“My husband and I found Janice through her blog and were drawn to her transparency about an industry that can often feel opaque and hard to navigate. We met with two other potential planners, but we decided to follow our initial instinct and put our trust in Janice. She did not disappoint! Janice kept the entire planning process incredibly organized and did an amazing job of finding vendors that aligned with our (sometimes very specific) vision. Anytime we started to feel overwhelmed, Janice was ready with a detailed timeline, polite-but-firm reminder emails, and a very encouraging attitude. Janice was also very receptive and enthusiastic about helping us incorporate important cultural elements into our day that she had not had experience previously (ex. A Japanese kagami biraki ceremony). Most importantly, Janice was extremely reliable. For example, my bridesmaids and I were supposed to get our hair and make-up done at a hotel the morning of the wedding, but after we woke up to a power outage and alerted Janice, she immediately jumped into action arranging a new location and updating the beauty and photo teams about the change. She then raced over to the hotel to help me and my MOHs pack up my wedding dress, shoes, accessories, and bridesmaids gifts and convinced the concierge to let us use the emergency freight elevator so that we wouldn’t have to run down 15 flights of stairs. Her husband drove us all to the alternate location and, miraculously, all of the hair, make-up, group photos, and dressing were completed with a whopping 15 minutes to spare! Despite the early morning switch-up, the rest of the day went off without a hitch and we knew the wedding couldn’t have gone as smoothly as it did if it weren’t for Janice’s work (both in the planning and the day-of coordination). We are so glad to have hired Janice and 100% recommend Bellwether Events.”

“Our venue required a day-of coordinator, which at first we were unsure about as a general idea, thinking we "didn't need one" (ha), but we'd do it because we had to. I had a call with Ashley, who I could immediately tell was the realest and most down to earth coordinator, just what we needed. We had general visions of our day, and Ashley was terrific about guiding us on how to make it all seamless, without ever pushing us towards any particular decision, just always listening to what we personally envisioned and telling us exactly how to make it happen in the most uncomplicated, budget-friendly, yet classy ways. We had phone calls at different intervals all the way from starting planning, to the week of the wedding, which kept us on track and saved us from forgetting time-sensitive tasks. Ashley did a lot of the communication with our vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page. When Ashley shared that she would not personally be the coordinator on our wedding day, she set up a video call with Nadia, who would also be assisted by Katherine, so that we would be as comfortable as possible. Nadia and Katherine did an incredible job day-of, to the point that I'm certain I must have missed some sort of chaos that I still don't know about, because everything seemed to go completely perfect and stress-free from my and my husband's perspective. My husband and some family members (mostly guys, for what it's worth...might not have understood the "vision") brought and set up a lot of the decor in the morning, but my husband shared that Nadia and Katherine were wonderful about making things really come together. Our entire process with Plume & Pearl, and especially our wedding day, was purely joyful and low-stress thanks to the team, and I can't imagine doing this without them!”

From the moment we met, her joyful energy exuded from her and I knew that she would do everything she could to ensure we felt the same way. And she way over delivered! “I have now worked with Jessica both as a vendor for her wedding clients, and as a client of hers for my wife and I’s wedding. From start to finish Jessica does a phenomenal job of managing challenges, staying ahead of potential issues, proactively communicating, and taking great notes on check-in calls. Many times during our wedding planning process Jessica asked us about things we needed to start thinking about well in advance of when decision time was critical. This allowed us not to stress to much about decision making until the right times, but still consider things in advance so we weren’t blindsided by anything or forced to make any last-minute decisions. Jessica has a great network of vendors she has worked with but also does a great job integrating vendors she hasn’t worked with before. We had a mix of vendors she was and wasn’t familiar with for our wedding but everything ran smoothly on our wedding day, Jessica handled all the logistics so we could really enjoy our day! From the vendor perspective, I’ve worked with Jessica on several events and I can tell you as a videographer she makes planning extremely easy for the vendors participating in said event. She makes an incredible wedding website for each event that makes sure all the vendors have consistent information and up-to-date information. She also makes it easy for vendors to connect where it’s necessary to collaborate like the DJ and videographer or the caterer and the rentals team. Every wedding I have worked with Jessica on, including my own, has been a great success in large part due to her fantastic leadership, planning, and problem solving skill set!”

“We’ve said it many times during the wedding planning process and we’ll continue to shout it to the hills: hiring Kristy and her team was the best decision we’ve ever made and the best money we’ve ever spent. From the consultation and throughout the entire process Kristy was lovely to work with and incredibly friendly and personal but also always on top of everything. She flagged so many little details that we never would have thought of but led to a much smoother wedding day. Her detailed resources, templates, and documents were invaluable, but she was also flexible when I needed to make my own spreadsheets to keep everything straight in a way that worked with my brain. The timeline she created for us was a work of art and a thing of beauty and something I could have never done on my own. She included every single facet of the event from load in and load out for every vendor down to when we needed to bring our checkbook. Handing communications with vendors to her team in the last few months was amazing and definitely reduced our stress levels. While the timeline was delayed (due to another vendor), Kristy pivoted quickly and ensured that things got back on track and as close to the plan as possible. When we changed our mind on things mid-wedding (like if we wanted a more formal send off) she ensured that it was actually what we wanted but then changed to accommodate it. She also organized tear down of all the decor so that all we had to do was show up the morning after to pick up our belongings. As a queer couple, one of whom is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, Kristy and her team made us feel welcomed and affirmed for the entire process while vetting vendors to make sure they were LGBT friendly and listing our (and our wedding party’s) pronouns on resource sheets so that the whole vendor team was aware and misgendering was as limited as possible (and never by Kristy or her team). She (or a team member?) also recommended many amazing vendors to us including our amazing DJ who had the exact vibe we wanted (gay pop dance party) and ensured the dance floor was full and everyone loved the music choices. Kristy led our rehearsal like a (very nice) drill sergeant, which made it so much more efficient and effective than others I’ve been a part of. The ceremony went off without any major hitches and everyone (including 13 wedding party members, both of our parents, our officiant, and us) knew where they needed to be and when to do what. I was incredibly impressed and super grateful. It also ensured that I didn’t need to think or worry about the little details like making sure seats were reserved and that people started walking at the right time. My only regret is that we didn’t have the budget to have her team plan our rehearsal dinner as well. That experience versus the day of the wedding was a huge contrast. On the day of, I could answer every question with “ask Kristy” and she would always have the answer. As a very anxious and “type A” person I fully trusted Kristy and her team throughout the process which was wonderful for my sanity.
