Silk & Shadows began with an unlikely partnership: a magician with a flair for drama and a project manager who likes everything running on schedule. Turns out, weddings require a healthy dose of both. We're a Portland-based wedding planning and coordination studio serving Oregon and Washington. We have a weakness for whimsical settings, romantic atmosphere, theatrical details, and traditions with an unexpected twist. But we're just as happy working on a sunny garden wedding as a candlelit Victorian affair. Along with planning and coordination, we offer officiating, vow writing, décor, and specialty rentals. Between the two of us, there's plenty of creativity, organization, and occasional theatrical mischief.

I was always that person involved in planning school dances and in charge of spirit weeks. When I was younger I thought I would be some sort of artist. Life took me into the direction of working in corporate but somehow wedding planning fell into my path. It combines my natural ability of logical thinking and creative eye. I’ve coordinated for large-scale 250+ weddings and small, intimate elopements. No matter the scale, I know each wedding requires lots of dedication and hard work to bring to life.
