“Celia is not your typical wedding photographer -- not even close. She is so much more! She's a documentarian, artist, journalist, and storyteller, and that is exactly why working with her was one of the best decisions we made for the best day of our lives! My husband and I wanted a photographer who would prioritize candid photos of genuine emotions and chaos (let's be honest, weddings are chaotic!) as opposed to staged and rigid "everyone-line-up-and-smile" portraits. The Lovely Lens fit that bill entirely. In addition to delivering the most beautiful, vibrant, happy, REAL photos of our wedding weekend, she was also such a lovely presence the whole time (I felt like she was a genuine friend by the end!) Also, she was totally game for everything! Our wedding got a late start thanks to the weather, which squished the time we'd allotted for photos exponentially (we also decided not to have a first look, so the photo time was even more squished). Celia quite literally sprinted through a field of wet grass and mud and then through a secret corridor with us as we rushed to get back to our cocktail hour to be present at our wedding.
