EC Matrimony
Rating: 5.0 (37 reviews)
  • Offers 10 ceremony types
  • Starts at $150
  • Serves Moro, OR

A Portland native, and founder of EC Matrimony, Ernie has become an expert in all things weddings. Having recently stepped away from a career in Marketing/Public Relations, Ernie has taken his business from part-time to full-time in 2021 to help more couples realize their wedding dreams. Throughout his 18 years in the industry, and having performed over 3,000 weddings, it’s easy to see why he’s been featured in bridal magazines, national IG posts, and been featured in Huffington Post twice, and on realty TV. Add to that the dozens of national awards he’s won over the years, and you can tell why he’s in demand as a wedding officiant.

We had such a wonderful experience with Don Gloud as our wedding officiant! From the very beginning, Don was incredibly responsive and organized, which made the entire planning process smooth and stress-free. His professionalism and warmth truly stood out. His wife and assistant, Dodie, was equally amazing. She has an incredible eye for detail and made sure everything was perfectly arranged for our special day—even down to coordinating Don’s tie with our wedding colors, which was such a thoughtful touch! Don himself was so kind and genuine, and he performed a ceremony that was deeply meaningful and personal to us. One of my favorite things was his speaking voice—it was calm, engaging, and added such a special touch to the ceremony. We couldn’t have asked for a better officiant team. Highly recommend Don and Dodie to anyone looking to make their wedding day truly unforgettable!

Hi! My name is Anna Soco (she/her) and I'm the PNW's premiere Queer wedding officiant and believer in love. My work is rooted in the belief that love is alive, communal, and transformative - and because of that, your wedding ceremony should be, too! I work with soulmates of all kinds to create ceremonies that reflect what truly matters most to you. My clients (y'all!) are my "co" - each new client relationship is an opportunity to learn more about love, together. I adore, appreciate, and learn from each and every one of you. And I never quit rooting for my couples!

Anna Socolofsky was such a dream officiant. She brought the kind of mature, strong, knowing presence to our time working together and to our wedding that made us feel so held and allowed us to stand in our power. Any wedding nerves fell away because it was like walking into this next season of life with someone who was there to support and help you trust your own strength. She not only worked with our psychotically short time frame but brought a focus on queer love and joy to our wedding that was so vital and important to us. We did a very intimate small casual wedding but having her presence brought the cohesion that the ceremony needed to make it feel like a ritual and not just a backyard party. We will always remember working with her with fondness and recommend her to so many in our community.

Anthony is a licensed attorney who started officiating weddings in Oregon as a Judge (hence our company’s former name, The Wedding Judge). Matrimony Northwest has expanded in the 15 years since Anthony officiated his first wedding and has added two additional officiants—Emily and Henry. The three of them have officiated thousands of weddings in the Pacific Northwest in all different types of venues - back yards, courtrooms, coffee shops, beaches, mountain vistas, and more. Anthony is only the second person to have officiated a wedding in the Oregon State Capitol Building, and the only person to do so in modern times.

We could not have asked for a better officiant (Anthony)! From the very beginning, he made us feel comfortable and truly took the time to understand who we are as a couple. The ceremony was everything we dreamed of… heartfelt, personal, and perfectly balanced with just the right touch of humor and warmth. Our guests are still telling us how beautiful and meaningful the ceremony was, and we owe that to the care, professionalism, and genuine kindness of our officiant. He captured our story in such a special way and set the perfect tone for the day. We are beyond grateful and would recommend him a million times over!

I truly can’t say enough about Wendy Duncan. Young Hip & Married were excellent wedding officiants to work with. They demonstrated a compassionate communication style and had a deep understanding of the wedding ceremony process, always keeping the focus on the love that binds couples together. For our ceremony, they sent the couple a survey about how they met, and then crafted a personalized ceremony that I delivered as the officiant. The ceremony was nearly flawless, with just a brief pause when their young daughter momentarily interrupted. Overall, the ceremony was very well-received, with dozens of guests telling me afterwards what an awesome job I did. I highly recommend Young Hip & Married to any couple looking for a wedding officiant who will create a meaningful and memorable ceremony.

Zaira Flores Marin, Bilingual Ceremony Officiant
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
  • Offers 10 ceremony types
  • Starts at $200
  • Serves Moro, OR

I’m passionate about working with diverse and interfaith couples who want their ceremonies to reflect who they are in full color. Love is not one-size-fits-all, and neither should be the moment you say “I do.” I collaborate to ensure your ceremony feels personal, flexible, and true to your hearts. Every ceremony I craft is designed to make couples feel seen, celebrated, and supported. Some include bilingual vows, English, Spanish, or Spanglish, so family feels included. Others honor traditions like arras, lazo, or unity candles. Still others create new rituals unique to their story. Let’s create a ceremony that reflects your unique love.

Choosing Zaira as our wedding officiant was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. From our very first conversation, she made us feel comfortable and supported. She was professional, thoughtful, informative, and always willing to answer our questions and guide us through every step of the process. Our bilingual ceremony was everything we hoped for and more. She made both languages flow so naturally, making everyone feel included and connected. Her warmth, kindness, and genuine positive energy made the ceremony feel so personal and full of love. After the wedding, so many of our family and friends told us how beautiful the ceremony was and how much they loved Zaira. They kept mentioning her positive vibes, how engaging she was, and how she made the ceremony feel heartfelt and memorable. We're so thankful that Zaira was such an important part of our special day. She helped create one of our favorite memories, and we truly couldn't imagine anyone else marrying us. We wholeheartedly recommend her to any couple looking for an officiant who genuinely cares and brings so much love and joy to your wedding.

I can do your wedding vows in your home, my home (inside or outside), in a church, at one of our awesome NW beaches, on a mountain, at a lake, on a motorcycle, or on a horse—if that's what you both want. I would be honored to be a part of your special day. I've been officiating for over 19 years now and have married over 1600 happy couples! Take a look at my Website for my reviews from over the years...

BJ was so lovely to work with. I initially met her at the Portland Expo and after talking in person, I knew she would fit well into our wedding. She understood what kind of a couple we are and led our ceremony exactly as we wanted. She communicated via text and phone and was very easy to keep in contact with. We had a ceremony time change a month before the wedding and she happily adjusted her schedule. Sam and I are thankful we had BJ to usher us into our next journey.

I create completely custom wedding ceremonies for couples who want something personal, meaningful, spiritual, and magical. With 20+ years of experience in mindfulness, ritual, public speaking, storytelling, and personal growth, I craft each ceremony around your story, values, humor, and vision. From heartfelt and simple to ancient traditions, handfasting, nature-based rituals, meditation, or even a mead ceremony, I love working with creative, adventurous, spiritual, fantasy-loving, and nontraditional couples.

Aaron was wonderful to work with and brought such a unique, enchanting energy to our Dragon Kids Camp. He was professional, dependable, easy to communicate with, and immediately connected with the kids.
