I’m Winterlyn Stebner , the owner and photographer behind Winterlyn Photography. For more than 12 years, I’ve photographed weddings across Chicago and beyond, blending editorial elegance with documentary storytelling. From full wedding celebrations to intimate elopements and engagement sessions, I bring a calm presence, thoughtful direction, and an eye for the details that make your story yours. My approach gives you space to enjoy your day, with beautifully composed portraits and honest, candid photographs that bring you back to how it felt.

My mission is to create a luxury photography experience that feels effortless, personal, and deeply meaningful. What sets me apart is my commitment to photographing both the beautifully unplanned moments and the editorial portraits that define a wedding story, all while building real connections with my couples and vendor partners. I only take on a limited number of weddings each year to ensure every couple receives the care and attention they deserve.

    Above & Beyond Photopraphy

    I worked with Winterlyn this past weekend for a wedding at The Rookery and she was incredible. Her professionalism and kindness throughout the entire process blew me away. She gave so freely of her time and attention. She joined us for the final walkthrough to ensure she understood the couple's vision, she gave them some beautiful pieces that we were able to use for their flat lay and detail shots and all day long she worked so hard to ensure that the day went smoothly for them and that they got the photos they had been dreaming about! When it seemed like the Photo Booth we had hired was not going to show up, she quickly helped me come up with a Plan B and offered to help take photos of the guests and the props so that the guests and couple would still get the pictures they had intended. I was stunned by her generosity all day long. Winterlyn is the kind of photographer who deeply cares about her clients and couples and I hope to work with her again and again. I am so incredibly grateful for her and her talent. Beautiful inside and out!

    You’re in the best hands!!

    Beyond my wildest dreams

    First, I am SO incredibly happy I went with Winterlyn to capture my wedding day! As soon as she got to the venue, she went to work and did not stop until she left for the night. I appreciated her work ethic, professionalism, advice, and creativity. Her personality made it easy to have a great day, even in the midst of a little chaos. Also, I have to mention her second shooter, Antwonette, was a pleasure to work with as well! Second, the sneak peak pictures....BLEW ME AWAY! I wanted light, airy, magical pictures, and she delivered beyond my wildest dreams (and I only have seen the sneak peaks). Between the detail pictures, portraits, groups, ceremony and reception, Winter sure knows how to capture the magic of a wedding.     Amazing images and people

    Winterlyn and Emily were so helpful in their guidance, they gave us directives and ideas of what we might want photographed. They were very on top of keeping us on track and as organized as possible. I couldn’t have asked for better quality photos or easier photographers to work with. My entire family was very impressed with their work. Highly recommend this company for any occasion!

    Amazing and Everything Imagined

    Being a Photographer myself, "who is your wedding photographer?" was the biggest question of my wedding planning. Covid-19 had rerouted our wedding, so we ended up doing a small wedding in Elmhurst, IL. She was so professional, sent out a questionnaire prior to make sure she got all the shots we wanted, and did a video consultation to make sure she had all the details. She arrived early to get her bearings and I made a detail box all together to help her with everything to start while I got ready. She got the details perfectly, captured all the perfect moments, and dealt with our craziness of family photos. I trusted her fully and she did amazing. She had preview photos up within the next day, and the blog up by the Monday following the wedding. She was super flexible and amazing to work with! Thanks Winterlyn! Monica & Drew

Most of my wedding collections include a talented, experienced second photographer who has worked alongside me for more than three years. We work seamlessly together to capture different perspectives and moments throughout your day. My eight-hour collection includes coverage by me alone, and for larger weddings, we also bring an assistant to help everything run smoothly.
You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of shooting. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
In my 12+ years of experience as a Chicago wedding photographer, I’ve never canceled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to shoot your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
Within 48 hours of your wedding, I’ll share a sneak peek of more than 100 images so you can relive the day and share your favorites while I finish your full gallery. My turnaround time varies by season, but your complete online gallery is typically ready within 4–6 weeks. It includes high-resolution images you can download, share with loved ones, and use to order prints.
I don’t offer videography services, as my expertise and full attention are dedicated to photographing your wedding day. I’m happy to recommend talented professional videographers I’ve worked with for many years and trust to capture your celebration beautifully. You’re also welcome to choose your own videographer. I’ll collaborate with whoever you hire to keep coverage coordinated and your experience seamless.
