Fountainhead Floral Design
Rating: 4.9 (54 reviews)
  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Waterbury, CT
  • Offer

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

“Kate at Fountainhead Floral Design was absolutely incredible to work with. From the beginning, she created a vision board that captured exactly what I was hoping for and was so personable and easy to collaborate with throughout the process. I trusted her with creative control, and she truly shined. She brought my vision to life in a way that exceeded anything I could have imagined. We were married on 9.13.25 at Eolia Mansion, and despite a very tight setup window, Kate and her team executed everything perfectly. My wedding bouquet was absolutely stunning and exactly what I dreamed of. Every floral detail felt thoughtful and intentional. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience, and I would recommend Kate and Fountainhead Floral Design without hesitation to anyone looking for a florist who is creative, professional, and truly talented.”

“Tracy is amazing!!! Our wedding flowers were absolutely stunning, and she made the whole process so easy and fun. She was incredibly attentive and detail-oriented, taking the time to really understand my vision, hopping on multiple calls, and even coming for a site visit. She brought my vision to life in a way that fit flawlessly with our overall design. What really stood out was how thoughtful she was about incorporating family heirlooms and relics, something that was a focal point in our wedding. She found the most beautiful ways to repurpose old vases, barrels, pots, and more into the arrangements, which made everything feel so personal and meaningful. Tracy was such a joy to work with. The flowers were gorgeous - our guests commented on them all night - and they lasted for over a week afterward, which made it even more special to keep enjoying them!”

“Our wedding flowers were absolutely above and beyond. Gabriele's Hand Designs is my mom's business so I am familiar with the quality of her work, but despite this I was still blown away by the quality and beauty of our wedding's flower arrangements. They perfectly captured the urban fairy-tale style I was going for and Gabriele crafted a unique look based on the colors palette I shared, preferred flower types (I knew I wanted roses) and Pinterest boards shared. She did the hard part of making it all come together into lively, whimsical creations that captured our wedding vibe perfectly. In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

“I ordered the "peaches and cream" small package. We decided to skip on ceremony florals, and only have handhelds and bud vases at the reception. We did buy a few more flowers from the grocery to add more peach once the flowers arrived. We made and medium sized bridal bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 3 corsages, and 7 bouts. (With lots of flowers left over). My bridesmaids and I did the arranging the morning before the wedding; it was fun, and a great start to the weekend. None of us had experience, but it all turned out great! If you or your bridal party are mildly crafty, I'd highly recommend it!”

Throughout the whole planning process Shannon was so easy to communicate with and always had very prompt, timely responses. She was able to take my thoughts and visions bring them together and to life. She was very detail oriented down to having me select ribbons and vessels for our bouquets and florals. She sourced the most beautiful candles and bud vases for us as well. We had some last minute cancellations and cut down 2 tables and she worked with us to reallocate what we had paid for those tables to florals elsewhere in the space to not lose out. On our day there was so much love and hugging the groomsmen boutonnieres were falling off before the ceremony and she made new ones for all of them and placed them on.
