  • Starts at $3,500
  • Serves Santa Monica, CA

Authentic documentary wedding photography for couples who value real emotions over perfect poses. Honest, timeless images with a film - inspired feel, capturing the quiet moments, genuine connections, and meaningful details that make your wedding day uniquely yours.

“We cannot say enough great things about Igor. Choosing a wedding photographer was one of the most important decisions for us, and he completely exceeded every expectation. From the very beginning, Igor was incredibly easy to work with. He was responsive, professional, and really took the time to understand what we wanted. On the wedding day, he brought such a calm and positive energy that made everything feel effortless. He guided us when needed but also captured so many natural, candid moments without us even realizing it. What truly sets Igor apart is his ability to tell a story through his photos. Every image feels intentional, emotional, and beautifully composed. Nothing feels forced or overly posed. Looking through our gallery felt like reliving the entire day all over again. We also got so many compliments from our guests about how great he was to work with. He made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera, which really shows in the photos. If you are looking for a wedding photographer who is talented, professional, and genuinely cares about capturing your day in the most authentic way, we highly recommend Igor. Hiring him was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.”

Bedrosian Photo
Rating: 5.0 (38 reviews)
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves Santa Monica, CA

I’m Peter, the guy behind Bedrosian Photo. I photograph weddings, people, parties, emotion, chaos, and all the weird little moments in between. I care way more about honesty than perfection — the nervous energy before a ceremony, your drunk uncle on the dance floor, your grandma crying quietly in the corner, or the split-second look your partner gives you when they think nobody’s watching. Those moments matter more than anything staged ever could.

Awarded Best of Zola
“I have nothing but amazing things to say about our experience with Peter as our wedding photographer! He photographed both our engagement shoot and our wedding—and at a very reasonable price. When we first met Peter at the engagement shoot, my fiancé and I were a little nervous and unsure of how to pose. But Peter immediately made us feel comfortable with his calm, friendly presence and clear direction. He struck the perfect balance—guiding us without making anything feel stiff or forced. The photos turned out beautifully: natural, candid, and exactly what we had hoped for. When the wedding came around a few months later, Peter completely blew us away. Not only did he capture stunning photos of me and my husband, but he also took so many incredible shots of our friends and family. Everyone was thrilled—and we received so many compliments from guests about how much they loved their photos. The detail shots of the venue and decor were so breathtaking that my husband literally said, “THAT’S our wedding?” when he saw them. Peter has an amazing eye for detail and an incredible ability to capture not just moments, but the emotion and personality within them. I’m so happy we chose Peter—he gave us photos we will cherish for the rest of our lives. So will our friends and family. If you’re considering him for your wedding, do it. You won’t regret it! PS: forgot to add that he got the beautiful photos to us so quickly and gave us a very easy to use link to access them.”

Gabbie Burseth Photo
Rating: 5.0 (14 reviews)
Santa Monica, CA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $7,200

Gabbie Burseth grew up documenting everything and saving mementos in empty Christmas boxes. After studying at the Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia, she discovered an affinity for weddings and their accompanying treasures. Her philosophy as a wedding photographer is to observe with as little interference as possible — no faking it, no do-overs, no “for the camera”. Her biggest desire is for couples to be present at their wedding, not stuck in a photoshoot. Her work is punctuated by rich and vibrant color, the timeless quality of analog film, and a sense of humor found in fleeting moments.

Awarded Best of Zola
“For our wedding experience, my husband and I were looking for a photographer that specialized in candids— someone who was focused on capturing natural moments versus the formal, posed ones. Gabbie delivered. She photographed our at-home engagement session, our typhoon-ridden wedding day, and threw in a post-wedding session for free due to circumstances out of our control on the wedding day. Our venue was not prepared for the day to be rained out, so there was minor chaos that I learned of after the fact. Gabbie and her second shooter never let on to any mishaps or miscommunications on the venue’s behalf and fought through the absolute freezing rain with us all day. We deeply cherish all of the photos she took… from us dancing together in the kitchen of our first home, to us bundled up under an umbrella, kissing in the rain after the ceremony, to priceless images of our friends and family breaking it down on the dance floor at the reception, and to the bridal portraits she took of us months after the wedding when she wasn’t satisfied with what we were able to get on the actual wedding day. We have nothing but great things to say about Gabbie and would highly recommend!”

**PSA: Please inquire via email/website instead of through Zola!** I'm Brittney, a wedding and portrait photographer from Los Angeles. I'm also a ceramicist, houseplant enthusiast, traveler (no place is too far), enneagram 4, ice cream lover, and introvert fascinated by human emotion. Photographing weddings has truly been my dream job, and I feel so honored every time I'm invited to capture intimate moments in peoples’ lives.

