I grew up in a big family of chefs and grandmas who made every gathering revolve around food, which shaped my love for cooking and hosting. Originally from Michigan, I moved to the Pacific Northwest drawn by its beauty and culture of sustainability. After earning a master’s in environmental sustainability, I rooted myself in Portland and began cooking for friends. What started as small supper clubs grew into creating thoughtful, seasonal meals for micro weddings, private dinners, and weekly meal prep.

Our menu offers a combination of classic Tamale Boy favorites for which we’re known, as well as many creative inspirations from regions throughout Mexico. We invite you to be creative and pick from our broad list of dishes to design your own menu that is uniquely yours for your guests to enjoy. Full service bartending is available upon request.

Owner and culinary master, Hoda, is a second-generation Portland restaurateur who grew up in Beirut where she cultivated a palate for the highest quality, authentic Lebanese cooking.

Tarl & Eric have worked in the food and beverage industry for their entire careers. They bonded over shared culinary passions while working various stints in the Portland restaurant scene and eventually started cooking for festivals and other fun events around the Pacific Northwest.
