Fountainhead Floral Design
Rating: 4.9 (54 reviews)
  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Ansonia, CT

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

Awarded Best of Zola
“Kate brought my idea of a spring garden wedding to life. She over exceeded my expectations for all the bouquets and the bud vases throughout the room. She was very easy to talk through it all and really helped with showing a personalized portfolio to really showcase what to expect on our wedding day. It was so special to me and my mother-in-law to incorporate her wedding dress sleeve as the wrap for my bouquet.”

I instinctually fell in love with the creativity of floral design and it wasn’t long until Willow & Grey was born. WG creates unique, romantic, and whimsical floral designs for weddings and events in New England. My desire is to curate florals that reflect and celebrate the beauty and magic in life’s most cherished moments.

“I wanted a florist who brought fresh ideas and a passion for their work. After speaking with several florists as well as Willow & Grey, I found that Renee was the perfect person for our wedding. She was extremely detail-oriented and thorough. Our arrangements from bouquets to centerpieces were so thoughtfully curated. Everyone loved them and so did we.”

“We are absolutely thrilled with the floral arrangements from Rebel Rose for our wedding! From the initial consultation to the final setup, the entire experience was exceptional. Tracy has an incredible eye for design and truly understood our coastal meets Bridgerton vision. She created stunning bouquets, centerpieces, and alter arrangements that perfectly complemented our wedding theme and added a touch of elegance to every detail. The flowers were not only beautiful but also fresh and vibrant, making a lasting impression on our guests. What really stood out was her attentiveness and dedication to bringing our ideas to life. I had collected more vases than I had originally planned on and Tracy ran with it. She made vignettes of large vases and bud vases, taking a fresh spin on things by using one flower type per vase. Her suggestions turned out even better than I imagined. Tracy’s professionalism and passion for her craft was evident throughout the process. The florals were one of the highlights of our wedding day, and we are so grateful to Tracy for her exceptional work. Thank you for making our special day even more beautiful with your incredible floral designs!”

“Isabelle is so incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and patient; a true artist with their flowers :') I emailed Isabelle to ask about DIY floral arrangements for our June 2025 wedding. We had such a fun time thinking up ways to engage my partner and I's family and friends, and Isabelle came up with the idea for a flower arranging party in their beautiful shop. The day before our wedding, we had our family try their hand at floral design. They had so many questions (ie, "Am I doing this right?" "What kind of flower is THIS?!"), and Isabelle greeted them all with understanding and care. AND there was handmade herbal tea and strong air conditioning on a 95-degree day. It was an experience I will never forget; thank you, Isabelle & the folks who make Fairy Meadow Flowers so special! :') Photo credit: Ken Yotsukura (& family/friends)”

Gabriele works personally with each client and coordinates directly with her team to ensure that their event perfectly matches their vision.

“Our wedding flowers were absolutely above and beyond. Gabriele's Hand Designs is my mom's business so I am familiar with the quality of her work, but despite this I was still blown away by the quality and beauty of our wedding's flower arrangements. They perfectly captured the urban fairy-tale style I was going for and Gabriele crafted a unique look based on the colors palette I shared, preferred flower types (I knew I wanted roses) and Pinterest boards shared. She did the hard part of making it all come together into lively, whimsical creations that captured our wedding vibe perfectly. I particularly loved the little mushroom bud vases she found which were perfect for us.”

“First of all - the end product was just beautiful. Everything from the bridal bouquet to the ceremony flowers to the table styling was exquisite and super unique. Shannon did a great job incorporating my favorite color (yellow) and a whimsical, organic wildness into the design exactly as I had hoped. From our first meeting to the written proposal, Shannon interpreted my thoughts and ideas exactly. I was so impressed that she took my ramblings and half ideas and pulled them together into what I was seeing in my head. Shannon’s GORGEOUS color palette informed the entire wedding design and gave me a jumping off point for invitations, bridesmaid dresses, other decor, etc. Unfortunately, the process of working with Shannon was a bit challenging. She struggled with nailing down details: incorrect number of tables, inconsistent accounting of candles/bud vases, etc. It took a number of incorrect proposal drafts until we got it right - just weeks before the wedding. We were honestly quite disappointed by Shannon’s flexibility and communication. She self-describes as being highly collaborative, but that was not our experience. First, as beer nerds, having hops in the design was super important to us, and while she flagged early on it could be an issue to source real ones, we discussed using fake. While we all agreed that she shouldn’t use fake hops if they looked bad, we were sad to see on the day of that they didn’t make it into the design. It would have been nice to have heard a heads up from her that she didn’t plan to use them - even if it was just a brief mention on the day-of. Second, when our cake plans fell through at the last minute, we asked Shannon if she could possibly supply a few flowers for our small 6” cutting cake. She told us she would try, but later we heard from the bakery that she had given them a flat no. She never communicated her decision to us. Thankfully, the bakery pulled something together for us (shout out to Zest Pastry!). Third, the Monday before the wedding, Shannon sent an alarming email with the subject line “Head Advisory, Oh No!”, asking us what our plan was. Getting any email titled “Oh No” isn’t fun to receive less than a week before your wedding. Further, as a trusted wedding vendor, we would hope that she would have plans for weather or unexpected events rather than looking to us during a very stressful period. Lastly, (and most disappointingly) despite having a run of day schedule, Shannon was nowhere to be found when it was time to put on boutonnieres and corsages. Our photographers and party thankfully jumped in to help to avoid major delays to portraits (shout out to Katie Slater!). Fundamentally, the product Shannon provided was beyond compare - everything was beautiful. That said, the communication, coordination, and organization were lacking from our experience.”

Raving Flamingo Flowers creates wholly original floralscapes from live, dried, faux, and foraged blooms. Inspired by fine art, wild textures, and the natural world, I think of every floral work as a sculpture, crafted with care to celebrate the love and joy in your heart.

“I cannot say enough amazing things about our florist! From the very first consultation to the moment I saw everything come together on our wedding day, I was absolutely blown away. The florals were beyond perfect — lush, romantic, and so thoughtfully designed. The bouquets were bursting with vibrant, textured blooms — deep reds, soft peaches, creamy neutrals, and those wisps of pampas grass that added the dreamiest touch. The ceremony arch was a total showstopper, blending elegance and boho charm flawlessly. And our golden retriever’s floral collar? I still can’t get over how stunning (and perfectly proportioned) it was — She looked like part of the bridal party! Every single arrangement tied the day together with such artistry and warmth. The color palette popped beautifully against our neutral bridesmaid dresses and the hill country backdrop. You can tell every petal and placement was done with passion and precision. If you’re looking for a florist who can capture your vision and elevate it beyond what you even imagined — look no further. Truly the kind of work that makes your wedding look straight out of a magazine!”
