About this venue
Situated on the grounds of a historic beanery, Hartlot Happening is a reclaimed industrial event space conveniently located 5 miles from the village of Skaneateles and close to Route 5. We offer a modern, industrial environment with an urban vibe in a private, rural setting. Our 19th-century concrete buildings have been thoughtfully updated to preserve their character. The Gallerie and Veranda combine to offer over 3000 square feet of versatile space. The Courtyard and Lawn can be tented for additional space. Additionally, the property includes a large open field surrounded by greenery, suitable for a ceremony or dinner. A mix of indoor and outdoor spaces provides guests ample space to move about and enjoy, as well as options for your celebration in case of inclement weather. With a capacity of up to 150 guests, our venue caters to intimate gatherings and more grand celebrations alike.

Weekend rental package includes exclusive venue access from Friday at 10 AM through Sunday at 1 PM. Peak pricing applies from May - October, off-peak pricing December - April.

Best Welcome Party - Ever!
We booked the Hartlot Happening for our welcome party the night before our wedding for our guests to come, enjoy some food and drinks, and mingle! From start to finish, Lora and her team were absolutely incredible. They heard our vision and did all they could to help bring it to life--and did so perfectly. The space almost feels like you're stepping into a European villa. All of the details are so intentional throughout and give the space such character. They are the kindest people who genuinely love what they do. We are so blessed to have had the chance to work with them and host all of our guests at the Hartlot.

Unique venue in the Finger Lakes
Hartlot Happening is a super cool and unique venue located right in the Finger Lakes. It has an industrial and fun vibe, and is unlike anything in the area. I have the privilege of providing rental services for this venue, and I am always so thrilled to see the space come to life. There are full bathrooms and a kitchen, as well as covered space in case of rain. Check it out - you will not be disappointed.

Best Venue Ever
From the moment we started planning our wedding at Hartlot Happening, the staff was incredibly quick, professional, and friendly in their communication. They were always informative and helpful, making the entire process a breeze. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful - clean, modern, and very affordable for the quality. Everything they said they were going to do, they did, and they even went above and beyond to coordinate with our other vendors to ensure our day ran smoothly. Magical Experience!
After getting married here in October, I cannot recommend the Hartlot Happening enough!! The space is a beautiful blend of indoor and outdoor which was SO popular with our guests. We got so many compliments on the venue because of how easy it was for guests to mingle and chat. Everyone said it was unlike any venue they had been to before—in the best possible way! The owner, Katie, was a delight to work with and was so mindful of preserving the vision we had for the wedding even when we had to make last minute adjustments on the fly. If you are looking for something different than the typical wedding hall experience, then Hartlot Happening is the place for you!
