*The best way to get in contact with us is through our website!* Hi! I’m Sara, the founder of Fern & Fable, a Central MA–based studio that travels all over New England. Everything I do is tailored to you, which means we get to tell your story through the florals you love — nothing ordinary. Through Fern & Fable, I’m always excited at the prospect of bringing people’s floral visions to life with creativity and warmth.

“I cannot recommend hiring Fern & Fable for any floral needs, but particularly for your wedding. Sara was professional, organized, and highly communicative. I didn’t have a lot in mind for what I envisioned for the florals but with what little I gave her she managed to create absolutely stunning bouquets and bar pieces with beautiful colors and textures. My wedding was moved inside a tent due to a Nor’Easter, and Sara transformed the entire space into a warm, cozy, truly magical environment. I cannot recommend her enough!!”

“I had been dreaming of working with Emily Day long before I was even engaged and I am so thrilled that my experience with her was even better than I dreamed of. I think the photos speak for themselves for her artistry, but her collaboration and help leading up the the wedding was so, so appreciated, especially as last minute we were hit with an early Nor'easter, causing us to scramble and change up all our careful plans. Despite the dreary weather, her florals made the day so colorful and warm.”

The Faux Bouquets
Rating: 5.0 (44 reviews)
  • Serves Shrewsbury, MA

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
“Use The Faux Bouquets! I know there are a lot of options out there for faux florals, but this company really stands out. Absolutely gorgeous selections. We chose one of the more basic options because of our color scheme but there were so many more stunning, fun and colorful options out there as well! We used them for the bouquets and boutonnieres and it made life so easy. No need to worry about the flowers staying alive or getting water stains on your dresses. We had everything in bins ready to go before wedding day. Great pricing. The bouquets are so full and you can see the thought that goes into choosing the colors, type, and placement of each flower. The company communication is quick, kind, informative, and they are just all around amazing!”

“Althea Floral Design & Julian were an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the moment we first spoke with Julian, we were impressed by his thoughtful and excited approach. It is clear that he is doing what he loves. The quality of their work was truly stunning - the flowers they provided for our rehearsal dinner were beautiful, and when I mentioned a couple of (very in-season and popular) flowers I wasn't crazy about, Julian immediately pulled them and pivoted with no issues. On the wedding day, the flowers could not have been more perfect. I was obsessed with the wall of windows covered with flowers and candles. Also the welcome sign and the two floral displays at the alter were gorgeous. Julian was so easy to work with and did an amazing job putting the whole space together. Our guests were thrilled to take home their own little bundles of the gorgeous florals at the end of the night. We are so grateful to Althea Floral Design & Julian for helping to make our special day truly perfect!”

“When I was looking for floral vendors for my July 2024 wedding in Block Island, I came across Ayla’s Instagram, and I knew immediately I had to work with her. I fell in love with the whimsical, natural, English-garden vibe of her florals, and I just thought she was the coolest person. From the first conversation we had, it felt like she “got” me, suggesting flowers, designs, and concepts better than I could possibly articulate myself. She was incredibly thoughtful putting together multiple proposals that fit our vision and our budget. The entire planning process couldn’t have been easier because of how sweet, communicative, and easy Ayla was to work with. Cut to the wedding day, and I was honestly speechless seeing her work come to life in our tent. Ayla is an ARTIST. She created a gorgeous 65 ft table runner for our head table that was so dreamy I still think about it. The bouquets were exactly what I was looking for - natural and simple but packed a stunning punch. Then there was the tent entrance installation, which was so beautiful on its own but also so thoughtfully designed to enhance the view and setting of our venue. Multiple guests came up to me on the wedding day (and even in the weeks afterwards) commenting on how the florals were some of the most unique and beautiful they had seen. I truly could go on and on. Ayla and her amazing team at shade studio exceeded every expectation a million times over. Hands down, Ayla is the best and I couldn’t recommend her more.”

Your wedding flowers should do more than decorate a room. They should make you feel something long after the day is over. I'm Tara, the grower and designer behind Peterson's Patch, a flower farm and wedding studio in Sterling, Connecticut. My style is nature-inspired and a little moody: calm with a touch of drama, like an English garden by the sea. The most beautiful weddings begin with trust. Hand me your vision and I'll guide you through every decision, so that when you see your flowers for the first time, you feel peace, joy, and complete confidence. Every couple and every kind of love is welcome here. I'd love to hear about your day.

“Peterson's Patch, LLC made our October wedding feel so special. Tara was friendly and responsive throughout the whole process, and she really listened to what we wanted. When she learned I was growing marigolds for garlands, she grew extra big beautiful ones just for us. We loved that all the flowers were in season and native to the area—they felt fresh and vibrant in a way that mattered to us. The quality of her work was top-notch and the value was incredible. We're so grateful to Tara for helping make our day exactly what we imagined.”

