I'm Emily, the Owner and Lead Planner behind the scenes, crafting unforgettable moments. My journey began with a degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, Go Rebels! In Las Vegas I worked for a destination management company that taught me so much about the industry. From event management, to florals & signage design, custom builds, how to create transportation manifests, execute dine-arounds, oversee entertainment and so much more! In 2020 I moved to Northern Nevada and fell in love with wedding planning. My passion for wedding planning comes from connecting with couples behind the scenes and bringing their dream day to life.

We focus on creating memories. Spomini! Meaning memories in Slovenia is Inspired by my heritage, we keep this Slovenian word close to our hearts with every event we plan. To us, events are more than just logistics; they're opportunities to craft unforgettable experiences, weaving in moments that resonate long after the last guest has departed. Since 2016, we’ve been planning large-scale events from weddings for Olympic athletes to corporate gatherings for over 40,000 attendees, we’ve seen and planned it all. After years of learning from the best - I am so excited to launch Emily Taft Events in 2024!

    Emily is the BEST

    WOW. Emily is an absolute PRO, and hiring her was one of the best decisions we made. We honestly can't imagine how we would have pulled off our wedding without her. Going into wedding planning, I had no idea how much work actually goes into making a wedding day run smoothly. There are so many moving pieces behind the scenes, and Emily thought of every little detail. She kept us organized, prepared, and always one step ahead, so when our wedding day came, we were able to just show up, be present, and enjoy every second. Our day was truly perfect from start to finish. I honestly can't think of a single hiccup. Everything flowed so seamlessly, and I know that's because Emily was working so hard behind the scenes. She made everything look effortless. On top of that, she's just such a fun, warm person to work with. She has great energy, is incredibly easy to talk to, responds quickly, and is always on top of whatever needs to get done. We always felt like we were in great hands. I also have to mention that her prices are incredibly reasonable for everything she does. Looking back, she was worth every penny and then some. Emily, THANK YOU so much for everything. You played such a huge part in making our wedding the best day of our lives, and we'll always be grateful. We couldn't recommend you more!

    Exceptional Wedding Planning!

    Emily Taft is the Person for the Job!

    To say that Emily knocked it out of the park would be an understatement. Rarely do I ever feel compelled to write reviews for any business or service I have received, but Emily is definitely an exception. From day one, Emily was beyond helpful. Her organization shills, helpful tools, meaningful conversations and positive attitude made what we expected to be a difficult and stressful experience feel calm, in control and easily manageable. Emily also did a fantastic job working with/managing all the different wedding vendors and site staff. With Emily's help, the entire wedding day and planning process was smoother than we could have hoped for. She went above and beyond what we expected of her on numerous occasions, and showed multiple times that with her "get it done" and positive attitude, anything was possible. We are extremely grateful that we found Emily and were able to work with her for our wedding and would HIGHLY recommend her for anyone looking to make things as easy for themselves as possible on their special day!

    Amazing coordinator!

    Emily was the perfect addition to our wedding day. We planned a destination wedding in Tahoe so we didn’t get the chance to visit before our wedding week but she was so knowledgeable about the area and was able to give us suggestions to make the week/weekend perfect. She went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly on the day of, we couldn’t have done it without her.

    Hire Emily for your big day!

    Emily served as our day of coordinator for our March 2026 wedding and we could not recommend her more! As a DIY bride it was very important to me that our family and friends could enjoy the day without me enlisting them to help with tasks. Emily and her team did everything I could have imagined and more. From multiple planning meetings, to helping us put together timelines, to reaching out to vendors beforehand, and putting out fires on the day of when we didn’t even know fires existed. Our wedding would not have been what it was without her expertise and we couldn’t be more grateful. If you’re planning a wedding or any event, Emily Taft Events should be your first call!

Yes! We love the creativity that goes into all events. We also have members on our team that can help with transportation logistics, entertainment management as well as registration for corporate groups.
Yes, we have a team! I will be your lead planner - and depending on the scale of your event there will be 1-2 assistants onsite for your big day as well.
I have been in the industry since 2016 planning & designing corporate gatherings, networking events, weddings and more! Since moving to the Reno Tahoe area in 2020, my primary focus has been Weddings. As a lead wedding planner, have planned over 20 weddings!
As of now we are only taking one wedding a weekend.
