Package #1

Description

Initial Deposit: $297.50 (50% of Ceremony Fee) (If your wedding is in 3 weeks or less at the time of booking, the full $595 is required.) Koru provides the same personal care to all of our couples. However, Package 1 has fewer options than Package 2 or 3 and does not include a rehearsal. This package is only available for the following weddings: 1. Off-Season (January – March) 2. Weekday (Monday – Thursday) 3. Minimony (less than ten guests) 4. Elopement and Short Notice (3 weeks or less)

Description

Initial Deposit: $397.50 (50% of Ceremony Fee) This package covers the many hours it takes to get to know you and to create and perform a custom-built ceremony celebrating you. It includes: 1. Two meetings (planning + review) 2. Unlimited email communication 3. Writing personal, customized script + edits 4. Help with readings, music, etc. 5. Rehearsal guidance so everyone feels prepared 6. Early arrival (30-60 min. ahead) 7. Officiating the ceremony with expertise 8. Filing the marriage license

Description

Initial Deposit: $497.50 (50% of Ceremony Fee) This popular premier package includes everything in Package #2, plus these additional features to take your wedding day to the next level. 1. Your personalized love story to share with your guests during the ceremony 2. A vow-writing session with guidance in writing eloquent, heartfelt personal vows with each of you. 3. A copy of the book The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work by Dr. John Gottman to support your marriage journey

    Such a wonderful experience!

    We had such a great experience with Koru! Pat is very organized, professional, and made the process of planning our wedding ceremony very easy. Our ceremony was perfect and exactly what we wanted! Pat also ran our wedding rehearsal very smoothly and efficiently, keeping things fun while directing the room. She gave us a lot of tips for a smooth ceremony, amazing photos, and her assistance with processing our marriage license was very helpful. We very much enjoyed working with Pat and highly recommend Koru to officiate your ceremony!

    Amazing

    Pat was amazing! She went above and beyond for our wedding. She made the entire process or writing out ceremony (which holy cow that is way more work then I would have ever thought) SO easy. She exceeded my expectations, showed up on the big day and knew exactly what she’s doing. Our ceremony was beautiful and she kept the audience engaged with a beautiful speaking voice. Sent reminders of our tasks we needed to do for legal stuff. You can’t mess up your ceremony if you have Pat. Would recommend to anyone.

    Koru Ceremony

    We were matched with Sarah Harrison from Koru and from the first moment we spoke with her, we knew she would help to make our day so special! She was so patient, kind and a welcomed calm presence for us throughout this whole process. She was also super flexible and understanding when we had a last minute schedule change.     Such a beautiful personalized ceremony!

    Pat did such an exceptional job creating, organizing, and officiating our wedding ceremony! We got so many compliments from our guests saying how personalized and beautiful the ceremony was compared to other weddings they've been to. Pat is so kind, organized, and extremely experienced. If you are a Type A person like me, Koru will put your mind at ease. They have very nice worksheets that lay everything out beautifully, examples of every little part of the ceremony so you can choose the vibe of the ceremony that best fits you, and there's always flexibility to customize any part of the ceremony to make it absolutely perfect. They send you the final ceremony way ahead of time so you know exactly what will be said and you can make edits as much as you’d like. At the beginning they will meet with you to get to know you as a couple so they can share your story throughout the ceremony. They can even help you write your vows if you like. Also, other companies will say they can't guarantee your officiant will be able to attend your rehearsal, which is so crazy in my opinion because that's kind of the whole point of a rehearsal, but when we asked Pat if Koru does she was like "Well yes of course I would be there!" and she ran the whole rehearsal for us, our venue coordinator probably didn’t even have to be there. She even sent a video ahead of time to help us learn a dip kiss for the end of the ceremony to get that picture-perfect moment. Another bonus, they will also help you through getting your marriage license and certificate and even file your license for you! If you want piece of mind, the best ceremony ever, and no surprises along the way, this is the one!

    Great for personalizing your ceremony and vows!

    We worked with Sarah and she was wonderful! She was invested in us as a couple from the very beginning, very engaged in conversations and genuinely wanted to get to know us better! The process of customizing our ceremony with her was simple and she made sure it was perfect for us, adjusting whenever and whatever we wanted. She ran our rehearsal with ease, commanding the room but keeping things fun and light (our friends and family were delighted and very impressed!), with lots of great tips for a smooth ceremony and beautiful photos. She led our ceremony very well, several of our guests even expressed how special and heartfelt the ceremony was during the reception (so many happy tears)! We thoroughly enjoyed working with Sarah and would recommend her to everyone, especially if you are trying to blend your own personal stories and personalities into your ceremony.

We create a meaningful, one-of-a-kind ceremony that fits your style, honors your love story, and represents the life you are making. We elevate your celebration from a fill-your-name-in-the-blank, canned experience to a wedding that is an unforgettable, heartfelt, highly personal experience. We hope that at the end of the day, you say to yourself, “That is precisely what we wanted!” The process can look different for each couple, and that’s the joy of getting to know you and writing a ceremony that reflects you and your vision of how you want your wedding to feel.
The rehearsal is a chance to work out all the kinks and logistics, so the ceremony goes smoothly. It’s an opportunity to make sure everyone in your wedding party and immediate family knows what to do, where to sit, how to walk down the aisle, hold the bouquet, and all the other little things that make you and your wedding party look like pros and get great photos. Some weddings don’t need a rehearsal, but most do. Including the rehearsal in two out of three of our packages eliminates this as a money-saving decision, so you can decide what is best for you.
Although we are honored to be invited, we would never see our families on the weekend if we went to every rehearsal dinner and wedding reception. So, we leave shortly after the rehearsal and wedding (after taking a few photos) so you can begin celebrating with your loved ones.
Included in our fee is 50-mile round-trip mileage for each day (100 miles for the rehearsal and wedding day). Anything beyond that is charged $1.50/mile from the point of origin (each officiant’s home). We can calculate the additional mileage beforehand so you are fully aware of the total cost.
Yes, we officiated same-sex couples’ commitment ceremonies for years before it became legal to marry in 2015. We support and are open to all kinds of couples because we believe in celebrating love for all.
You can book anywhere from the week or two before the wedding to up to a year or more. Keep in mind that our schedules fill up quickly during the wedding season (May-October), so contacting us sooner versus later is always the best option.
