn't spoil Zoe's mood or ability to put everything together in a timely manner. She worked alongside our tea service person to set 14 tables with different color tablecloths, mismatched teacups, saucers, bread plates, luncheon plates, 3-tiered stands, water glasses, coupe glasses, napkins, decorative books, table numbers, bud vases, and wedding favors for 52 people. She also set-up our welcome table with bread and butter, water dispensers, guest book, and library card catalog for the seating chart. In addition to all this, she made sure I had my bouquet and was ready to walk down the aisle on-time, played the 3 different songs we had for the ceremony, and wrangled the guests to be seated and placed our floral arrangements on either side of the alter. During the afternoon tea she poured water, Prosecco, and sparkling apple cider for everyone. She played our Spotify playlist from her phone and brought out the wedding cake for us to cut. Once the reception was over, she and our tea server packed up all of the items so our Taskrabbit person could take everything back to our condo. She did this so quickly and efficiently and told me and my husband we didn't need to help. I really don't think we could have pulled off such a huge event without her!! Oh! and she was so sweet during the getting ready portion of the day, she gave me a glass teapot ornament as a wedding day gift (((*warm fuzzies*)))”
