We had so much fun at the engagement shoot; it felt like spending time catching up with friends, but then we somehow also ended with incredible photos of us as a couple that we’ll always cherish. This translated to the wedding day but also extended to so much more — as a couple we aren’t particular about a lot of things and prefer to go with the flow and enjoy the moment. He was so easy to work with, kept our day peaceful and on schedule, and provided our incredible photos so quickly including many previews within 24 hours!! On the big day, he was calm and attentive, and really settled any anxious energy I was feeling. He arrived early and beyond prepared. He took all the shots I asked, and others I didn’t even know I needed. We opted into the second photographer and were so happy with the extra coverage and support we received from Mikaela! We did our vows privately and even though Richard shooting it really did feel like it was just us. Richard also was a huge help corralling family members and keeping us on schedule. He had fun with us on the dance floor and kept pictures moving so we really got to enjoy our wedding! Mikeala was also great at always rearranging my dress/train to fall perfectly for every single family portrait! We really couldn’t have done our day successfully without Richard and Mikeala! Almost more importantly, Richard’s support and organization before our wedding day was unmatched. We did engagement photos at our apartment and in Central Park that we used for our Save the Dates and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how they came out. “I cannot emphasize enough how much we loved working with Matthew. I'm going to break this review down into a few areas that I think were particularly meaningful to my experience working with Matthew: Photo Style I think Matthew's portfolio speaks for itself, but I just appreciate so much how his style blends dreamy romantic shots with a photojournalistic approach. My wedding photos really feel like they captured not only the memories of the day, but the feelings we had. Pre and Post Wedding Communication From our initial booking, Matthew was extremely easy to talk to, and made it easy to understand and talk through the details of our contract and what we could expect. I think for people who are planning a wedding for the first time don't realize how much having a vendor who is patient, detail-oriented, and willing to hold your hand and guide you through the process of booking, understanding your goals, and planning for your special day matters, and Matthew could teach a masterclass in this. The pre-work Matthew did of planning, researching the venue, coordinating, and communicating effectively and efficiently was next-level professionalism, and really sets the bar for what it means to book a wedding photographer. I also think it's important to note that all of the post wedding communication has been top-notch – I think it would be understandable to call the job done after the check is paid, but quality of our communication has been consistently amazing. Day-Of Logistics / Shot Direction Matthew and his second photographer followed the plan we had set pre-wedding to a T. They were actively leading the coordinating and making sure we had all of the necessary people ready to keep to our timeline. When it was time to do different set shots (family, bridal party, ceremony, sunset), Matthew had locations in mind and was able to give guidance that made us feel comfortable and natural while getting so so many amazing shots (in very constrained timeframes). Personality I think Matthew has a very high emotional intelligence, and he was so good at genuinely making everyone feel comfortable in subtle ways. My family and my husband are all very camera shy, and notoriously hate getting their photos taken. There were so many little interactions and things that Matthew did and said that made each person feel comfortable in their own way. A few examples that come to mind: - At one point, my mom was leaning against a staircase, and Matthew took a portrait of her and told her she was a natural at posing – up until that point, she had been feeling and looking nervous, and after that she really opened up and looked so happy and comfortable. - My dad is extremely camera shy, hates being on camera and typically looks terrified and self conscious in photos. Matthew said a few things while he was taking our photos that I think really made my dad focus on how excited he was for me and my wedding, and you can just see how happy and loving he is in the photos.”

