Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (108 reviews)
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Rutland, MA

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
“We had a tropical themed wedding and used Flower Moxie for tropical flowers and greenery: bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, ceremony arch flowers. I wish there were more tropical related videos on their DIY Academy, but I did love working with my assigned florist and the help desk was quick in their response. For those who are getting married at the same location that the flowers are being delivered (my parents' home), I wish we would have done all of the floral arrangements the day before instead of 2 days before. And our spray roses came a day later and were a little sad looking. But overall, we were very happy with the service and highly recommend to others!”

If you are renting flowers, the return process is SO easy!”

I started my business in 2018, after I finished floral design classes from Cass School of Floral in Watertown, MA. I have had hands on experience from Floral Arts in Westford, MA and have completed over 75 weddings in my time as a floral designer. I have a little intern named Larry, a corgi-pit mix, who is the model for Little Blooms, who you will see a lot of on Instagram. I love using locally grown flowers as much as I can in my work, to really showcase 'farm to florist'.

“I happened to find Little Blooms on the Instagram page for my wedding venue (White Cliffs in Plymouth, MA) and immediately reached out to Danielle because the florals in the photos I saw were exactly what I was looking for. Not only was Danielle very thorough when asking my likes, dislikes, color schemes I had in mind and the theme of our wedding, but she was also so nice to work with and made the process stress-free and easy for me. She is extremely hardworking and set up the most beautiful arrangements on the gazebo of my wedding ceremony as well as aisle pieces, gorgeous bouquets for my bridesmaids and I, boutonnieres for the groom and groomsmen, stunning table settings and sweetheart table cascading piece. I told her my vision and she made it come to life more than I could have ever even imagined. Couldn’t recommend Little Blooms more!”

Sheri and Amy’s story began over a decade ago with a friendship that grew into a shared creative passion. In 2020, Sheri and her husband Will planted the seeds of Hoofprint Farm, growing flowers with intention and care. When a farm customer suggested Sheri and Amy design wedding florals, everything clicked. What began as a single “yes” became Hoofprint Farm Floral Design. Today, they blend friendship, farming, and floral design to create weddings rooted in natural beauty, thoughtful details, and flowers grown with purpose.

Awarded Best of Zola
“Sheri and Amy were an absolute dream to work with from start to finish. Not only are they incredibly talented florists, but they are two of the kindest, most joyful people you could ever hope to have as part of your wedding team. Throughout the entire planning process, they were always available to answer questions, offer advice, and accommodate changes. We were constantly tweaking details, adding things, and making adjustments, and they never made us feel like we were asking too much. They were patient, supportive, and genuinely excited to help bring our vision to life. One of the highlights of the process was getting to visit their flower farm, see the beautiful blooms growing, meet the horses, and experience firsthand how much love and care they put into their work. It made everything feel so personal and special. On the wedding day, they absolutely knocked it out of the park. The flowers were stunning and more beautiful than I could have imagined. Every bouquet, arrangement, and floral detail was perfect. They even put together a separate box of blooms for our photographer to use in flat lay photos, which was such a thoughtful touch. They truly went above and beyond all day long. They delivered everything, set it all up beautifully, pinned the boutonnieres for the groomsmen, and made sure I had my bouquet when I needed it. There was even a last-minute logistical challenge with the ceremony space that required a very quick turnaround, and they handled it without hesitation. They pivoted seamlessly, worked efficiently, and made sure everything remained beautiful from beginning to end. The flowers meant so much to me that I am having them professionally pressed so I can preserve them forever, and I cannot wait to see the finished result. If you’re looking for florists who are talented, professional, flexible, thoughtful, and genuinely wonderful humans, Sheri and Amy are it. We are so grateful they were part of our wedding day and cannot recommend them highly enough.”

Your wedding flowers should do more than decorate a room. They should make you feel something long after the day is over. My style is nature-inspired and a little moody: calm with a touch of drama, like an English garden by the sea. The most beautiful weddings begin with trust. “Working with Naomi for our wedding florals was a DREAM and an exceptional experience from start to finish. We cannot recommend her and her team at Nectar and Vessel highly enough to other couples getting married. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was hiring Naomi and her team and giving her complete creative freedom. She took that freedom, and spun floral magic into the most beautifully designed space we have ever seen. Her love for florals, and for creating beautiful moments for others shines in her work - and isn’t that what you want on your wedding day? To be surrounded by love through flowers that all your guests can feel? That’s the magic Naomi brings to weddings that is impossible to replicate. The floral designs and artistry that Naomi and her team created for our day were simply stunning. Beyond being beautiful, they were unique and felt personal to us. It was the talk of the wedding that none of the guests had ever seen a display like the florals at our wedding, and that each tablescape and design felt like a work of art. A few things additional things about working with N&V we’d like to highlight: Design and vision: Naomi not only executed a vision for our wedding florals and design, she shaped it from the very beginning. The proposal powerpoint was a detailed mood board of not only the florals, but the overall vibe and design for the wedding. For the bride or groom, like me, who was overwhelmed with how to make a wedding feel cohesive, personal, and intentionally designed, trust in Naomi to help jump start that process and hire her as one of your early vendors. Flawless logistics and professionalism: Working with N&V was completely stress free because Naomi and her team are true professionals. She was respectful of our budget, had a clear, well-structured contract, and payment through her professional portal was incredibly easy. Everything was delivered, set-up, and cleaned up flawlessly and on-time. Importantly, if there were any issues day-of, we didn’t hear about it or take on any of that stress (though with her careful planning, I bet there weren’t any fires to put out!) While these sound like boring logistics, all of this professional preparation on N&V’s part saved us a ton of time and stress wedding planning. Positivity and good energy: Naomi herself is the warmest and most effusively positive person - that was clear from our very first consultation call with her and was even more true on the day of our wedding. We felt showered in positivity throughout our experience working with her, which is exactly what you want on your big day! We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Nectar and Vessel, and specifically, Naomi and her wonderful team. Hire her early, trust her to work her magic and give her all the creative control, and then watch your wedding venue transform. We strive to let each bloom express its personality in arrangements that are unique and harmonious. “I cant say enough wonderful things about Abby and Florio Flowers! Abby and her team created the most beautiful florals for our wedding in Westhampton Beach, they truly made the day feel like everything I had dreamed of on my pinterst board for the last 10 years. Walking into our ceremony and seeing the baskets full of fully blooming hydrangeas was such a special moment. She took my vision of a coastal elegant hamptons wedding and brought it to life! She went above and beyond for our sweetheart table and centerpieces. One of my favorite parts was hearing all my guests tell us how gorgeous the flowers were all night long. From the beginnning, they were so kind, responsive and easy to communicate with. Abby made the planning process feel seamless, personal and I felt confident that everything was in great hands. They even traveled from Massachusetts to Long Island for our wedding. Im so grateful to Florio Flowers for helping make one of the most important days of our lives so beautiful and memorable. Their attention to detail, talent and excellent communication made the entire experience stress free from start to finish. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to any bride looking for a florist who creates breathtaking arrangements and is truly a joy to work with.”
