“(Full disclaimer: This was before Jill’s prices went up.) I originally was looking for a day-of-coordinator for my wedding because my budget at the time was under 1k for one, but Jill gave me a great deal at the time to be a full on wedding planner as she was just starting her business. And I’m glad I went with that option because I didn’t realize how much goes into the type of wedding I wanted. If you’re having a wedding that has over 110 guests and has a lot of moving parts- you need to hire a wedding planner (with an assistant ideally). In hindsight, I think I would have paid a little extra for an assistant as well because there were some details in the reception that were overlooked-through no one’s fault- just a lot was going on that day. Thankfully, none of the guests noticed these missing details (Like the customized dessert bags that were never used, or candy that were still in boxes, the heaters not being put up on time -This was a November wedding, and the wedding cake missing its decorative flowers). But this was a learning experience, and overall, I’m thankful to have had Jill by my side, because I think things would have been much worse if I didn’t have her help. At one point, a second mariachi band showed up announced, but that was taken care of lol. I’m not sure what other wedding planners do, but I was happy that Jill allowed me the freedom to come up with the vision and design for my wedding, while she took care of the logistics and planning- like arranging video call meetups w/ the vendors and venue which helped a lot. It also helped that her schedule was flexible despite some personal family emergencies that happened during the process. I’m sure once her business grows more she will be able to get the extra help needed to plan much bigger, more fantastical weddings! Overall, I would recommend Jill as a wedding planner: She’s very down-to-earth, punctual (thank you for getting to the courthouse on time while I was running late) , professional, compassionate- took well to my notes, and concerns, and jumped to the occasion. She stayed on us about getting the things done that needed to be in the months before and was just the perfect guide throughout the entire process. Molly helped us contact our vendors as we approached wedding day and really worked a lot behind the scenes (even though she had just had a baby!). I put all my faith and trust in Molly and her husband come day-of and I (the Bride) didn’t have to stress A SINGLE THING. It was later on that I heard of a couple mishaps that happened throughout the day but neither myself or my husband even knew anything went on until days after, that’s how swiftly Molly took care of things! Also, they had added the cutest little touches to our decor the morning of that I only found out from through “before” pictures. “I’m not even sure where to begin to describe how amazing Events by McKenna is at what they do!! McKenna is the most kind, helpful, and enthusiastic person to assist you during such an important time in your life. She made sure everything went perfectly on our wedding day and every day leading up to it! When we first started our wedding planning journey, we only knew where we wanted to have it, and due to the venue location not regularly being used for weddings, we needed to outsource vendors for everything. That's where McKenna came in and helped us out by hand-picking every vendor that she knew would provide the exact things we were looking for. From catering, florals, furniture rentals, DJ, and all the little details, she knew who would be perfect for the job and she was right about every single one! “My wife and I just had a beautiful wedding ceremony and reception and owe a tremendous amount of the outcome to our wedding coordinator Joy. We were attempting to plan a fairly large wedding in a span of less than three months. After getting a venue and recommendations for vendors I set out trying to put this together. After a couple weeks I realized there was just too many things to do, and reached out and hired Joy. From that moment she took control and eased all my worries. She contacted all the vendors, put together the wedding and reception timelines all while keeping us informed and modifying things based on changes we wanted. She was most amazing on the day of the event, my wife is Filipina and a few of her bridesmaids were going on “Philippino Time”, Joy never got flustered she adjusted on the fly, worked seamlessly with our photographer who need “20 more minutes “ for some some additional photos. She adjusted everything and we completed all the things we wanted done before the reception ended. I cannot recommend her services more and can guarantee she will meet all your needs for your event.
