Stumptown Djs
Rating: 5.0 (156 reviews)

Portland, OR
  • DJ
  • Starts at $1,500

I love my job. For me, it’s kind of two-fold. One amazing part of the job is knowing that you are part of a couple’s most memorable day of their life—and assuming it goes well, they will remember you for it for the rest of their life. The other part is that I get to run a business and listen to music—two of my deepest passions. So running a DJ company mashes it all together in one great package.

Steven was easygoing, outgoing, made everybody want to get up and dance. He was part of the party! Followed all of our requests. He had great ideas. Very easy and fun to work with. He remembered everything we asked him to take care of. And he helped us get set up to record our special instrumental guest.

We absolutely loved having our 55-person wedding at Bar Carlo. The owner Mel is at the same time very supportive and very low-key, which made for a smooth planning process and day-of event. The space is gorgeous, and has multiple connected wings, which allowed for the the party to morph seamlessly over the night from barside cocktail hour to outdoor patio ceremony to dinner buffet to dance floor. The space is already a beautifully decorated artwork, and Mel lets you decide how to arrange the space for your event, but you can also bring your own decorations/sound system/llama and she can handle those additions easily. The food and drinks were delicious too, and Mel was able to accommodate our entirely vegan and gluten-free menu without hesitation. Overall we loved the unique-ness, flexibility and good vibes of the space and the people of Bar Carlo, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a cute and fun space for their wedding or other event. -Nicola & Lou

Hiring Hannah was hands-down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding (other than marrying each other). We had a very DIY, non-traditional wedding at a summer camp, with a lot of moving pieces, and she somehow made the entire weekend feel seamless—even when there was plenty of chaos happening behind the scenes! From the moment our guests started arriving Friday, she was there. She stayed overnight at camp, helped with our rehearsal, welcomed and coordinated arriving guests, and made sure everyone knew where they needed to be. Before the wedding, she communicated with all of our vendors, connected everyone with the timeline and important details, and made sure everyone was on the same page before the weekend even began. On the wedding day, she was absolutely invaluable. She helped bring together all of the DIY pieces we had planned, from getting the dining hall set up and keeping the event flowing to coordinating vendors and making sure the timeline stayed on track. She was organized, flexible, incredibly calm under pressure, and always seemed to have a solution before we even realized there was a problem. And there were definitely problems! We had a significant catering issue that could have easily disrupted the evening, but she handled it completely behind the scenes. We had no idea the extent of what she was dealing with until later because she protected us from the stress and let us keep enjoying our wedding. That alone was worth its weight in gold. She was also just fun to have around. She brought great ideas, communicated clearly, adapted to whatever we threw her way, and had the kind of wedding expertise that immediately puts you at ease. Her ability to keep everyone calm, even when things were moving quickly, was incredibly impressive. Our wedding looked like a beautiful, effortless celebration—but there was a LOT happening behind the scenes to make it that way, and she was the person holding it all together. Hannah was worth every penny—and honestly, probably worth even more. We would 100% recommend her to any couple, especially anyone planning a DIY, unconventional, or complicated wedding. If you want to actually enjoy your wedding instead of worrying about logistics, hire her. You will not regret it!

At Kvetka Flower, we believe wedding flowers should feel like a work of art — a living reflection of your love story. We work with seasonal blooms, muted palettes, and romantic untamed beauty.

I absolutely loved the outcome of our florals with Kvetka! We had a micro wedding so we just needed two large bouquets, a bridal bouquet and a boutonnière and everything they created was stunning. I didn’t have much of an initial vision so I asked her to throw something together to match the colors and vibes of the venue and the team did incredible! Would recommend to anyone, for a wedding or for other events!

JR Music Collective

Portland, OR
  • Solo performer
  • Starts at $2,000

JR Music Collective got its start with the simple idea of live music and DJ service from one vendor caught on across the region and the company began adding more musician/DJs to its roster. Oregon Bride Magazine first recognized JR Music Collective with an award in 2013. The collective has gone on to win awards every year since. We have a talented group of musicians and DJs waiting to make your day wonderful.

Hands down, JR Music Collective provided the best experience we could have asked for from a DJ. Everyone we worked with was extremely professional, and every step along the planning process felt seamless and easy because of their attention to detail. We had John, the owner, as our DJ and really felt taken care of along the entire way; he even learned a song on the guitar to perform for us during our first dance! Thank you, JR team! We will definitely hire you again if there are any further DJ needs!

Juliana did my hair and makeup for my wedding and I felt so beautiful. She worked with me during the trial to find a style that fulfilled my vision and did an amazing job of integrating flowers into the style. We even changed the style up pretty significantly between the trial and day of and it turned out perfectly. I was so happy with how the make up turned out. I don't wear a lot of make up normally. I felt like Juliana did a great job of creating a photo worthy look that also still felt like me. Both hair and makeup lasted all day long! I was so happy to work with Goddess Glamour. We’re a premium storytelling studio that brings a pop-up podcast booth to the heart of your wedding day. Think more Soho House than sound booth—elegant, intimate, and beautifully styled. Guests step inside and respond to meaningful, pre-recorded prompts in your voice, sharing love, laughter, and memories. After the wedding, we produce a polished podcast series—complete with music, editing, and heart. It’s the voices of your people, captured forever. More than a guestbook—it’s your story, as an audio heirloom told by the ones who lived it with you.