We never felt rushed or stressed, he gives clear and easy direction, and he even learned guest's names (and instruction in another language!) to help make everyone feel comfortable. We had multiple calls with him to make sure we were on the same page, he always answered emails and texts quickly, and communicating with him was a breeze. Our engagement photos were on the hottest day of 2024 and he helped us get the shots we needed in one take every time, without literally melting. He has a unique eye for capturing candid pics and silhouettes, which is exactly what we wanted. We're in LOVE with our photos and he got them back to us much quicker than we expected. “Jessica was truly amazing to work with for our wedding day. From the very first time we spoke, Jessica had a sweet and attentive communication style that immediately put us at ease. I remember after our first virtual meeting her even sending a little thank you gift for meeting with her. And she was so kind, she asked so many questions and seemed genuinely interested about us as a couple and about our dogs! I spoke with some other photographers who seemed to care less about us as people. Which is ultimately why we went with Jessica to begin with, she was just so nice and her pictures were amazing to top it all off. Her passion for her craft was evident in the beautiful, high-quality photos she captured. Also her photo package names were so great (THE STAR WARS - "I LOVE YOU, I KNOW”)! For our engagement shoot we suffered through some of the hottest, awful, sticky, July weather and she was positive the entire time, managed to get amazing shots and deal with our crazy dogs! Before the wedding, Jessica was always easily reachable, and very on the ball. And will always be your biggest cheerleader, anytime I posted anything on Instagram, Jessica would be there celebrating, she is truly a delightful and genuine person! And I think her run through of the wedding day was the first one I got and it was perfect! And she went to the venue a week before the wedding to scope out the absolute perfect spots to take photos! On the day of the wedding, Jessica was able to calmly get every picture perfect, meanwhile making silly dad jokes to help us feel more relaxed in front of the camera. She was amazing at trying to calm down our crying moms, and giving us some moments just to ourselves, listening to literally everything we said, and always making sure we were okay, all while getting amazing shots! And all of our guests loved her! We had people reaching out during and after the wedding to tell us how wonderful Jessica was. Everyone was obsessed with her, both of our mom, my sister, my bridesmaids, even the best man kept talking about how great she was, how amazing everything went, and how nice she was with everything! Meanwhile I am sure it was like trying to her cats to get some of the photos together, especially when we both wanted huge extended family photos, but she was positive and amazing through it all! Jessica went above and beyond on our special day, making sure everything was perfect. I am sure I even missing some of the little touches she added to our wedding. And we are so grateful to have had her as our wedding photographer. She says on her website “YOU CAN CALL ME JESS (SHE/HER). AKA YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND!” And that is honestly how I felt throughout the whole process, literally love her! And I mean the photos really speak for themselves, they are absolutely flawless!”

“We don't even know where to begin singing Erica's praises. When she says "Client Friend" she really means it. This is exactly how she treated us from our very first Zoom meeting with her. Not only is she an incredibly talented photographer, but she was such a source of calm and support all the way through the wedding planning process. When we had to find a new venue due to issues with the first one, Erica was so reassuring that it would all work out and she even offered to send me full galleries of all the venues we were considering. When I forgot to put my engagement ring on before our engagement shoot (!!!!) she encouraged us to go back for it and told us not to worry about the timing. And on our wedding day, the second she saw me start to get stressed during family portraits, she stepped in with the most perfectly timed pep talk. Not to mention, she and Amanda (another Sweet Alice team member) managed to make rain on our wedding day such a special adventure that I wouldn't trade it for sunshine even if I could! Erica is the most kind-hearted and thoughtful human and this shines through in everything she does. From the many little treats and gifts she sent us just-because, to her ability to make anyone feel comfortable in front of a camera... “Cass was our photographer for our Catskills wedding this past August, but we have actually worked with her a few times before for family and maternity photo shoots over the years. So she was our obvious must-have wedding photographer. We (mom, dad and 2 young sons) love working with Cass. It is such a natural, easy, organic experience. She's an incredibly talented photographer but what we love so much about working with Cass is how amazing she is with children and curating human interaction. The poses and composition of her work really capture the moments and the feelings of the day instead of something overly manufactured and staged. We have two very young children - maybe crying, tantruming or fully avoidant during a shoot - yet somehow in every single session we've done with Cass, she manages to work her incredible magic. What we thought was a total bust of a session ends up producing the most stunning and genuine photos that really feel like us.
