But here’s the real kicker—I’ve done it all! Need a last-minute boutonniere? Got it. Last-minute cake cutting? Been there. I’ve worked with a florist, been a second shooter for photographers, placed flowers on a wedding cake, and yep, I’m even ordained! So whether it’s an emergency or just a little unexpected chaos (because weddings love surprises), I’m ready to jump in and save the day! Truly My Wedding Bestie!!!!
I'm not even sure how I want to start this review because there's literally no words on how ECSTATIC I am with Mattlyn. From the start, this felt like meeting one of my good friends and just catching up! Mattlyn understood all my needs from the get-go and really made me feel so comfortable expressing everything I wanted! I went with her 3-month package and even though she didn't come in until that point, she checked in with me to make sure I wasn't losing my mind in the whole process. I'm so glad that we chose her for our wedding day because things moved so seamlessly and if there was anything that went wrong, I didn't know. As a bride, we're pulled in so many directions, and she made sure that I was only going in the direction I needed! Literally the entire day was perfect, even when our catering had a mishap. She reminded me that our day should not be ruined and I was to enjoy every bit of the rest. She was able to calm me down and really put my perspective back into place! My favorite wedding day memory will always be my husband and I exchanging vows during our first look! It was amazing to rehash everything after the fact and while I had no idea (I wear glasses and went without the whole day), Mattlyn also said she loved our private moment as much as we did! All in all, our wedding day could not have been more perfect and it's all thanks to my wedding bestie!!!! She truly is a friend, and I hold her so near and dear to my heart! I've already said I won't be losing touch, and it won't be the last we see of each other!

Working with Mattlyn Shelton was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. She was incredibly responsive to every question we had and always showed up when we needed her, which gave us so much peace of mind during the planning process. On the day of our wedding, Mattlyn's organization really showed through—everything ran smoothly and we honestly can't think of a single thing that went wrong. She checked in on us throughout the day and was genuinely kind and helpful in every interaction. We truly wouldn't have been able to pull off our wedding without her, and we can't recommend her enough.

Best wedding bestie
Mattie truly made wedding planning a breeze!! Between busy schedules and big life changes, she was there supporting us through all of it. We knew we chose the right planner from the start when we clicked over early virtual meetings and kept growing our relationship over many frantic phone calls and coffee dates. I never once felt like I didn’t have someone in my corner supporting me through all of it! Even with all the hiccups during the last minute stress planning, she smoothed everything over and no one would have known the struggles we faced that week! I would choose Mattie 1000000x again and again and every bride that decides on her as their planner is so lucky to have her as their wedding bestie!! Mattlyn Shelton Weddings and Events exceeded all of our expectations. She helped us decorate and plan for a rehearsal dinner because I did not want to work with my wedding planner for another event. From the moment we started working with Mattie, her communication was immediate, clear, and incredibly helpful. She was always available to answer our questions and guide us through the process. The quality of Mattie's work was truly above and beyond - she went the extra mile in so many ways, like buying the rattan chargers I had my heart set on and not charging me, and driving 30 minutes to pick up pretzels and prep them for the cocktail hour. If I could do it all over, I would choose Mattie to plan my wedding again in a heartbeat. Her attention to detail and dedication to making our day perfect was unmatched. We are forever grateful for Mattie and the Mattlyn Shelton Weddings and Events team.

Best Decision Ever!
I am the MOB and can't say enough about the work Mattlyn did to help us prepare and execute the perfect wedding for my daughter & son-in-law. We hired Mattlyn at the very beginning of the planning process and she made everything so much easier and stress-free. Her communication was so prompt. She was proactive in the planning process, clear and effective in her method of planning, and always responded to questions and our need for guidance promptly, usually within 24 hours. Mattlyn took time to get to know the couple and their vision and supported us all during the process to achieve that vision. Her advice was perfect. All our vendors were part of the short lists she provided us and they were all exceptional. We were so prepared for the wedding day that there was no stress or nerves. Mattlyn and her assistant/husband organized and ran rehearsal, rehearsal space set up, and on the wedding day, they were so professional and prepared that everything went off without a hitch. At the end of the night, they packed up and organized everything in the dinner space for us to return or take back to our home. We could not have asked for more. Also, we did almost everything over zoom & email and it worked very well. Mattlyn's family moved three hours away from my daughter's area of South Carolina in the middle of our planning process and it was never a problem. I emphatically recommend Mattlyn for all or any part of your wedding planning process without a second thought.