Awarded Best of Zola
“Brittney is EVERYTHING. She shot my sister’s shore wedding and delivered such gorgeous photos, we knew we needed her for our wedding! We were married in Punta Cana and Brittney made all the photography/destination logistics SO EASY. Looking at our photos, you would have no idea that Brittney only saw the location the day before our wedding. She captured the beach location perfectly. But where Brittney truly sets herself apart from other photographers is in her ability to capture candid moments. Looking through our wedding album is so emotional because the photos perfectly reflect how everyone was feeling throughout the day. And finally, I cannot write a review that captures her skill without mentioning her as a person. Brittney is kind, fun, and sensitive. She has such a calm presence during your wedding that she disappears into the background (this is how she is able to capture so many candid moments). Since my wedding, she has continued to be a thoughtful friend who is always down for a coffee date. I love Brittney. Hiring her was the single most important decision I made for my wedding!”

I film weddings because I’m obsessed with memory. Not the posed stuff — the in-between moments. The way your partner looks at you when no one’s watching. Your grandma dancing. The second before you walk down the aisle. At Tache Weddings, we capture photo, video, and Super 8 with a documentary, fashion-forward style. I care more about how your day felt than how it looked on Pinterest. If you’re looking for someone who hypes you up, holds space, and gives you a film that feels like a love letter — I got you.

“Attach Creative was the perfect choice for our wedding videograph. From the moment we first connected, the team at attach creative had a fun, efficient, and insightful communication style that made us feel comfortable and informed throughout the entire process. They were truly caring and made us feel like friends we'd known our whole lives. Betsy is a lifestyle, wedding, and music photographer based in Los Angeles. She discovered photography as a creative outlet while studying theater at USC. Shortly after graduation, Betsy was hired as the tour photographer for Maroon 5 and documented 34 concerts across the country. Since then, Betsy has been on the road with One Direction, One Republic, Charlie Puth, and most recently Trevor Noah. Betsy's eye for candid moments and storytelling has led to photographing weddings around the world. She lives for documenting life and love through the lens. Betsy looks forward to hearing from you and bringing your vision to life!

“I am writing this review wayyyy too late (over 2 years after my engagement photos were taken) and it has been eating me away inside because I need to give Betsy all the love and praise she deserves. Betsy photographed our engagement photos and would have done our wedding as well if she wasn’t already booked. As a wedding planner myself, I had worked with Betsy previously and she was always so fun, easy to work with and matched my energy on every level! She gets so excited when she knows she is ‘getting the shot’ that you can’t help but get excited too. I had a very specific vision for our engagement photos and she was 100% on board to make it happen. I love the photos so much and will treasure them forever as they document a very exciting time in our lives. I absolutely love working with Betsy and will definitely be booking her again in the future!”

Izida Lukmanova Photography

  • Starts at $3,000

Welcome. I love being a wedding photographer! I like to capture the true emotions and personality of my couples. Nothing can beat the magic of looking at the wedding photos 5, 10, 15+ years after your wedding day and still experience all the feelings. This is my goal with every wedding I photograph.

“Izida was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From our very first interaction doing engagement photos to the wedding day, Izida's communication was clear, concise and friendly, putting us at ease throughout the entire planning process. On the day of our wedding, Izida and her team were incredibly organized and experienced, helping us work through a (very) large family to ensure we got all the shots we needed. The preview photos she provided just days after the wedding were absolutely stunning - Izida has a true talent for capturing beautiful, natural moments. We were blown away by the quality and value of Izida's work, and are so grateful to have such amazing photos to remember our special day. We highly recommend Izida Lukmanova Photography to any couple looking for an exceptional wedding photography experience.”

Danielle Rouillard Photography
Santa Monica, CA
  • Starts at $4,000

The best way that I can describe myself is that I am a "dog person" when I'm out and a "cat person" behind the scenes. As a digital and film photographer, I'm very interested in unique and varied light scenarios that incorporate unique backdrops and angles. I have been working as a professional photographer for over 5 years and there is not a day where I don't find myself learning something new about it, and that to me is part of the joy. I strive for imagery that makes your eyes linger, incorporating equal parts creative beauty and technical skill. My images have been featured by GQ Magazine, David's Bridal, AirBNB, Chubbies, and more.

“10/10 Nick and I had the pleasure of working with Lulan and Sarah on our wedding day. They were exactly on time and prepared. They were so attentive, patient, and responsive to us. Never intrusive or demanding. Their direction felt very easy and natural; it made the unnatural process of taking hundreds of photos feel so seamless and easy. I loved that they took advantage of the space and venue. They have such a fantastic eye for composition and scale - my favorites are the wide shots that capture the cityscape behind. Their photos feel so timeless but fitting for the venue. We could not be happier with the results. I could not recommend Lulan and his team more. They were responsive to all of my questions throughout the planning process. Thank you to Lulan and Sarah for capturing our special day and giving us so many memories to cherish!”