“Working with Naomi for our wedding florals was a DREAM and an exceptional experience from start to finish. We cannot recommend her and her team at Nectar and Vessel highly enough to other couples getting married. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was hiring Naomi and her team and giving her complete creative freedom. She took that freedom, and spun floral magic into the most beautifully designed space we have ever seen. Her love for florals, and for creating beautiful moments for others shines in her work - and isn’t that what you want on your wedding day? To be surrounded by love through flowers that all your guests can feel? That’s the magic Naomi brings to weddings that is impossible to replicate. The floral designs and artistry that Naomi and her team created for our day were simply stunning. Beyond being beautiful, they were unique and felt personal to us. It was the talk of the wedding that none of the guests had ever seen a display like the florals at our wedding, and that each tablescape and design felt like a work of art. A few things additional things about working with N&V we’d like to highlight: Design and vision: Naomi not only executed a vision for our wedding florals and design, she shaped it from the very beginning. The proposal powerpoint was a detailed mood board of not only the florals, but the overall vibe and design for the wedding. For the bride or groom, like me, who was overwhelmed with how to make a wedding feel cohesive, personal, and intentionally designed, trust in Naomi to help jump start that process and hire her as one of your early vendors. Flawless logistics and professionalism: Working with N&V was completely stress free because Naomi and her team are true professionals. She was respectful of our budget, had a clear, well-structured contract, and payment through her professional portal was incredibly easy. Everything was delivered, set-up, and cleaned up flawlessly and on-time. Importantly, if there were any issues day-of, we didn’t hear about it or take on any of that stress (though with her careful planning, I bet there weren’t any fires to put out!) While these sound like boring logistics, all of this professional preparation on N&V’s part saved us a ton of time and stress wedding planning. Positivity and good energy: Naomi herself is the warmest and most effusively positive person - that was clear from our very first consultation call with her and was even more true on the day of our wedding. We felt showered in positivity throughout our experience working with her, which is exactly what you want on your big day! We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Nectar and Vessel, and specifically, Naomi and her wonderful team. Hire her early, trust her to work her magic and give her all the creative control, and then watch your wedding venue transform. “We absolutely loved working with Abby!! She was so sweet and incredibly creative and talented. She took the vision I had in my head and brought it to life even better than I imagined. During the planning process, communication was always great, and when I added a few things last minute, she was incredibly accommodating and made everything feel completely seamless. Delivery and setup were perfect, and we didn’t have to worry about a thing on our wedding day. One of my core wedding memories was when Abby showed me my bridal and bridesmaids boutique. It was so cool to see everything come to life. We received so many compliments on the flowers, and our guests were genuinely so impressed. Even the staff at our farewell brunch said, "we've seen a lot of wedding day florals used for the morning after brunch, and these may just be the most beautiful florals we've seen." I’m so grateful we chose Abby to be part of our wedding day. I couldn’t recommend her enough!”

“You don’t come across someone with this much dedication, passion, craftsmanship, knowledge, and genuine love for their art often. Ashley is truly gifted in all things florals, and every piece she made for me, including my trials, had my jaw drop and moved my family to tears. She puts her heart into every flower she tends to, and you can see it in the intricacies of her work. She’s an artist, and these are her little masterpieces. I’ve grown to respect florals on a new level thanks to her. She knows so much about each flower (even their science names!), how to pair textures, coordinate colors, balance shapes and sizes—she’s making a work of art. So in terms of honoring your vision and creating something magical, trust Ashley with your whole heart. Now comes to the administrative work. Just when I thought I couldn’t love Ashley more, she created slide deck presentations (oh yes, you read that right) on what I was looking for/my inspo, provided updated proposals every time I added something new to my ask, triple-checked any time I made a change, and was extremely communicative, professional, and responsive. My fastest vendor when it came to email. And I’ll admit, I wasn’t an easy client. I went from having no wedding party to having 5 bridesmaids and 5 groomsmen. I went from no ceremony florals to decorating the whole aisle. (I couldn’t help myself since Ashley has such reasonable prices I could actually afford my dream florals, but also once again, my trials were so beautiful, I couldn’t resist). I changed colors, visions, ideas, and emailed her more times than I can count over the course of many months, and Ashley followed it to a T and kept track of it all. Ashley showed up to a walkthrough at my venue that was super far just to get to know the space and guide where florals would work best, taking notes, asking questions, and going above and beyond. She didn't need to do that for us. She did anyway. She kept up with all my asks and updates flawlessly. And on the day, she nailed every single item from boutonniere to bud vase. Side notes: I had a rosary blessed by the Pope for my wedding, and Ashley handled it with such respect, integrity, and reverence. That says a lot about a person. My mom, who has worked in florals and crafts for a long time, was speechless when she saw the work Ashley created. When she looked at the internal workings and weaving, she noted just how much time she must have spent handcrafting my floral crown. When I was walking out with my trial bouquet, I literally had a stranger stop me in my tracks to ask where on Earth I got such beautiful florals and if he can get some himself. Every time we met, Ashley would bring a little bouquet for me, which was such a cute gesture. I secretly dried all of them to keep. And finally, Ashley herself. She is caring, tender, sweet, creative, and extremely hardworking. We believe she is blessed by God Himself lol. (But actually, though. She has a gift.) Her talent is unbelievable. I had a special request for a floral crown, and it was THE talk of the night. People would come over and poke it because they couldn’t believe it was real. Ultimately, if there were more vendors like Ashley, there would be much happier, less stressed brides in the world. And if there were more people like Ashley in general, the world would be a better place. I will miss her. Enjoy her and her florals for me. Let them take your breath away, they will.”