Do this immediately!!! it’s the best thing we did for our wedding. to be honest, we hesitated, and when we asked around our guest hesitated as well. Like I’m not sure people want to do a recording or maybe it’ll be a task rather than entertaining for the guest. It was far away the thing people love the most and we had a lot of things going on over three days. On the surface, it might not seem as impressive of an activity - it is!!! plus working with adam is amazing. i just can’t express how perfect the entire experience was. people loved it so much we had to add hours.

After over 18 years of experience, I have mastered the art of putting my clients at ease and creating an environment for them to be present and most importantly be themselves. Our wedding was this past Saturday (06.13.2026) at Wind Mountain Ranch and Brooke and the Luxe team absolutely exceeded expectations. Although the investment felt steep at times during planning, it was well worth the cost. Brooke navigated all the fine details, helped flawlessly coordinate the best vendors, and made an amazing day absolutely magical. She helped move things along in the planning process when things got stressful and was even able to manage my mother who had differing design opinions and direction to create something we were both happy with. She listened to everything we wanted, helped us stay in budget, and executed a detailed agenda with grace. Luxe is the real deal and the event ended up better than I could have dreamed of. On top of all of that, Brooke even sent some photos and videos via text following the wedding which I appreciated so much as we await the professional shots. Absolutely 1000% would recommend the Luxe team for your wedding and events! Photos by Summer Grace Photography

Portland, OR

My name is Nadia. I specialize in elopements + adventure weddings in the Pacific Northwest. I help people have the wedding of their dreams in magical outdoor spaces. When you choose to elope, you’re choosing to get married free of society’s wedding day expectations. So go wild! Spend the entire day in your favorite place, with your favorite person. Wear a fancy outfit, or wear your hiking boots. Invite your dog instead of your mom’s second cousin. Share your first kiss under the stars instead of under an altar. In the great outdoors, you write the wedding rules. And I’m here to help make it an experience you’ll remember for a lifetime.

Awarded Best of Zola
When we began looking for a photographer for our micro-wedding, we gravitated towards Nadia’s images over and over again. Not only did they capture raw, intimate moments between couples and families, but they elevated those moments in elegant and natural landscapes of the PNW; everything we wanted. We reached out and set up a consultation call immediately. We were initially nervous and felt very unprepared to speak with photographers because we had zero ideas for what our special day would look like, but after our call with Nadia we were confident that Venture Ever After was the right choice for us. She was so knowledgeable and did a TON of legwork planning our timeline to best capture the moments we wanted in the lighting we needed, recommending a variety of locations for some private moments as a couple and group activities with our family, and keeping us grounded and calm throughout the entire process. On our wedding day, Nadia took the reigns and gently guided us through the day with compassion and grace. She constantly reminded us that each moment was for us and encouraged us to revel in all of the details. She even conquered some pretty crazy heights armed with multiple cameras and a walky-talky to capture some dramatic and beautiful couple’s portraits. Beyond being an incredible photographer, Nadia is one of the most genuine and kind people I’ve met. She has a knack for keeping elopement/wedding day energy light and helping her clients feel natural in front of the camera. My partner and I truly felt like models. I feel so blessed to have our wedding photographed by her and, above all, be able to call her a friend. I would recommend Nadia at Venture Ever After to everyone planning an elopement, wedding, or adventure in the PNW. In fact, I hope to be able to visit her and capture anniversaries and momentous occasions for our family long into the future.

Lauren is the most incredible videographer and we are so glad we found her. She is insanely talented and such a joy to work with. If you are looking for a videographer that will be anything but “cookie cutter” - and who will capture the heart and soul of your big day - then Love Bug Pictures is it. We adored our video and will treasure it forever.

Andy! I just realized I never left my review for you!! Andy helped us plan our wedding for 2024 at Mt. Hood Skibowl. And holy cow, if you need a wedding planner PLEASE hire her. Our wedding was so smooth and she was so professional the whole process. If you are hesitant to get a planner, I could not recommend doing so and using her services enough. I genuinely do not think our wedding would have been as amazing as it was without her and her team. Her organization was top notch, she communicated with all of our vendors, and kept everyone in line throughout the day and months leading up to our wedding. My favorite thing she said leading up to our day was “my couples always eat and I make sure of that.” While that may seem silly to think of, reflecting back on it, that phrase demonstrates true care for her clients and passion for this industry. Weddings can feel commercialized and feel disingenuous at times. Andy ensured that wasn’t the case and we had the most amazing day to last for the rest of our lives. A huge thank you from the Marshes!!!