“We loved working with Murtaza and the MKEShoots team for our 6-event Indian wedding, plus engagement shoot. His passion for the art was so infectious, especially since it was our first time doing professional photos. It took us some time to warm up to the camera, but once we did, well, the pictures really speak for themselves. Murtaza especially has an incredible eye for creative photo ideas, and he and the team made it so much fun even though we were stressed out with all the wedding drama. They scoped out noteworthy outdoor locations that made amazing backdrops, helped corral family members together for group photos, and just generally went above & beyond to make sure we had coverage of all the important moments - all the big things and the small details too. The photos we ended up with were beyond what I imagined, I'm thrilled with how they turned out. Now, I just need someone to help put the wedding album together.... :)”

Randall de Leon Photography

  • Serves Santa Monica, CA

Photography has always been a lifelong passion of mine, I picked up my first camera as a gift from my dad when I was 14 years old. Never in a million years would I have thought that my lifelong hobby could eventually become my career. I focused on my future, working my way through college and grad school to achieve my license to practice, but a part of me realized that I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to go on adventures and meet a lot of new people. So in 2019, I took that risk, changed my hours from full time to part time and put more focus on my photography. I booked my first gig later that year and have never looked back.

Awarded Best of Zola
“We are so grateful to have had Randall as our photographer for both our engagement and wedding day. From start to finish, he was a dream to work with professional, warm, and so thoughtful in his approach. For our engagement session, we wanted to recreate the Japan vibes since we got engaged there, but we weren’t sure how Little Tokyo in Downtown LA would translate in photos. Randall completely exceeded our expectations. Between the Venice Canals and Little Tokyo, he perfectly captured the aesthetic we were hoping for, and the final shots were stunning. On our wedding day, Randall went above and beyond. He made my bridal party feel so at ease his presence was calm, kind, and unobtrusive, which helped all of us relax and enjoy every moment. He captured everything: the big, emotional highlights and all the small, beautiful in-between moments. Now we have a gallery full of memories that we’ll treasure forever. If you’re looking for a photographer who is incredibly talented, easy to work with, and genuinely cares about delivering your vision: Randall is it!!! We couldn’t be happier!”

My name is Sergio. My wife Desirée and I run LOVE by Sergirée together out of Los Angeles. I have been behind a camera for 15 years and weddings are where I do my best work. I shoot every wedding personally and edit every gallery myself, so what you see in our portfolio is exactly what you get. Desirée leads everything you cannot see, from the first email to the final album. Whether you are planning an intimate ceremony or a celebration with a full guest list, our approach is the same. Be present. Be honest. Let the moment unfold.

“From the initial communication all the way to the delivery of the photos, Sergirée were great to work with. They were super friendly, patient, and flexible with the entire process. During my actual wedding/celebrations, Sergio just had a chill and approachable demeanor about him that I really appreciated. Our wedding wasn't the most structured, so I was worried about getting the "right" shots, but Sergio was great at guiding for poses, and just always at the right place at the right time to catch so many beautiful moments. Also, they work super fast! We received our highlight shots and full gallery very quickly. Book them!!”

I took up photography at the ripe age of 11 with a Polaroid I borrowed from an aunt. It quickly became my sketchbook as I worked to capture stills of the world and people around me. Those images have continued to pay emotional dividends throughout my life, helping me better understand what I have now come to see through a new scope. They are grounding, melancholic, funny and beautiful. Some of my most cherished possessions.

Awarded Best of Zola
“Choosing Daniel from Indigo West as our wedding photographer was hands down one of the best decisions we made. From our first conversation, we loved his calm, thoughtful demeanor and his organic, artistic approach to capturing the day. His eye for composition and detail is exceptional and the photos truly tell a story. As a same-sex couple, we wanted someone who could move beyond traditional wedding clichés, capture the grandeur of our museum venue (complete with dinosaur skeletons) while making it feel intimate, and handle dark, dramatic spaces. Daniel did all of that and more. He captured the energy, emotion, laughter, and joy of the day beautifully. Daniel was efficient but never rushed. He was professional yet playful, and it felt like he immediately understood our dynamic as a couple and with our guests. We trusted his vision completely, and it absolutely shows in the photos. Most importantly, Daniel brought such a fun, relaxed energy—it never felt like he was just doing a job. We can’t recommend him enough.”

Leave it to us and make the 2nd best decision of your life, after choosing to marry your loved one, of course :)

“We recently received our photos and video package from Aladdin Films and we couldn't be happier with the results. Their documentary film was extraordinary—it let us relive our wedding day in a way that felt genuine and special. The team responded quickly to all our questions and kept everything professional from start to finish, which made the planning process smooth. Towards the end of the night, we realized we never signed our marriage license. When I asked Ali if they could stay for a few extra minutes to capture those moments, they agreed without hesitation. All our photos and videos came back on time and are truly beautiful. One thing we wish is that they had been a bit more assertive when organizing our family photos as we didn't end up with every shot/ family groupings requested on our list. We do have a larger family which can also lead towards more chaos as you can imagine. Of course part of this was a timing issue as all photos with bride and groom together needed to be done within cocktail hour as we did not do a first look. Overall, Aladdin Films delivered exactly what we needed to remember our special day and we were absolutely thrilled with our choice to work with them. I would definitely recommend Ali and the team going forward.”
