I’m Emilie, the artist and filmmaker behind Soft Focus Weddings. I created Soft Focus out of a love for the intimate, beautiful details that make a wedding feel uniquely yours. With a background in filmmaking and makeup artistry, I get to combine two things I love: helping people feel beautiful and preserving the moments they’ll want to return to for years to come. My approach is romantic, personal, and never one-size-fits-all. Whether I’m creating your bridal makeup or capturing your wedding on film, I want the finished result to feel unmistakably like you.

Soft Focus Weddings brings bridal makeup and cinematic wedding filmmaking together under one creative vision. Because I work both behind the makeup chair and behind the camera, I understand how beauty translates in person, in photographs, and on film. Couples can book either service individually or bundle both to simplify planning, save on combined services, and create a more visually harmonious wedding experience from getting ready through the final film.

Films to Treasure & Beautiful Makeup
Working with Emilie was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. She did both my makeup and our wedding videography, and having one person understand the full visual feeling I wanted made everything feel so cohesive and easy. My makeup looked beautiful in person and on camera, but I still felt completely like myself. Emilie created such a calm, comfortable atmosphere while I was getting ready, which was exactly what I needed that morning. I’m also so happy we chose her for our wedding films. We received social media videos that let us quickly relive and share our favorite moments, along with a full-length documentary that captured so much more of the day. The documentary included the meaningful little moments, reactions, speeches, and memories that would have otherwise passed by in a blur. It truly feels like we can step back into our wedding day whenever we watch it. Emilie brought so much care and creativity to both services, and it was incredibly convenient to book our makeup and wedding films together.
